Can anyone test my beta app? - Galaxy S III General

Hi guys, I'm developing a flashlight app (Lanterna), yeah it's in Portuguese, I'm Brazillian. Can anyone just download my APK, install and test if led is turning on? I just tested on my Nexus 4, and I don't have a Galaxy SIII.
Thanks, sorry for bad English..

We have a Themes and Apps section .

Thanks a lot xD,
I tested turning off the screen, this is because Android put my app in a "pause mode", i'll put a WakeLock, so it'll still on, Your idea of "blink" is very good!, I'll try to implement this on the app, For sure I'll support Portuguese, English, Spanish, and if you can help, Arabic, I can provide a .xls with the strings to you, and the design, on Android, there are a lot of screens to support ldpi, mdpi, hdpi, xhdpi and xxhdpi. But I don't know how to start.. I'll add credits to you when my app get to Google Play xD

Siri for Android.
This is real Siri for Android, and is in Chinese.
As I am a Noob, in Android Development, So I hope someone can take the pains in translating this software in English for us, and also when I tested , It really works like my SIRI for Iphone 4s.
It replies back in Chinese.
DOWNLOAD HERE:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?a6wifssh3djokf2
So Please take pains in converting this to English and our Android Phones will have a Fully working SIRI.
Thanks
I'll have a shot at it. I've translated stuff before

whoa cool..
where did you find t his?
so this a siri clone for china which isnt available on the iphone 4s yet,, but works on android? if someone can explain how it bypasses the security token authentication on the siri servers then its easier to build one from the ground up..
Played around with it and figured that it was another app with a modified GUI made to look like Siri.
http://www.360iii.com/
Yes It has many features , which could atleast be read if someone translated it. When in there are 4 options, which hides task bar, you have options for running it in background.
There are options for 3 web redressals, one is chinese website, other being BING and Google.
So I guess a Translation of the full features would be a next step towards making the real siri.
Hoping positive guys...
If you guys need help in translating from Chinese to English , I can help... I understand Chinese language.
Guys be careful with this. As if you do get it working apple will issue a C&D order and have it pulled. China gets away with it due to their laws or lack their of on copyrights.
Just a suggestion change the thread name just a little
Downloading now. Thanks guys
-Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Huh, looks exactly like it. But they wouldn't make a real one for android would they?
I hope someone translates it though.
"You know, a long time ago being crazy meant something. Nowadays everybody's crazy."
just played around with it a little, seems to work a lot better than the other siri clones
Changing the thread name isn't gonna matter. The mod team is no aware of it.
the only way this would work as the current situation stems out is via a proxy like the spire port for the older i-devices.. When it doesn't rely on hardware apple can easily change the software both the client/server sides and close up any holes immediately...
Would be good if apple loosened up on the world domination plans and leased siri licences to resellers with strict authentication protocols.
shame this is what it is...
I take it there is no way of changing the language on this?

What happens (and what to do) if you flash Galaxy Note ROM on S2

Hello guys!
The other day I decided to flash a Galaxy Note ROM for my Galaxy S2 (cause I thought they were alike and I was bored) but lo and behold after flashing, guess what happened?
Answer: nothing.
The screen wouldn't even turn on. If you find yourself in the same kind of situation as me (why would you even do such a thing), here's how to revive your S2.
Remove the battery
Wait for a while (5-10 seconds)
Plug the battery back
Hold down volume down, home button and power button for 10-15 seconds
Press volume up
Flash using Odin
Note that at points 4, 5 and 6 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING will be displayed on the screen - you might think that you bricked your phone, but it's actually still functioning!
Please don't repeat my stupidity and flash a Galaxy Note ROM to your S2! They're similar, but NOT THAT similar!
Hope this helped!
Fun fact: The phone got pretty close to booting - I heard the Samsung startup sound!

