Does anyone know how to activate the keypad (e.g. the four buttons on the bottom of the HD) during the screen is off.
If the screen is off:
They only work during a call is active.
Otherwise they do not work.
Any idea how to change this?
you'll find the answer if you post in the right forum, that is the Q&A Forum - Ather
Thanks

Actually my question is more dev related.
Since I would like to know how to let the keypad working while my app
turns the screen off.
I'd like to get haptic feedback everytime I touch the screen, i'm sure i read about an app that does this but have searched and cant find it now!
Anyone know what it was or a way to enable this function?
Thanks!

Dear all,
I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question here, but in the developer forum I don't have access since I am newbee.
I am a software developer and I am interested to develop for Android and especially the new 'Air Gestures' features of Galaxy S4.
But I don't know where to start. Can I detect events of gesture sensor and proximity sensor? If yes how?
What gestures I can detect?
Thanks for any hint!
Still need help
Hi,
is still need help on this topic, any hint is highly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hey guys,
as it says.
I've found that multitasking doesn't work with gesture navigation...unless I have gesture hints enabled.
Anyone else come across this? Or am I doing something wrong?
Edit: slide multitasking using the home button/swipe

Works fine without hints. You can try reset settings by searching for it in settings, then wipe cache in recovery.
Ah sorry bud, I should have said "slide multitasking" using the home button.
Thank you for replying though.
What are you talking about ?
Download Good Lock from the Galaxy Store then open it and download task changer. Might be a good substitute.

You are correct that this does not work. Without gesture hints or buttons there is no way to slide your finger across the bottom to advance the app cards. I reported it to Samsung but they classified it as an enhancement, as though they intended to design it in this broken and inconsistent way. Anyway, entire implementation of gestures on this phone is way behind iPhone X and OnePlus.
