[Q] Philz touch custom rom problems

Hi I'm new to these forums can someone help me. I updated my galaxy s4 from mf9 to mja ota tried to root with Odin and failed, my phone got soft bricked and I managed to install cwm and install PAC man ROM. I downloaded sacs custom 4.3 ROM and I want to install it but I noticed that you need philz touch recovery so I tried to install in through Odin and it failed. So instead I downloaded the zip and flashed it through cwm and when I installed the rom it got stuck on the Samsung Galaxy s4 sph-l720 screen. So I was forced to restore my PAC man backup.
If someone can help me I'd really appreciate it..

rooting questions

I'm a noob to the s4. Just picked it up. I have stock 4.3 mk2. I want to root and use philz recovery and rwaintellects http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2567353 rom. Could someone give me a quick guide to root and install both. Before someone says read. I have been reading guides and threads for four hours and just want to be safe. I accept all help and comments. Thanks
After more reading and searching I think I have found the path to my question
odin: cf-autoroot
odin: philz
philz: rom
Is this correct? again any help is useful.
Yeah looks like you know what to do. Odin cf auto root. Then odin philz recovery. Male a backup and follow step by step to install Roma.

Since you already know the ROM you want, there is no need to root.
Just ODIN the Philz Recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39433857#post39433857
boot into download mode
start odin3 and configure it as in picture below
connect phone in download mode to PC via USB
press start to flash the tar.md5 package
normally, phone should auto-reboot into recovery.
If it reboots into main system and your recovery remains stock, repeat above steps and untick "autoreboot" in odin.
Once flash is done, keep pressing the 3 buttons combo to for a reboot into recovery. You should see the new CWM
when in recovery, if you choose option "reboot system now" and you get "yes - disable flash recovery", select that
option to avoid stock recovery overwriting cwm
to remove yellow triangle, use TriangleAway
Then boot into recovery and flash your ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2567353
To install this ROM follow these instructions EXACTLY:
Boot into Philz recovery
Select "Wipe Data/Factory reset"
Select "Clean to Install a New Rom"
Select "Yes I will install a new ROM".
Then flash this ROM.

[Q] Help Urgent! Custom Recovery Issues.

Hello, my phone has a rom installed that will not boot up. I use flashify to flash the custom recovery to backup/restore/flash files. Now that I cannot boot up my phone, I cannot use flashify. Odin will not stick TWRP to my phone, and I cannot get adb to recognize my device. I really need some help to get the custom recovery to stick so I can restore my backup. Please help if anyone knows how to fix my problem, thanks in advance!
Nvm, I fixed the problem. For anybody else having the same issues, all you have to do is download the stock firmware and install it through odin. Stock firmware can be found here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=27867

Unable to flash twrp or PhilZ reovery
Hi Guys,
This is my first post on XDA and i am very much new to rooting/flashing. Yesterday i rooted my Galaxy S4 i9500 version using cf-autoroot method and everything went very smooth as expected. So then i installed twrp latest veriosn (2.8..x.x..) via odin; however after twrp installation i found that my root access was gone and SuperSu was also gone from the system.
I downloaded SuperSU .zip file as well from chainfire's website as well and tried flashing it with twrp in recovery mode; however it still didn't succeed. So i thought that i probably need to root again; and i did that via odin again using cf-autoroot but now twrp is gone and i am back with stock recovery. Now today again i tried to flash PhilZ recovery from .zip from stock recovery option "Apply Update from external sd card" ., the process completed however were some errors related to "Failed signature" and i am still stuck on Stock recovery only.
So can anyone please help me out or guide me, on what i need to do or what i am missing !!

The problem is that I'm trying to flash Philz trough ODIN and it shows as completed, reboots and everything as usual, but when I enter in recovery mode I still have the original. I also tryed TWRP and have the same issue.
