If you're interested in what your Note looks in the inside, here is a blog entry I found on gsmarena:
http://blog.gsmarena.com/samsung-tears-the-galaxy-note-to-pieces-saves-ifixit-the-effort/#more-26181
The teardown shows that the note has NFC hardware built into it...it just requires the proper software and drivers to enable it.

Last time I looked, the US version didn't have a physical home key!

Yes it's the AT&T version with LTE, NFC and the 1.5GHz Qualcomm CPU.

It also says:
Internal Memory – 6/3GB of memory for storing lots of data including videos, music, etc.

which is pretty meaningless! 16/32gb perhaps, but this and the obvious home button does make me question whether this is the AT&T version at all - more likely it is the LTE version available in Korea!

DAve
The picture and their statement in the blog is 2 different things..they are showing interntnal device, but taking about us note?????

The article in itself is quite contradictory coz it talks about the international note and shows some other version.. here you can read d lines—
'Samsung has provided detailed descriptions of all the important Galaxy Note functional elements. You should keep in mind that what we have here is the US version of the Note, featuring a Qualcomm chipset and LTE, instead of Exynos and HSPA+.'
The above lines means that the device should be the international Note.

Terrible reporting on gsmarena...
Check out the original article guys, it's much clearer:
http://global.samsungtomorrow.com/?p=10571#disqus_thread
Edit: Okay not that much better... I'm still not clear as to whether that's the American model or International one or the original images for the international one with the american specs added.... :s

Got a hold of the Galaxy SIII Amber Brown, so far compared to the AT&T version, the international version with the Quad-Core is much smoother. Really liking the Amber Brown SIII.

How and where did you get it? I've been looking for the Brown or Grey, but I was told that it was only available on the I9305 model. Did you get a I9300 Brown? Can you post some real life pics?
Can u guyz tell me how much score in quadrant app do u get? Which one is better device i9300 or i9350 ? Or both are same in perfomance?

Well if someone gave you a choice to have the i9305 or the i9300 both for free. I can bet you would take the one that has 4g&3g + 2gb ram... Instead of 3g & 1gb of ram.
I9305 I feel is more fluid I get less stutters and it feels more like butter then when I had the i9300 with jb polish.
That's your answer. Enough said

Yes it is the GT-I9300 Amber Brown. This is the unlocked International version. I will post some pictures later tonight. I'm on the road now. You can order at negrielectronics. I believe they also have the grey one, can't remember.

The GT-I9300 scored higher in Quadrant compared to the US AT&T version I have. I really don't go by benchmarks that much, but the I9300 runs buttery smooth compared to the AT&T SIII. Really like that I don't get any lag at all.

That depends on if you prefer faster data downloads, , then the LTE version would be better for you. If you want some better speed the I9300 will be faster.
So far both phones are great, but for me, I am liking the I9300 better.

The I9305 would be better as you would get the faster data, which I get on the AT&T SIII, but the data speed on the I9300 is doing prettyngood on AT&T network, but I am going to look into changing the APN on the I9300 and see if I can get better download speeds.
Sent from my GT-N8000 using xda premium
I am deciding between the i9300 and the i9305 but I am leaning towards the i9300. This is mainly because of the large dev support community. Currently, there are only two custom ROMs available and will certainly lag behind in terms of dev support. What's more important, 1GB or an endless selection of ROMs, firmware, apps, tweaks and user support?
There's an Aussie variant with 2gb ram and quad core

Samsung's new color lineups
I really like how Samsung has its own unique hairline designed colors.
I hope the colors arrive to Galaxy Note II and other future devices too.

That would be nice to see on the Galaxy Note II. My guess will be that we should see some other few colors from Samsung for the Note II. Maybe end of December or January.

So as you know good 'ole Samsung released lots of different versions of our phone.
So here you will find more info about each model
If you go to Settings> About Phone you can find model version (eg. I8190(letter here)
You can see list below for more info:
No letter- 8GB international model
N - 8GB NFC international model
L - Model for Latin America
T- 16GB NFC international model
I - 16GB international model (unconfirmed)
Thanks for the List, lots of people asking what's the difference between the various models of GT_i8190. Didn't know there was a I model.
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda premium
yes but wher is 16 GB in stor i dont find it have only 8 GB
So there is no hardware difference
#except the storage#. ..mmm, then why each one have different roms?

I think the Nand memory is the same in both models 8GB and 16GB. I've heard Samsung uses some sort of a workaround to lock 16GB models to 8GB, and that it's simply software based. I've also heard that people successfully unlocked their Galaxy S3 from 16GB to 32GB right here on xda.

I have I8190N 8GB bought in Poland, and it has I8190NXXAMB2 firmware. Can anyone confirm if it is the latest stock firmware for NOW?
And can I root it somehow? (I don't want to experiment, and the one with root in thread near hear is ALL6, which I don't know if it is newest one?)
I am really kind a frustrated because we don't have our own forum for our device... Does somebody work on it? or at least we have a topic?

I'm more frustrated that you actually bought one.
Well in our country a s2 (original one) cost 1400-1500 RON (340 eur) while the s2 plus cost 1200 RON (270 eur) and whit our f*****g romanian salaries you can only afford a Plus one...

Well for 70 euros less it's not actually a bad deal. Only bummer is you'll get 8 GB of internal storage...but the biggest issue will be the lack of development.
I think the biggest issue on this device is the broadcom gpu... its horrible, there arent any hd games optimised for it. I dont care about the lack of the gorilla glass, and a 8 gb micro sd card is 8 euro, the other things are kindly the same as on the original one.
