I saw a video of huawei ascend mate which also has softkeys but you can tap on a down button on softkeys to hide them and with a swipe up gesture they come back again it will be really cool to have it on xperia z if any developer ports it.

i use gmd hide soft keys its great
Can't you use an option for expanded desktop?
Gmd soft keys are not like huawei implementation. Its like normal keys+ hide it at your own will and enable at ur own will just by a swipe

Hey guys I just downloaded DescableMe on my Nexus and it has a very nice feature, the game was full screen. And you need to drag a bit the top of the screen to show the transparent on screen buttons. Or volume key to show it with black bg. Can I have this feature to all apps and games? Thanks!!

It's immersive mode, has been introduced in kitkat and you'll have to wait for developers to add the feature.

You can, a Custom ROM like ParanoidAndroid has this option. It's called Immersive or PIE

if you are using S5 ported rom, I don't think it is compatible with softkey apps.
On my s5 I used gravity box, but now it only works for changing the recents to menu and not for changing long press home to recents... Anyone have a working solution? I'm rooted and I have xposed

Hello everyone, after much research, I have found the way to hide the navigation bar on the European model.
To do this, we need install this app https://mega.nz/#!908xCCaR!-co_qMEVwf14kXIhkgrVWJUtnajHTTfQ0S5Z0rYri6c and reboot.
After restarting, do the following steps:
1) Activate the floating button
2) Go to Settings/Touch Plus and activate the first two options
3) Back with the floating button and go back to Touch Plus
4) Disable Touch Plus
5) Disable floating button
We can hide the navbar.

I currently have enabled on my T-Mobile OnePlus 6T the navigation bar (Recents, Home, Back). Does anyone know how I can make the navigation bar transparent all the time without root?
You can use the app on the store navbars to change the color of the navbar, but not make it transparent. You can set the navbar off and just use gestures, but that gets old.
Just use lawnchair
