Did you try Purumod Darkbreeze? I didnt... But its supposed to be really fast... Has a nice theme too!
I suggest Kyrillos' ROM v9.4 (OC). I'm using it myself too. It is lagfree(fast), has (almost) no FC's.
Please let me know which ROM he chose, and tell me his experience with it, if you want to?
i would flash kyorarom. very stable and fast
I think, this is as far as this thread is going!!
Hi all, my mom will be getting a new Droid 2 soon that she'll be using on a page plus prepaid plan and I just have a few questions. I know that there is a lot of information here of the forums but things change so often with development that I think I'll get a better answer if I just ask you experinced guys directly.
I'm just looking for the most stable ROM for her, and the best battery life. It doesn't have to be the newest and greatest, it just has to work when she needs it so that she doesn't get irritated with it.
Thanks in advance.
Just stick with stock if she's inexperienced.

Will stock run smooth enough with out any freezing?
It came today and it had 2.2, I think i'll update it to 2.3 though.
It works for the 95% of the users who don't get pissed off enough to come here and change it
.sbf to the second-to latest firmware. If you OTA, you'll end up with the latest, un-rootable update, making any future development impossible.

On your question about most stable Roms, Galnet MIUI 2.2.10 was the best I've used as far as being issueless. Just behind that would be CM9.
If you do decide to flash MIUI you'll probably want to install a different launcher for her as well if she's used to Android and not looking for a change. Otherwise just let her run with it and see how she likes it.

Dont believe any of our roms do have app2sd yet. Its not an option at all. The new intl. Update allows it but its not avail for our phones yet

I have fat fingers excuse me please...(didn't mean to hit thank button 2x) sometimes its just best to back up your current ROM and just flash the ROM your curious about and check it out yourself. You may even love the ROM whether that app works for you or not.

I'm new to android. Just got a S4 l337 few weeks ago. I've my phone rooted, CWM loki'd. I'm now not sure which ROM I should be installing. I want clean, smooth and stable ROM. Pls suggest me one. I'm using T-mobile BTW. Thanks a lot
Touchwiz roms are located in the Android Development section and aosp roms can be found in the original development section. Read upand try out a few (assuming you've already made a backup).
These "which rom is best?" threads are usually shut down quickly. It's best to just form your own opinion on which rom works best for you.
Cheers

Thanks.. I've already taken a backup.. I could see a lot of touchwiz and AOSP roms.. I've been reading the features in them for the past two weeks. but couldn't decide which one to actually install

No one can answer that for you. You'd have to try out both to see how they fit to your liking.
Carbon or LiquidSmooth all the way!

Friend it solely depends upon you try the Chameleon Rom if you happy continue or revert back to PA. I haven't tried Chameleon would like to test it but for this I wont create a thread asking people "Should I try this rom ?? Should I change to this Rom ? etc"..
Try it and take your call. :good:
I tried chameleon ROM and did not like it. Its different, but I did not like it
