Questions regarding my Rom

Well i am making A ROM but while using Cygwin to install init.d scripts etc. Using advanced options by pressing 0 i get an error regarding boot.img....i m using stock boot.img....can anyone help me?
Also i want to install a custom icon pack like hyperion rom has...not the same icon pack but similar so can anyone help me how to do this??
If everything goes well i will release my Rom in 1 week...The Rom's name is LOCA L1

No vpn software work,

First I donot see the right topic for this thread so I decide to post in general topic, my samsung b5512 work good in all type of vpn software, but right from when I install the new custom rom every thing about my device change no wifi and it can't connect to vpn. Software such as droidvpn and hostpot, the one am trying to used now it droidvpn any time I tried to used it, it show me fail to set ip, every other vpn doesn't connect, please so one should help me resolved this issue please.

Make sure you have Tun Ko Installer installed (available on Google Play) before using DroidVPN
Sign up and download latest version of DroidVPN from www.droidvpn.com
Make sure you have selected a free server flag in app (only if you are on free DroidVPN plan)
Make sure that if there is any firewall activated in your phone, all the priviliges are granted to DroidVPN
Make sure that your phone is rooted, has SuperUser or SuperSU installed with updated binaries

Am using the new update of droidvpn and no firewall is activated in my phone, it is rooted and has superuser install,

I got the automatic update of kitkat to my phone and afterwards the infrared app I got ( smart remote ir) doesn't work anymore.. Anyone knows how I can activate again the ir?

Have Google Edition S4 or custom rom on S4? Which custom rom do you use?

No costum ROM the original by Google I didn't change a thing on this phone..

Force app to foreground like SetupWizard of Samsung

Hi
I have a rooted phone and like to start my app on BOOT_COMPLETED in fullscreen mode like the Samsung SetupWizard. I can overwrite the menu and back buttons but not the home button. I'cant also block the status drop down menu.
How does Samsung it, is there some simple technics behind or do I have to reverse engineer their code?

That is done by system APIs.user apps do not have most of those permissions .Samsung setup wizard is only themed original stock setupwizard.both do the same task using same api

But if I have a system app with system permissions? Should it not possible to access the system API by reflections?

Yes system app can use those api's.you can checkout android source for setupwizard.apk for those particular methods
