I have an i337 and am running Clean ROM 1.5 with MF3 modem. I also have the Xposed framework and Nottach app installed. Today I also installed the 3mint framework with the 2.3 settings app. Everything works great except the text labels on my power menu are incorrect for the 'Power Off' and 'Restart' positions. The 'Power off' position is currently labeled as 'Restart' and the 'Restart' position is currently labeled as 'Mute'. The top of the menu is also labeled as 'Screen Lock', but I believe it should say 'Power Menu' or something like that. See attached pic.
Any ideas on how I can fix the text labels? Thank you.
Anybody have any thoughts on this? I should add that I did not have the issue until I added 3 minit framework into the mix. Thanks.

Is anyone else having an issue with CM7 where the right combination of gestures or touches while cause the menu bar to disappear? I have no idea how to reproduce it, or how to recover from it (short of a reboot) but it's happened at least 4 times i as many weeks.
Just curious if something is corrupt with my install or if it's a common issue.
If the bar is just invisible (the buttons still work, but there are no graphics), just rotate the screen and they should come back.
If you've touched the double-chevron button and the status bar went away, an app has requested fullscreen mode and the chevrons grant the request. Hit "home" to get somewhere that isn't fullscreen. You can pick an "un-hide" button and do other similar things in Settings/Tablet Tweaks, look for "Disable Fullscreen" and "Choose unhide button".
If neither of the above holds, your statusbar has crashed. There's an app that's supposed to bring it back, but that never worked properly for me. I have to reboot.
This hasn't happened to me in recent nightlies, but I'm not positive that the problem is really gone yet.

I've had the menu bar disappear while certain apps were open, preventing me from accessing the app menu and had to use the 'n' button to get out. To get around this I am using Button Savior.

That's my situation. The status bar / buttons disappear, so I hit the physical home button (the N as in Nook button), but the bar is still gone. This was happening on 7.0.3... i just installed 7.1 RC1 and haven't had it happen yet... we'll see.

Go to Settings/CyanogenMod settings/Tablet Tweaks, and check to see that you have the "Disable fullscreen" option checked. That prevents apps from overriding the status bar visibility. Additionally, you can setup an "unhide" button in case you accidentally hit the chevron or otherwise lose the Tablet Tweaks status bar.

Because you say "menu bar" and later on say you press the N button and they are still missing I believe you are talking about the ADW menu buttons (the launcher and apps buttons). If that is what you are referrinng to then you should go into ADW settings and uncheck the hidden taskbar option. By default it is checked.
can reproduce it on my EVO
I found out how to make the menu disappear, but cannot make it reappear.
I have an EVO 4G (original supersonic) and I am able to make the bottom home menu disappear using a downward swipe. I've done this accidentally quite a few times. (I'm referring to the Phone/Square/World Icons that launch the primary apps)
However, I do not know how to make it come back. I have been able to swipe randomly and get it to reappear, but I do not know what combination actually causes this.
The only way I know how to bring it back for sure, is a reboot. I wish I knew what that swipe combination was to restore the menu

By "Menu Bar", do you mean the the Dock where you can access the App Drawer?
If this is it, then you just have to swipe it up. But to just to warn you, it is "VERY HARD" to get the right swipe for it to show again. Trust me, I tried. Best solution would be to disable the "HIDE" Capability of the Dockbar by going into Settings>ADWLauncher>UI Settings Go down to Hidden Dockbar and disable Dockbar.

thanks thewaywardgeek013, that worked perfectly. It's almost impossible to find the right settings.
Maybe I am weird, but I really like the menu overflow icon (that appears on devices without a menu button) even when a physical menu button is available (i.e, even on the GS4). Using CM in the past, there was an option in settings to enable this and I typically did and it worked great.
From my research, it appears that for Android >4.0 in general we can alter the build.prop file to tell the system to show the overflow menu item by setting:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
I tried this on my GS4 (running a rooted Stock ROM, latest OTA update) and it worked! Except .. SystemUI kept crashing, over and over. As far as I can tell, everything else was fine, but with SystemUI not functioning (no system bar displayed at all) and FC messages constantly showing every few seconds, it was hard to check into things much so I reverted back.
So, my question is: Does anyone know (or know how to found out) why this mod would crash SystemUI? And, is there any way to alter SystemUI so that this mod would not cause it to crash and therefore allow us to enable the menu overflow?
I know that the GS4's stock firmware is most likely hard-coded to never show the menu overflow, and that could certainly simply be the issue, but I am curious if there is a quick and easy fix for the SystemUI issue for this or if anyone else has tried this. And, of course, most likely all of the stock TW apps are hard-coded to never show the menu icon as well. Nevertheless, I am curious if this is possible on a rooted Stock ROM.
Thanks!
Bump. Also looking for this feature as I want to remap my menu button. I know custom roms allow for the action overflow icon, and it worked fine on my Infuse.
[Q] Remove the "Voice Mate, Google, Quick Memo" menu from the bottom of the screen?
I installed GravityBox w/ CM PIE controls to replace the navigation bar. I want it on the bottom but with the "swipe up" launcher menu containing Voice Mate, Google Now and Quick Memo there I can't seem to do that. Anyone have any idea how to disable this? Maybe point me in the right direction so I can figure out a solution?
solved!
I'll leave this thread up in case anyone else is interested but I've solved my own issue by removing the NAV BAR via/ build.prop. It also removed the launch menu.

Solution: add to build.prop (if you don't know how then use Build Prop Editor from market)
root required!
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
I don't know if I can help u... I've tried uninstalled single app... in my case I hate Qvoice so I uninstalled it and that app disappear from swipe up... but I looked for the swipe up menu to change setting but I fail... Here is a screenshot with swipe up without qvoice
In the recent menu/ app switcher, I get this "couldn't add widget" display at the top. Phone works nicely, but this widget error display is annoying for me. I have the moto rooted with twrp. Anyone having the same issue? I tried rebooting, clearing cache, clearing data from google search app with no solution.
Thanks in advance
Do you have Xposed installed with any modules set to "Hide search bar in recents"?
I remember I had that on my M8 when I hid the search bar in the recents..... It was eventually fixed in a ROM update, but I had to live with it for a while, or show the search bar.

No xposed, just stock rooted. Should have mentioned that, lol... any other ideas? thanks
SUCCESS!
So i booted into safe mode (while phone is on, hold power and long press "power off" and tap boot into safe mode), then launch the recent apps menu and the widget (google search) is there, then reboot phone like normal.
Hope this helps if anyone has the same thing.
Hi.. can someone help me. My settings view suddenly changed to tabbed view, like attached picture.
First i think it's an xposed module causing it, but i uninstalled xposed but still the same.
I cleared the setting app data, but still same.
I long pressed recent to show menu, but no menu is shown, suppose there's menu to switch to list view.
Please help. It's really ugly. Thanks.
