[Q] Nexus 4 UK Contracts - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am on contract, with a 4, in the UK with "3".
My wife tried to upgrade, on "3", to a 4 but was informed that they no longer supply them on contract.
Does anyone know where she can get the 4, on contract, in the UK?
Thanks............................

Just get one from Google Play or a used one from eBay/Gumtree, they're cheap enough and you'll be able to switch to a much cheaper SIM only contract

Cheapest Note II buy for the UK

When I was looking for a website to buy my Note II I came across this website that does camera equipment (some smart phones included) for cheap. This is possibly the cheapest I've seen the Note II, at £469.99 with free delivery in the UK. The shipments from Hong Kong, but the website has had nothing but brilliant reviews and they have a local warranty location based in London. Mine is just waiting to be shipped at the moment. The links below if anyone wants to check it out!

Just bought mine from Panamoz for £430 with shipping (got 5% off using BACS).
Yep, +1 for Panamoz. I got mine on the O2 deal on Hotukdeals for around £400 but the Panamoz deal is just as good because you don't have to rely on quidco or tcb.

thanks for the post!! I am bit skeptical about grey market, 2 years before i would have preferred grey market but now a days when I want to insure my phone i can not do that with grey market receipts, can I?
Tbh, not sure.
If you're uncomfortable buying from Panamoz or amazon.de you could check out hotukdeals, good offers sometimes come up on there.

Good luck with any warranty claims on those. Buying from outside the UK you are at the mercy of country of origin warranty or manufacturers warranty which may or may not cover you.
Got mine from Amazon UK. Paid a little more than those prices but I know I'm getting a UK spec device with a full UK supplier warranty covered by the Sale of Goods Act.

Actually they are really good when it comes to warranty, depending on your problem they'll swap you a new phone if they can't find a fix. Because you haven't used them or heard of them, don't make bad assumption of them. I used them for a while a long with my friends and there service is brill, i'm talking about Panamoz. That is why they recieved 4.8 out of 5 from 500 reviews.
£400 brand new from me, I've got my SIM free titanium grey note 2 coming tomorrow from Tesco on contract but I only need this SIM card since getting the nexus now
Ps, the note I'm using now is one I got from amazon that I'm going to return, I'll leave this new note sealed

thanks mate
It is too dear !!
it's too expensive...
In China, N7100 is about £420 in Amazon and New Egg etc
Stick with a reliable source such as Amazon, with Amazon you have a 30 days return period. No questions asked policy. So if your device is defective keep swapping until you get a perfect one. For us Amazon Prime users they even send out a replacement the next day and have upto 30 days to return the defective phone now thats good.

So here is what I thinK Panamoz can sell it so cheap because they are goey market handsets g, if there is a problem they will replace it with another grey Markel but they don't Provide VAT receipts • for me it is not safe q chose to buy it from gumtree for cash With bill so that I Can claim Warranty. It's up to you but panama are pretty good as per reviews
+1 for Panamoz here. Excellent sales and after sales service, can't recommend highly enough!
Has anyone actually recieved the phone from panamoz. The deal seems to good to be true. Thinking i might return the one I bought from amazon for 495.

I am also thinking about this for a long time. Getting a N4 from US isn't tough. But looking at all the problems of N4 including the famous buzzing sound I am not too interested. Again the GN price isn't coming down in India as well.

For me N4 sucks, just because of LG manufacturing.
While buying a new Gnex isn't worth, as our situation demands. So it would be better to find and buy a second hand (used) Gnex either from Ebay (I trust ebay) or from a local store and use it for around an year and then may be go for a brand new latest nexus, when they release one.

Not just on Play Store, within 24k you can simply buy and import N4 to India incl. all the taxes and duties.
But Gnex is worth the price, N4 shall never reach the heights that NS and Gnex attained. :victory:

Any deals on Xbox live cards?

I know Amazon used to have a year for $34 which was a really good deal but I didn't grab it. Any sites have a good price?

i bought my subscription here:

they are the cheapest i found so far, and they deliver it fast on email.
It says on the site that that code with 2 extra months is out of stock but if you scroll to the bottom theres a regular 12 month for sale and its in stock just a heads. Also check on xbox live on the console. Sometimes they have really good 1 year deals

last week an add showed up on my xbox homescreen offering one moth of xbox live for $1. Went ahead and bought it. The catch is that you have to visit the page and unsubscribe, otherwise they will be charging you $9.99 a month from then on. Of course, if you're fine with that you dont really have to unsubscribe. I did though, and am currently enjoying my (almost free) month, just for $1. Told a friend and he did the same. I wonder if the offer will be up next month as well.
Dont worry you can get xbl cards for free here:

Straight talk questions

I bought a Straight Talk at&t SIM from eBay recently for use on my Nexus 4. I am going to be out of the country for three months. If I don't activate the SIM right away, can I activate it when I come back in three months?
Can I switch from plan to plan once I have it activated? Does it support LTE or HSPA+ speeds?
Much thanks!

Yes you can activate it in 3 months.
Straight talk (at&t) does not have lte use. However you will get H.

price alert

Just wanted to let everyone know you can get the 32 GB nexus 7 (2013) for $229 at Office Depot. I'm guessing they overstocked for Christmas. The 16 GB is $200. Best deal I've seen on them so far.
Indeed. Just picked my 32gb up from there yesterday. Great deal.

Yeah they probably were overstock. In my area alone every Bestbuy i checked was fully stocked. My guess is everyone was buying the Galaxy Tab 3 since it was on sale for $159. I bought one of those but ended up up returning it because it was so slow and the screen quality wasn't great.
