I accidentally broke sim card reader pins on my Galaxy S4 I9505 international GSM model(i guess thats the model).
So i found out that it is really easy to repair, you just buy new card reader and replace it.
But,im having a problem finding a right card reader on ebay,i only found I9500 and I9505 LTE one. Are there any diffrences between card readers of all these models or i can buy whichever i want?
Do you guys have experience with this problem,is it easy to solve?

I guess I'll bump too but I have a question. Does your phone work at all or does it say there is a sim error or does it not read at all? I've dropped my phone a few times on carpet and my 3g/4g was intermittent for a day and now won't turn on. I did all kinds of flashing and software testing and now think its a Sim card connection or antenna problem. I just need to know if a broken PIN might still allow 2g to work.
I hope you get your phone fixed.

You have to have the correct size SIM card (the N4 uses micro SIM). If you don't have the correct size, then you can just go to an AT&T store and ask them to swap you out with the size you need. It should be free.

Same story. Few days ago I bought this device (G900R7) on ebay. I thought it was CDMA+GSM phone, like G900v and G900p, but I was wrong. It turns out, that this phone is CDMA only. There are no CDMA networks in my country.
SIM card slot is for 4G LTE internet ONLY. Phone can't ever discover gsm networks.

if thats the case, its quite unfortunate and you have my sympathy. But it just seems odd for that to be the case. The only 2 versions that i was aware of that physically differed from one another were the xynos vs snapdragon processor. Other than that it just doesnt make any sense for samsung to have had taken gsm capabilities away. The radio firmware very well could be written to not look for gsm networks, and that might be an obstacle that isnt something we can fix, but i seriously doubt that its a physical thing

I dont think dual sims are normally sold in the US. I purchased my from hongkong. Although i live in the UK i do like to use dual sims. However samsung s7 has one big problem. You can either use 2 sims or 1 sim and 1 sd card combination.

Yes I know dual sims is not big in US. This unit will be sent to my family in India hence the dual sim question. There is a hack to use 2 Sims plus microSD card but that's for later. Right now I want to know if there is a way to use two sims on my phone's model.
Thanks!

One cannot use two sims atleast on the atnt model.
Thanks for chipping in.

Are there any US carriers whose Sim card will fit in 2nd Sim card slot? AT&T and T-Mobile don't fit.
Why don't they fit? Both sim slots have the same network bands.
The US variants (included the unlocked models) are NOT dual sim devices.

Neither has a card the same size as the slot. Either too big or too small.
I have dual SIM. Att sim fits in both slots. Perhaps you have the wrong type of sim.

I would doubt the tray is because on the dual sim tray the same size card fits in both slots
So either you have the wrong tray.. Or you have a single sim phone

That's the clue right there.
On the box you will see two IMEIs.
Mine has DUOS on the box as well.
The tray for DUOS can accept dual sim cards or a single sim and microSD card.
With 1TB storage the need for the microSD is moot except perhaps if the need to transfer a lot of data.
For most transfers, wifi5 and airdroid suffice.

My sim tray is exactly like this
https://www.google.co.th/search?q=s...biw=412&bih=771&dpr=2.63#imgrc=wAlKBc0SGWlfdM
There should be no problem at all fitting both nano sims.

Can't really tell if you are being sarcastic or genuinely trying to be helpful. But yes it is a dual SIM card model, it has 2 imei #, under setting it shows the empty 2nd Sim card. No card fits in it. I'd accept it was my not knowing how to put a Sim card in a phone, even though my S8+ was also a dual sim model, if I hadn't been to both AT&T and T-Mobile stores and no one could make it work. Really glad you got yours to, but it doesn't fit in my device.

Calm down man. People here are trying to help you. Since almost no one here has ever had problem inserting sim card, and you don't tell us much about the detail, we then assume you have single sim variant, wrong sim tray, etc.
It would be a lot easier if you just take a picture of your sim card tray and post in here so we all can understand what really happen.
If you cannot post picture or whatever other reasons, just cut the sim card to make it fit. I used to cut many normal sims to micro sims and micro sims to nano sims in the past (nowadays, all operators in my country make 3 in 1 sim cards that I can pop out whatever size I wanted).
However, I am absolutelyx3 certain that nano sim fits S10 second sim slot.

The sim type for both is the same. So if your card does not fit in slot 2 I can only assume the wrong sim carrier has been supplied
I would either goto a Samsung experience store or talk to the supplier of the phone and advise them and try to get another sim carrier from them
But there is certainly no need for a different type of sim

Amazon. Pretty sure it's the right tray. The slot says microSD/Sim 2. Will take the advice of previous post and take it to a Samsung store. Not a huge deal it was just convenient to have 1 phone instead of 2 since I work on sales and have customers calling all the time

You sure it's a nano sim?
Hi all.
I have an old SGH-M919 (TMo S4) which now is starting to get the "No Sim Card" problem. Given that I am in London, England (where you can't normally get the SGH-M919 because LTE/4G doesn't work due to the differing frequencies) I thought about just swapping out the failing SGH-M919 motherboard for a GT-I9505 (Int'l S4) motherboard.
I already know that software-wise, it *should* work, but how about hardware compatibility - will the new motherboard fit, physically and electrically?
Many thanks.
There are subtle differences between the M919 and I9505 boards which will prevent you from replacing the entire board. Besides, have you tried replacing just the SIM card tray yet?

Thank you for replying.
No, I have not yet tried replacing just the SIM card tray. I thought that if I replaced just the sim card tray then I would not be able to get 4G (the M919 that I have uses USA 4G frequencies whereas I live in London, England where I think that the 4G frequencies are different). I have found replacement GT-I9505 motherboards for approximately the same price as it would cost to get the SIM card tray replaced, so I thought "Why not change the whole motherboard, then I could get 4G too".
If the GT-I9505 motherboard will not fit in my M919 case, then I guess that I will *have to* just change the SIM card tray (and be happy with HSPA+/HSPA(Plus)/HSPAP etc!)
Thanks again - you've saved me from buying a motherboard that won't fit! :good:

The SIM card tray is pretty much universal. I replaced the SIM tray in my I9505 with one intended for an I9500. I too expected not to have LTE, but two years ago I had to use my I9505 for a few days while waiting for my Pixel 2 XL to arrive from Google. I picked up LTE signals due to AT&T having converted some of its 3G spectrum to LTE on one of the bands the device supports.
