Annoying Delivery SMS

Hello
is there a possibility that all this works a bit more nicer?
no extra sms?
maybe just a different color or symbol behind the sms?
+1
it has been discussed but there hasn't been any solution so far. I'm used to recieving a delivery report as some sort of push-sms that you open and then it disappears and isn't saved in the sms conversation, but you can access it via the properties of the sms you sent.
Do you mean a message sent notification? If so, this isn't possible because of HTC Messaging crapware.... if you disable it and go back to the original WM messaging app, you can then use Advanced Config 3.3 to turn on sms sent notifications after....

Can somebody help me with BetterCut shortcut?

Hello,
I've got a weird problem I'm trying to solve with bettercut. I think it should be relatively easy, but I'm stumped and was wondering if somebody could help me out.
I use an HTC Legend and I like SenseUI too much to change to another launcher. I use an App called SMS Popup to notify me of new messages, but this app - combined with SenseUI - creates a bug with the default Messages shortcut.
Basically, when I mark a message as Read with the SMS Popup, the default Messages shortcut keeps the notification badge telling me I have unread messages. Which is annoying, because to fix this I have to go into the messaging app, scroll to the message I've already read in order to convince SenseUI I've read it.
So basically, what I'm trying to do with BetterCut is launch the SMS app without the system treating it as a Shortcut that needs a notification badge. I read all of my SMSs immediately mostly so I never need it to tell me how many I need to read.
So far, I have the intent as:
android.intent.action.RUN
and the data as:
com.android.MMS
However, when I select this shortcut, it says the app isn't installed.
So could somebody help me either:
1. Make a shortcut with BetterCut to the default Messaging app which won't show notification badges
or
2. Turn off notification badges entirely, because I don't use them for email either and they kinda piss me off.
Thanks!
PS. I've searched forums and google extensively for this, so I wouldn't be asking if I hadn't already tried
Cheers
EDIT: Ah, this was supposed to go in Android General. Sorry.
you can also opt for an other sms program at all
for ex http://www.appbrain.com/app/handcent-sms/com.handcent.nextsms
this is an sms manager with an popup function in one

SMS problem

Ok i have this weird problem.
It keeps showing me that i have next texts, when i really don't. I think it has something to do with the text secure app.
Like, it says i have a new message up on the status bar. So i pull it down and press where it says new message (it doesn't identify who it was from either, which is odd). It takes me to my text secure inbox, where there is no new messages. There is also no new messages in my regular inbox (which i don't use anymore).
And i can't get rid of the notification on the top that says i have a new message unless i clear notifications.
It doesn't really effect too much on the phone, but something is messed up and its quite annoying.
maybe gchat or other messaging services?

[Q] SMS count notification - how to get rid of it?

Hi there. I have same problem as here Get rid of SMS notification on top status bar on my Mini.
In HTC Sense homesreec, above SMS tab, is still unread SMS count. Im reading SMS messages in that tab, but I have to open it in messaging app to clear notification. Sometimes I have to open all of them since I dont know which one is unread. Can I disable that notification somehow or set it to mark as read when I read it in Sense Home Screen?
There is a timeout on the SMS tab.
If you have received an SMS and switch to the SMS tab, the counter is only changed when the SMS is shown long enough. If you read quickly and swipe to the next SMS, the timeout is not reached, and the counter not changed.
To quickly show which SMS are not read yet, go to "All messages". You will see an overview of your contacts and the unread messages from these contacts.
Thank you very much, really. You're right, I never reached that timeout before, I'm reading too fast. I'll wait for it now, it's working

[Q] N73G SMS on KitKat?

I just upgraded my Nexus 7 3G (2012) to 4.4. It used to be on 4.3 that, despite not coming with a proper SMS client, I could install one third-party and send/receive.
Here is what happens now. I can install 8sms and it will tell me it is not my SMS app. However when I tap "SMS Disabled" in Settings, nothing happens. There does not appear to be an SMS system setting on this stock ROM. So I can't seem to get it out of "Sending disabled" mode.
When I text from my phone to my tablet, I get a messaging notification in my tray from Android itself, but tapping it opens up just a toast notification. The message does not actually seem to get recorded anywhere. In 8sms it just appears as (No subject).
Any thoughts on whether this may be surmountable?
I can't answer you but I have a question: where can I find incoming messages? I'm on prepaid and there are incoming messages from the carrier but I can't read them.

Click to collapse
They come into the notification tray for me when they arrive, but after reading them they are not stored anywhere. The information just vanishes.
