Update pending?

I got a update pending on my phone right now at work so I don't wanna update yet in case it bricks me could it be 2.2 because I got the last update they sent out and if it is 2.2 should I update it because I believe I read 2.2 is harder to root (true?) And I wanna flash once the source code is released and bionix does there magic

Could be a KA2 baseband update only. I just got an update this morning OTA and it wasn't froyo...just baseband update to KA6. I was previously on stock JI6...see the thread I just created...

Just do it, there hasnt been a samsung update yet thats stumped our devs. If anything happens you can just odin back to stock.

[Q] Why no 4.1.2?

I havent recieved the update for 4.1.2
Could this be because I'm in the UK?
Or is it because I'm Rooted?
EVERYTHING is stock, but I used the ToolKit to Root, is this why I can't get the 4.1.2?

Did you use a one-click tool kit to root your device?
I did and im wondering if its that.

From what I read in the 4.1.2 thread, it's rolled out gradually. Could be anywhere from now to next two weeks. Even Sky boxes in the UK get updated the same way if you own one of those

Hi all....done some digging, and came across this.....

A lot of regions are still "pending" (no surprise there lol) but at least you *may* get some idea about when/if you're going to get an update......

No info available for official rollout. Only one answer is available, if u want an update? manually update it through ODIN otherwise wait wait and wait....

4.2.2 Update

Now it's time for the Scandinavian country's after Taiwan for Android 4.2.2 jellybean update. Just received the update. Improved a lot if things. 400+ mb update rolled out for unlocked versions.

Hello, I was wondering whether someone could answer this for me...

When the 4G update for three users becomes available in my area in the UK, will it be a problem receiving this update because my S4 is rooted?
P.s I apologise in advance if this question is in the wrong area of the forum. Tbh honest I'm still fairly new to xda.

No problem should post in the Q&A section
But you won't get OTA when rooted cause device is not official and updates become disabled...
There are was to root phone and keep OTA but if you haven't done it the way then answer. Is NO UPDATES ....

If u are rooted u cant update ur phone via OTA but yes with Kies :good:
