Hi everybody!
Is there any solution to select example phots or music files? I tried many times send mms or share my photos to dropbox. Selecting only one file is very cumbersome.
What is your opinion about this issue?
This is a known missing feature in WP7...

In my oppinion this is not "missing feature" but "bug"
I think Microsoft should repaired this long time ago (like a many bugs in their soft).
And now we have to wait until end of year for next update with necessary features.
Hi,
I have a completely stock Atrix on GB (no root, no unlock).
When I use the Webtop to play videos, it automatically opens in mobile mode where it used to default to opening in the Entertainment Center under Froyo.
If I open the Entertainment Center manually, I can use it to play videos, but I can't launch videos from the File Manager into the Entertainment Center.
Is this how everyone else's acts, or is there something wrong with mine? I have done a factory reset on it, but it still does this.
Sounds about right. I don't watch too many videos on my webtop, but that's how mine worked. I think if you right click on the file you can pick which program to play it in.

If I right click, I get the option to "Open with Mobile View" or "open with other program".
Entertainment Center doesn't appear in the "other programs" list. I'm pretty sure I used to be able to pick it.
Can anyone verify if their Gingerbread phone still has the option? If I don't hear back, on Wednesday, I'll go check this at an AT&T store.
It's annoying because I used to be able to watch movies with the Entertainment center on flights with the Lapdock. Now I have to go full-screen with mobile view, and it doesn't look as good.
Maybe someone knows how to fix it?
Thanks

I just checked mine and its the same as you described. I could have sworn it use to have hd entertainment center in that list. Maybe it got changed in the update to GB. You may have to take it to the Moto forums to get an answer on this one.

Hi! I've got Windows 8 Pro via one of the hospitals here in Norway, and it almost works like a charm ... Some of my important tiles like the Desktop-tile and Windows Store-tile is gone. Even the Metro PC Settings is gone. When I try to open it via the Charms Bar, nothing happens. I've had a look in the Start-Menu folder under Programs, and the shortcuts are there. So I tried to find the Shortcuts in the Windows Folder, which I succeded with, but I can't copy them in there. I get a message who says that The Operation can't be done, because the file I was trying to replace is in use by another application. I've also tried to open the Shortcuts from the original folder, without success, except the PC Settings shortcut, which only opens the normal Control Panel. So it's kinda frustrating. I've made myself a shortcut to the desktop which I placed on the Metro Page, but I really want the store and settings to work. So, does anybody know how to replace those .lnk file, or have another fix that' not resetting/refreshing Windows (that would be my very last option, as I lose my settings)
Hope someone can give me some help

I'm assuming it's a work computer. If so, it's based on how the computer was set up by your IT department. I would contact whatever people within your organization are in charge, but they have probably set the computer up that way on purpose.
Actually, no, it isn't a work computer. I know a guy at the hospital who work with IT, and I knew he had earlier tried the previews, so when I was at RTM, I asked him which version he had, and then, he sendt the .iso file for both 32 & 64bit versions... So it is my private computer...

That's pretty strange then. Is this a fresh install, or have you been using it for a bit?
This may be a simple answer but its worth asking in case you didn't think of it. Have you just unpinned them from the start menu? ie if you can launch the start screen can you type desktop or store and they come up? If so you can right click and pin to desktop.
I upgraded from Win7, but I've only kept data. I've refreshed it one time. I've not unpinned the tiles, and they won't come up as an search result when I search for them

to be clear, when you searched for them you just tapped the win key to bring up the tiles then typed desktop?
you don't need to click or do anything other than win key and type
Yup! The only thing that comes up is my self-made shortcut for showing the desktop. Very strange, I think...
As i wrote metro apps doesn't recognize my A4Tech webcam
None of them not work.Skype and Default Camera apps
I searched much on google,But not found solution
Can anyone help ?
Anyone ?
Check in devices Open Explorer, paste this to address bar):
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers
If it's there but shown as not working, download driver from manufacturer and install it.
If it's not there, make sure the webcam works at all, and then make sure you've got the driver.
If it's there and works in desktop apps, then make sure you didn't do something silly like tell Metro apps they aren't allowed to use it. In a Metro app, hit Win+i (or otherwise bring up the Settings charm), select Permissions, and make sure the app is allowed to use "Webcam and microphone".
Camera is working for desktop apps, only problem it's not working with metro apps like skype
BTW i can't find where to select permissions ?

There is no need for smartass replies like that.
The quick command keys are not blatantly obvious. They weren't in any manual I got, only found out about them via forums

Do you, by any means, have an ATI Radeon graphics card, and have the Catalyst Beta Drivers for Windows 8 installed?
The point is that I quoted directly from my previous post... if you waste people's time asking them to repeat themselves in a freaking *written forum* they will extract some amusement out of the situation, probably at your expense.

Windows 8 is Build 9200, heck Windows 7 was build 7600, or 7601 for Service Pack 1.
If it really says 7500 then I suspect you got sold a fake copy of Windows that won't ever activate right.
If it is legit and you just wrote in the wrong number why didn't you keep the key? Without it there's really nothing that can be done.

If your copy is legitimate, you can get the activation code from microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/esd-support-phone-numbers
or http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2431699
If your copy isn't official then you shouldn't be asking about it on xda because it would be considered warez.
