I'm unsure what rom or tweak I can use, I really like multi window, air view, and the watchon app is pretty sweet as well. I was wondering if I can just download the apks and install them on a non TW rom.. I'm currently running SlimBean.
All I really want is my flashlight and hotspot in the notification bar with the other toggles without having to use an app like power toggles and taking up notification space.
Another thing I used often on my other phone is the volume keys to skip songs.

mate you got 2 choices either go with TW Rom or AOSP
none of samsung apps or features would work on it for either missing drivers etc... or touchwiz framework
anyway why not just theme touchwiz the way you want instead its the only way to have samsung feautures+Aosp look together
I don't much care about the theming, just that I have those two buttons on a touchwiz rom really

If your on MDL touchwiz build you can use xposed framework to set up volume skip mod ad well as setting up torch to run off long pressing the brightness icon beside the brightness bar in the notification center

I tried xposed, I'd rather have a button for it, does 3minit allow adding more buttons?

Ok, I give up. I have Googled for 3 days and read that **** manual cover to cover.
How in the world do you edit the Touchwiz settings? I remember the first day I went to the settings and changed the Show Windows from 5 to 7.
I for the LIFE of me cannot remember how in the WORLD I did that...
So, please, please do not flame me...first Samsung phone and clueless...
Thanks
For some reason, I thought it was under the MENU, then on some i have seen EDIT , but its not there...grrr....

Hi I don't think you can change touchwiz setting short of rooting your phone and editing a few text files. The Epic comes with 7 homescreens and can't be changed from it unless a new launcher is installed. You can however disable the touchwiz launcher if you want the vanilla android look and you can also install an aditional launcher such as launcher pro, which is what I did. Installing a new launcher means you cannot use the touchwiz widgets such as the friend update widget or the taskmanager widget or any of the touchwiz clocks. However the comm manager in the notifications bar is still there as well as the task manager button on long home press.
See read here:

So that option is not available on our phones? Or is this a "modded" Touchwiz...
We have a gimp version of touchwiz until Froyo comes. Many of us use Launcher Pro or ADW because Touchwiz mostly sucks and the widgets do the same.
Hello all, I recently installed floating browser from Google play, and I found when it's open even the tw launcher home screen and apps menu rotate, check out the screenshot below:

Of you want rotating touchwiz, just install this app and set it in forced auto:

It does. Thats interesting, just tried it

Thanks for the info, that's a nice feature! What are your overall thought on the app? Is it worth it and truly user friendly/stable? I've been watching this app with a lot of interest and think it may be time to shell out for it.

very smooth and fluid, better than the go launcher. Very good find.
Thnx a lot
I have a samsung car dock, and two things happen when I plug it in: SVoice pops up (on Kingdroid) and TW goes landscape after some applications (messing up with lock pattern not being visible).

I can fully recommend this app. It can lock the screen in the position you like. And it comes with a nice feature to preselect the rotation for certain apps. For example auto rotate for the camera.

Jus got my Nexus 4. So far I love it.
Coming from an S3 and a Note 2, I am very impressed. I would love to be able to add toggles to the drop down quick launcher. Can this be done without rooting and messing with Roms?
Thanks in advance.

need root or/and ROM that supports custom QS tile.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
You need root access and a custom that supports that feature.

If you want to change tiles in your quick settings then you need root and a custom rom.. If you are talking about toggles in your notification bar then no you dont need rood, just an app.
^ Which app will rpovide toggles in notification area?
You dont need custom ROM, install Power Toggles https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc
Tapalked with a Nexus⁴

That's not for the drop down menu. To have customizable toggles in the notification shade he'll need root and a custom ROM.

It seems to work in the notification shade as well.
I'm contemplating flashing a ROM, but I was wondering, do they still have the lg features, like knockon and the quick remote?

I got the latest CM11 Nightly and knock-on works, knock-off doesn't. This can be fixed with nova launcher and screen off and lock though.
The IR remote isn't included in the nightlies but it can be downloaded as a flashable .zip file, I haven't got around installing it yet though.
Where did you find quick remote?

I'm using Paranoid Android and Quick remote works fine.
As for knock off that doesnt work, Knock on does. I worked around and got my own kind of Knock off.
What I did was I installed Desktop VisualiZer, Screen off and Lock, and a transparent image.
Add a Desktop VisualiZer widget where ever you'd like, Select the Transparent image as the icon, select the Screen off app (not the Screen Off and Lock config app) as the 'Action', and last remove the name for the widget. and you're done!
Here is where I have my 'Knock off' shortcut. I just double tap (or one tap) and the screen will turn off

So happy they didn't change too much. Meaning we can prob use most of our themes on lollipop. I really like this os but with lollipops art, battery optimizations and speed and fluidity, with animations... This should be a beast

The only thing that WOULD suck is if xposed doesn't get released by then.. I really like how minimal my os looks due to the tweaks box. (Theme abilities on home screen and such)

Hi
If you just try the L navbar for a wile you dont want any thing else.
I realy like the estetic feel with the simple shapes. Try it out ?
I think the dev of XPosed kinda said he has no time to work on the project for Lollipop and either way it would be a "monstrous" task to make it work - but maybe something changed.
