Will or does FF OS support carddav and caldav sync out of the box? Those would be two of the most important things for me.
I'm looking for a simple solution for my parents but don't want to use Android, ios or Windows. FF OS may just be it if it supports the syncing of calendars and contacts with my server.

Does the Tab support multiple Exchange accounts using active sync? I am coming off an iphone where I have two different emails addresses on different servers (home/work) and am wondering if I can continue to have an integrated email box view.
Thanks,
John
The internal mail client only supports one, but Touchdown supports multiple but not at same time. You have to change profiles.

So what's up with Outlook syncing in Android 2.2? Why is there no simple notes application on this new version of the OS? Why can't it sync with all Outlook features as it did in version 1.6?
It looks as though I will be forced to use Google docs and use something to sync that with Outlook. I use Outlook notes and tasks for work and really need them back on my phone.
I just needed to type and store a quick note on my phone and discoverd that there was no native application for that. Will there be a solution for this in Gingerbread??

...feel your pain. This has been my biggest challenge too coming from years of (relatively) painless Outlook to phone syncing with WinMo phones...but I am loving this more and more every day!
Basically I ended up "moving to the cloud"...using CompanionSync (worth the $$) to auto sync O2k10 to google.com (includes tasks) and EverNote to sync notes. DropBox for documents and folders. Tasks appear in the google calendar on the due date.
syncdroid.net
This problem (and a full list of potential synchronisation solutions) is well documented over at http://www.syncdroid.net/
Does anyone know is there have been any further developments towards getting all of outlooks features to sync with android??

I use enhanced email. Not sure if it supports tasks and notes, but the developer is very active on his forum for enhancements.
I am trying to connect my entire family to (1) calendar. I would like to be able to have all members of family either use Outlook or their Smart phone and update (1) calendar. Any suggestions of which way would be best.
Thanks
Set up a new goodgle calendar.

I have a separate google calendar for family events. As to the how...each OS is different. Google has instructions for each OS and mail client it supports.
The app calengoo allows you to connect multiple Google calenders. Works great and there's an iphone app too if you have a divided family.

+1 on the Google calendar, couldn't be easier to use, once u share the calendar, and they accept it, it just shows up on the phone.
We moved to Google calendar for our team calendar at work and it is great

Google calendar
Seems to share fine but if I try to sync with Outlook through Google sync it does not work. Only one users shows up in share not all.
I use cozi calendar. Its great. IPhone and Android apps and able to use on PC as well
I have a wifi only XOOM. I have an app for Lotus Notes Traveler installed and it is working fine. I would like to look at integrating all my email accounts including the Notes account such that I only have to use one app for email and one app for calendar.
I'm happy to use the stock Email app or install a new app.
Any suggestions?
Traveler is intended to utilize it's own email and calendar client on the Android platform for a matter of security. The manufacturer believes that is the only way to insure the content remains secure.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
Some how my colleague has his email and calendar integrated on his i-Pad.
Wonder why the difference.
IBM's internal implementation of Traveler on the iOS platform is different than for Android. It does support a VPN and combines the different email and I believe calendar accounts into one app.

Many of our clients ask us to sync their outlook and contacts with their iPad or iphone that is linked to POP email account, but all the data is in Outlook. And its been a nightmare to deal with. Can't use latest iTunes, have to use older iTunes.
With android its so much easier, simpler and it works.
I'm not bashing Apple products, I think they are good in their own way, but could be a heck of alot better.
I keep telling clients to stop using outlook and just store all the contacts and calendars in your email accounts. Yet they want all 2 or 5 pop email accounts linked to Outlook. They tell me its just easier that way to access all emails.
One of our new clients uses 4 different email providers for her home business, and all of them linked to Outlook on her PC. All contacts and calendars are stored on her pc in outlook.
After two hours of banging my head against the wall, I honestly could not sync it with her iPad and crack berry. I did get 709 contacts in to crack berry from outlook, but then client tells that contacts that were added few days ago are not there. /face palm.
Another client is having issues with yahoo email on iPhone 5, because os6.1 is...broken. Keeps throwing errors at me.
Anyways... I needed to vent, its been a long week.
I have been wondering how this works. We are able to sync our contacts and calendars to gmail and import to outlook easily. How do you do that with an apple iPhone?

Well, using a google Accout even on android it won't sync contacts. It still uses your google account (non pop) to sync contacts. At least that's how it works if I delete my google account and only add back a gmail account as a pop email account.
At work we use contacts sync pro and calendar sync both of which I think have been discontinued by google.
We can add contacts in outlook and we sync it to gmail and it shows up in our phone contacts using a yahoo pop bizmail account. Its really nice and easy. I was wondering if this was even possible on apple without using an exchange.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Well, my work uses an exchange server for my iPhone email, so I have my outlook and iPhone sync'd using that. Then I use gSyncIT from Fieldston to sync my outlook to Google so then my Android tablet and personal PC's keep their contacts and calendars in sync.
My wife on the other hand does not have the ability to sync her iPhone to her exchange server, so her outlook is exchange and then uses gSyncIT to sync her outlook to Google. Then added the Google Exchange server on her iPad an iPhone to keep it all in sync.
