I have a S4 I9505 locked to O2, I'm going to use giffgaff so it uses the o2 network anyway but I still want to unlock the phone. I have tried the instructions about the NV rebuild but even though SHA256 is OFF (0) it still brings up a screen with the network code you have to put in. Anyone have any ideas?
Updated the firmware to the latest "GT-I9505 Modified Stock Packages" and it says on the service menu "Service Limited" when I press 1 to bring up the menu nothing happens now
Paid for a network unlock code now and got it unlocked, but still can't access that menu!

When you say you hit the wrong button, were you in bootloader mode, if yes, then enter bootloader and make sure you choose the correct setting for your service provider.
Hi all, I aready have the unlock code, I got it calling T-Mobile telling them I was going over seas, my problem is that when you insert a none t-mobile sim card example AT&T and you turn on your phone it will it supposed to bring an option so you can enter the code and unlock the cell phone, but these option dose not appear.
How can I make it appear so I can enter the unlock code?
is there any other way... do I have to use the factory reset?
another info its that this phone has never been rooted or unlocked

I have an I9300 under the latest Omnirom nightly
I got the unlock code from my mobile operator/ So when I insert a foreign SIM, it requires me to fill it, which I do, but it returns an error saying that the network unlocking was unsuccessful.
I've tryed using dial codes like:
#7465625*638*XXXXXXXX# (XXXXXXXX being the actual code) to unlock SIM network, but it says "Connection issue or invalide HMI code
*#*#197328640#*#* to run service menu and get to the network lock menu, but it says that "MENU NOT EXIST PRESS BACK KEY Current Command is 186"
I've also tryed using GalaxSim Unlock application but it 's unable to actually unlock my phone because it says the blocking system is not yet supported.
I'm running out of ideas to unlock SIM network on my phone, so any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

You probably have to be on the stock ROM to unlock.

I have lg g2(D802) with Orange simlock and I just wondering that is it possible to remove simlock by flashing kernel or rom?
I have tried to remove it by code but when I enter 2945#*802# and select any option, I get the message that the phone is permanently locked.
No. you need to buy an unlock code.
It's 1.7 - 1.9 $, it's cheap if you ask me.

Maybe the device is blacklisted or something. Or wrong code has been entered few times. Try other types of unlock or try inserting unsupported sim

I have exactly the same problema. My operator gives me wrong codes and now it say that it is my fault.
So I have my LG g2 802 rooted and I wonder how to unlock it, beacause of the bad operator behaviour (Vodafone) I just want to change my service provider asap, but I just very happy with my current phone.
so, does anybody some new ideas about how to unlock a "permanent blocked" phone?

I have got a Galaxy S5 G900F.
I managed to install Lineage 14.1 with root. Then I purchased SIM UNLOCK codes.
I did it the same way I did with a Galaxy Note 3. But the problem is the unlock code doesn't work with the S5:
I insert a simcard from a locked provider.
The phone asks for "SIM network unlock PIN"
I enter the code and and touch "unlock"
"SIM Network unlock successful" appears
But after a few seconds the "SIM network unlock PIN" prompt pops up again.
No matter which code I enter "unlock successful" appears but it doesn't work.
Do I need to have stock rom for sim unlock?
Any help is appreciated!

I have found the solution. Flashing back to stock rom, then enter the unlock code there, afterwards flash to LineageOS14 and it everything is working
