[Q] LiquidSmooth google gapps error - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I keep getting this error. I reinstalled the 2.8 rom and google gapps package. Wiped the dalvik and cache. But still same thing. Any idea.

Adding to what I said above. I also notice with certain games I can't get online. I have the same games on my phone. Use the same wifi. But with this rom I can not.

HELP! - my market and phone are acting up

So, I decided to do a full wipe (minus sd) and re-install a fresh copy of CM7 7.1.0 on my Nex S. Anyways, I went into CWM, did cache wipe, factory wipe, and dalvik, wiped /data manually for good measure, and went thru installing the ROM, then my custom kernel (TEUV morfic), and then the latest gapps.
Upon boot, I notice the following things:
1. The welcome screen never comes up! It just goes to the desktop/home screen.
2. The market is gone! I've never had this happen, but it's just not there anymore
3. I can't add Google accounts like I normally do. It only allows me to add Exchange accounts.
What am I missing here?!? This is driving me nuts. I've tried reinstalling, rewiping, reflashing, re-EVERYTHING to no avail. I don't understand WTF is up with this.
You forgot to flash the latest gapps.
http://goo-inside.me/gapps
Note. You may have flashed the one that is labeled new-talk at the end. This is not the full gapps. You flash that file alongside the gapps with the same date.

PA Gapps package FC's acore

AS in the title.
Any GAPPS package I flash on the latest PA crashes the acore service (which is the Play Services, right?).
Apps like Hangouts and G+ I think are the culprit, but even removing those doesn't help. Previously, on vanilla, neither of them would work, so I figured I'd branch out to AOSP to see if this helps, plus, it's nice to use. But no :/
I get this when I dirty flash. If you clear app data and cache for Contacts and Contacts Storage, then reboot, the problem should go away.
I'd come from a complete wipe (moved the zips to a usb stick and installed from a USB-OTG cable)... Everything was gone /system /data. you name it.
Ended up installing AOKP MR1 and the gapps package from march. Works great now.

Kepp getting google apps fc when starting device!

I've had this problem now for about 2 months and I have reinstalled my rom&kernel serveral times and wiped all sorts of caches and reinstalled gapps many times but the problem persists.
When I reboot my N4 I keep getting these messages:
The process com.google.process.location have stopped.
Google play services have stopped.
And then they keep coming upp every now and then when using the phone.
My current rom is Purity with the semaphore kernel and I'm using PA Nano gapps.

I had the same issue once, was running PA rom.
Clearing caches and reinstalling the rom didnt' work, had to do a full wipe to set it right.
I have done a full wipe aswell :S

You could try verifying that the rom and gapps are not corrupt.

Yeah but I have done 3 full wipes since this started happening, so I have had about 3 different versions downloaded.

Then I guess you could either try a different rom or flash the factory image.

Play Store Access

A bit of a weird one.
Updated to CM12.1 Atares ROM :good: I have been running CM12 ROMS for ages and updated to the 12.1 via the OTG in settings and using Nightlies.
I have only noticed problem yesterday and going back to CM12 just causes more problems, also going back to the previous Nightly doesn't help
I cannot access Google Play Store. 'Check your connection and try again' All WiFi settings are correct etc... even when using mobile data, I still cannot get access.
My GT1905 has disappeared off my devices list on the play store too! I've also noticed that Google+ has disappeared off my phone too, but more interestingly my SUBCARD app has gone too! (not sure if others have gone but I noticed this as I like a subway :yum: ) But... if I go to the playstore on my phone (or PC/tablet etc...) via chrome it says it's installed! I cannot access it via my apps list.
So other than doing a wipe of my phone if there any other suggestions?
Did you perform a full wipe before updating?
You cannot just flash it over an old CM 12 you need a fresh install.

Well I would of done if it hadn't come via the OTA updates, never noticed it went from CM12 to CM12.1 until Monday/Tuesday last week.
Will do a full wipe later on today and see what happens.

Custom rom OTA's are not like official rom OTA's. Doing a wipe is still recommended. Anyway, force stopping google play and clearing app cache and data might help you in this case.
Had similar issues on other roms, even though I wiped before flashing.

I tried clearing all data and cache and also force stopping. WhisperPush kept crashing too.
Wiped the phone and started again, all sorted now with CM12.1 latest nightly build
Cheers for the advice guys.

PureNexus 6.0.1-20160315: "Unfortunatley, Google play services has stopped."
Hi there.
Yesterday i got my Nexus 6P rooted and flashed the latest TWRP version and the latest version of the PureNexus ROM on it. Unfortunately, I receive the following pop-up in irregular spans: "Unfortunatley, Google play services has stopped." The message pops up randomly when I use the smartphone, but logically especially then when I use apps like YouTube and such. It also goes away automatically, but it's extremly annoying.
Apart from that, the system runs great. I already tried the following, without success:
-installing another version of GApps
-deleting dalvik/cache and data
-deleting data and cache of the "Google Play Services", "Google Play Store" and "Google Services Framework" under Settings->Apps" with a followed reboot
-reset app preferences under Settings->Apps"
-manually install another version of the "Google Play Services"
-reinstall the zip file of the GApps.
-installation of another GApps file with the stock version of it from the official page instead of the one that's listed on xda.
-other small stuff...
...but the problem still persists. I hope you guys can help me solving this issue, I'd really like to stay on the PureNexus ROM
Thanks in advance, aightbit

Exactly what Gapps have you flashed? Do you have any apps that suppress services, like Greenify or Servicely?

First, thanks for the reply.
I got GApps from the site http://opengapps.org/ with the following setup: ARM64, Android 6.0, stock.
I don't use any suppress services, the problem was there from the beginning after the first boot with the PureNexus and GApps flashed on the device.
Should probably use the ones from the Pure Nexus Post

Did you wipe properly (system, data, cache, dalvik cache) before flashing?

That isn't the cause, I use Open Gapps too.

I'm pretty sure I did, I might have missed one of these points. I will retry it later this week, unfortunately I can't do it right now, I have limited access to my smartphone due to work.

I'm aware of that. Tried it with this type of Gapps first, then switched to the Gapps I provided to after I experienced the problem...

I just wiped the parameters you specified and flashed the dynamic Gapps and the same version of the PureNexus ROM again, it now works without a flaw.
Thanks for the help guys and a nice easter.