Hi all,
Good to see some one tried out by flashing a wrong ROM for a wrong Phone but ideally the he had the guts to check for the same.
+1 for letting ppl know what needs to be avoided in case of flashing ROM to specific ROM
You must be the worlds dumbest idiot.
Actually it's not very idiotic to try this out... Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note are nearly the same pieces of hardware, and with a bit of editing it might be possble to make it running.
A SGH-717 Note rom actually boots no problem on SGH-757M G S2 HD LTE. The hardware is like 99% identical. Sure some off the stock apps didn't quite work properly (mostly the stylus ones) but if it ever gets Jelly bean I'm going to try porting it as I doubt Bell will do an update past ICS for my phone.
Till now i used to think that i am the only one to make dump threads but you crossed the line.. Hatts off :banghead:
Peace

I have a better idea:
- Buy an IPhone 5
- Break the outer shell.
- Put all the parts in a Galaxy S2 body.
- Make cutouts for camera, buttons and ports.
- Use tape to cover the empty space in display.
Voila! You have a S2 running 100% IOS..

[APP] Car Dashboard *Beta*

Hi all, im not a experienced developer, perhaps im doing my best, i develop sms enhancer (there is a thread on xda), and some other few apps. however i always like HTC car dashboard but i didint find any app like this on the market, thats why i tried to make my own. so atm its in the beta stage i add it a lot of things and take me like 3 months (i cant develop everyday) but i guess its enough for a beta.
My app has up to 8 Shortcuts (not sure if i should add more) a dialer (with smart dial) clock, weather, speedometer.and more.
im looking for help to make this awesome, but seems my main problem its the "screen density" and sizes, this app its intenden for at least 800x400 screen resolution or "HDPI" up to XHDPI like Gnex, htc one x and so on. (after i finish i will resize for tablets) im using yahoo weather and sometimes for me the api its difficult to use but seems woriking well. i need help for test new features, fix bugs, if you like what dont like and so on.
so if you can help me with:
Logcat (In case it crash)
Any android 2.3+ (i preferer 4.0+)
any screen resolution (but low resolution screen atm the images will be overlapped)
The rom you are using and version of my app .
any thoughs for be better or fix let me know
"sometimes" my english sucks LOL so please forgive my bad english or grammar.

But I have a question, could You do a portrait mode for this app too? Is this possible, hard to do??? I prefer to use phone as portrait mode always, it's easiest to me.
I just ask.

[ROM] Unofficial MoKee p3110/p3113 test

If you mess up your tab its your fault.
UPDATED AND MOVED TO HERE!!!!!!!---------http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334633
Mokee open source project ( yeah its Chinese..... Might wanna Google it so you can translate it.... )
www.mfunz.com/
OK guys, one of the devs over in the atrix2 forum (my phone) not only ported this, but made it official, and its a great ROM, I have some bugs to work out, but I've built this from source and its running good for me, so before I make it a project I'd like a couple testers....
I am running it on philz recovery, and its running cyans kernel, so blackhawk should work....
Bugs:
cyanogen boot animation.... Working on that...
Keyboard: its for Chinese people... Your going to have to get one from the play store or use a root exploring file manager to place the apk in Tue links below in your /system/app/ Folder and change the permissions to rw-r--r--, then reboot.... Working on adding the aosp keyboard to the source...

I'm definitely tempted - but pretty happy with my Carbon setup. Besides I share my Tab with the wife. "You changed everything.. again??!" I can hear it already.
Suggestion :might get more views on the actual 7" forum.

you mean in statusbar? Its the Batterie indicator in circle style (default in CM10.1)
Divide et Empera
after 3 hours of use, two words : GREAT ROM !
everything: Wifi, camera, Halo work fine, it's the smoothest ROM that has Halo till now, it's as smooth as SlimBean and CM10.1, and waaaaaay faster than PAC and PA (in my opinion)
i think you should move it to development section, it really belongs there
5 STARS

it's because this is posted in the General forums, it's not visited by users who want to try ROMs, you should post it in Devs section to see its awesomeness, i really mean it, my 2nd day with this ROM and not even a single problem
great work by MFunz and great port mister

Yeah, I wanted just a few testers before I released it in the dev section, but I guess I underestimated the lack of exposure... Anyhoooo....
I'm building from updated sources as I type, and I'm going to release it in the dev section today... Also... Fixed boot animation and got keyboards straightened out
