I tried all of them and none of them worked. I tried everything I possibly could to fix it and nothing worked. So how can I reset my phone but keep all my apps and data? I can flash the from and kernel easy but what about all my data and apps?

This is just a quick question,
I am running 4.2 Jellybean on my Nexus 7, and wanted to flash a custom kernel. That supports 4.1.1/4.1.2 and the kernel hasn't been updated by the OP. So, if I flashed it, would me Nexus work? Would it be fine?
Thanks. -cburk
I think I heard that it will indeed work. I suggest you just try it, but first, make a nandroid!!!

Yea, have u flashed any of those audio modes? Uhmm like beats audio,SRS,Dolby..:....those mods can temper with Ur roms audio. It happened to me sometime. So if u have flashed such mods, u can do a dirty flash so that it replaces or overwrite the "corrupted" files.

Yeah, and once I installed Awesome's Beats audio. Then Installed DSP Manager too lol. I thought I would have more bass lol. Naa, my sound just stopped working entirely
The rom was fine for about 2-3 months and it suddenly stopped working. Nothing was installed.
Should I still try a different rom? Or do you have another idea?
Alright. U can try vipertouch Rom. It doesn't have any audio problems.

I'm currently using this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2204963
the rom and the sound worked just fine since I installed it.
should I try to flash another rom?
If this Rom is working and has solved your problem, then u can continue to use it. .

A week ago the external speaker just stopped working.
I tried to flash the same rom and it still doesn't work.
Should I try to flash a different rom or maybe it's an hardware problem?
Ooh okay my bad. I miss understood u. Try flashing vipertouch. It doesn't have any audio problems. But after flashing dat Rom and u still have problems , then I guess its a hardware issue.

So... not sure what's going on. But flashing another kenel on my S4 running BeanStalk, kills all cell service and the it can't read the sim card. All APN's are gone. Can't add them either.
What?
Anyone know what I goofed?
As always, I did a full wipe and such. Any ideas?
Wow. You didn't share the phone you are on. The rom you are running. The kernel you installed. Nobody can help tit without some basic information

Only thing I did forget was the version. 4.3.
Happens with any kernel. Chronic or ktoonsez

Well bean stock is an AOS P rom , and I did make sure I install the right kernel, it still results in the same problem

Sometimes it takes a few minutes to pick up data. It takes me between 5 to 8 minutes after first boot from a fresh flash. Let it sit for 10 minutes and see what happens.

Did u ask this in the thread to confirm this is not a ROM bug? If it isn't, have u tried to flash stock 4.3? If the problem persist it is a hardware problem...
Hi everyone. Dunno if anyone else has the same problem, but i took a quick look and didn't find anything so I'll just go on. I have a nexus 4 running rasbean jelly 4.2.2. Rom with Matr1x kernel and for some time now i have a problem, mainly after rebooting my phone. Most applications that track progress like games and their saves , chrome and its tabs, etc start like it's the first time running them. Any idea what might be going wrong? Thanks in advance.

uninstall it. dirty flash your build of rasbean(and gapps) without wiping anything. i think this will take care of your issue.
Isn't dirty flash dangerous?
I thought maybe upgrade into 4.3 but not sure if worth the trouble.

dirty flashing isnt dangerous. its the only way i flash(just make a nandroid backup just in case)! i even dirty flashed rasbean 4.3 over rasbean 4.2.2 when rasbean 4.3 just hit. but yea, it might be time to upgrade to 4.3 too
when updating the same rom, dirty flash. when trying a new different rom, then wipe data.
Ok i think I'll try this and hopefully problem will be solved too. Thanks for help mate.
