Help! My Keyboard is gone! - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So this morning i was on Zedge browsing some wallpapers and when i went up to the search bar trying to find and search something up my keyboard pops up then goes back down with an error message saying, "Unfortunately, the android keyboard has stopped working" (Im pretty sure that is what it said. I may be wrong, the message gets removed too fast) anyone know a solution to this problem?

I am at wits end....

Typically i don't ask for help but this time i'm going to throw it out there.
Every time i receive a SMS message my phone reads it out loud. Like "text message from 134-123-7654, _____________" no alert no nothing just reads it out loud.
I do not have "talk back", or "sound back" installed on my phone. And i've fixed permission and verified all of the settings under the SMS app and "voice input/output" in the main menu....
any other ideas.

1) What SMS app are you using?
2) Don't tell your friends about this problem or you are certain to get 100 ill timed text messages that say things like "I love gay porn!" and "Man, it sure is roomy in these pants!"
Off hand my first guess is to completely uninstall the SMS app, make sure all the directories that save settings are deleted too, and reinstall. That's the first thing I'd do. If that doesn't work....I dunno....call a priest for an exorcism?

nope. The only thing i can think of is i installed that new cluzee app, the Siri knockoff.
Edit :
I think i may of found the problem. There is a "cluzee reader" setting that is on by default. I turned it off, i'll see what happens.
Doing a fresh ROM install or even reverting back to a working save are guaranteed fixes. I figured you'd rather not have to reset everything though.
I'd bet the cluzee setting you found fixes it though.
agg! this started happening to me yesterday... i did recently install cluzee and llama, but last i looked the "reader" was set to "off" in cluzee.... and none of my "accessability" things are trned on..... i see that unsder <settings><voice input and output> under output that pico TTS is installed but "always use my settings" box is unchecked.... really annoying at work when i get a text.... thank goodness it wasnt a personal message or what not... aside from reloading everything - is there any other settign i should check. im useing the factory "messaging" app on my MTS4G...

Can't search in gmail? VIDEO

Hi guys!
I hope someone can help me pinpoint this issue. It is going to force me to return my shiny new TPT if I can't find a fix soon.
Every time I try to search gmail, the TPT starts looping through a weird refressh with a green flicker and sometimes kicks me back to the inbox.
I don't get it!
I've updated to the latest firmware and am currently running .0086.US
Has anyone gotten this to work right? Is it just a bad tablet?
I've recorded the behavior for your enjoyment so you can see what I'm talking about.
Thanks in advance y'all!

Download icon that dissapears and pauses

Hi all, I'm a new nexus 4 owner and in these 2/3 days I'm having a strange issue: when I'm downloading something from the browser, the download icon on the status bar disapears (even tho the download is still going, since I receive the messege "download complete" after some time).
There's also another problem, which really bugs me! When I download an app from the play store, at the beginning I can see the download icon on the status bar, but after a while it disapears! I go to my apps in the play store and I can see that the download is going, but after a while it pauses and I have to wait a lot of time before It resumes!
I tryied changing baseband (.27, .48, .54, .84, hybrid 33-54), but the problem is still there. I've also tryied various roms: psx, rasbeanjelly, pa. Can somebody help me please? This things don't let me enjoy my brand new nexus 4
Ok, I tryied using a 4.2.2 rom and the problem seem solved! Android 4.3 has something to do with it! Isn't there a fix or something? I really want to use a 4.3 rom

Actually I noticed this problem today morning.. didnt give me a lot of headache.. in the end it downloads properly.. so i dont think you should give up on 4.3 just because of that.. but yeah a fix would be nice..

This is definately not n4 specific; it has been driving me insane on my Galaxy Player running cm10.2+ as well as my nexus 5 running stock 4.4.2. Up until now I thought it was just my router (I don't have a data plan on the n5). Very annoying.
A simple workaround for this which I do is from browser start another download, size no matter, any small image will do too. Just as the download starts, both the download will show and resume

Deleted bloatware with Titanium Backup

Hey.
First post here!!! But sadly I'm admitting to being a noob...
I recently rooted my galaxy s4 i337 and I heard about deleting bloatware so I was like, "hey that sounds cool!"
Sadly I did not realize the effects that deleting those files could cause to the device... I have factory reset my phone at least 5 times hopping that the deleted files would come back.... but they did not.
My problems are that whenever I pull up s-voice, I comes up with a message saying, "Unfortunately, S-voice has stopped working". I tried re-installing it with files I found from this site but then it started saying that I could not connect to the network so that was a dead end. I also have messages when I do various tasks says, "Unfortunately, Samsung text-to-voice engine has stopped."
I really need help!!! I change my main language text to voice thing to google instead of samsung and that helped a little, but I still get the occasional message and s voice is completely broken. I saw that re installing chat on could help and i downloaded it because I think I may have deleted it, but it made absolutely 0 difference...
Please help!!! Thanks

I'm going to assume your on the MF3 firmware from AT&T. Unfortunately it's not going to come back at all right now. When and if they release something other than a root tool for the MF3, your not going to be able to do anything else with your device as of right now. You can try to take it a Samsung Experience Shop at a Best Buy and see if they will recovery your phone. They indeed do have the capability and has been confirmed here on XDA that they can do it. My suggestion is to sweet talk them.
I had a similar 'voice' error at some point in time when I was toying with freezing some Samsung functionalities. It was several months ago to remember exactly what I did to resolve it but maybe this will help. Go to Settings - My Device tab, scroll down to Language and input, select it, then scroll down to the Speech section. Click on Voice recognizer and make sure it's set to Google. In the Text-to-speect options, click on it and make sure that is also listing Google.
I can't guarantee it''s the fix for your issue but hopefully it will help you troubleshoot.

Experienced the same issue, heres how I resolved it.
While changing the TTS to Google helps, it's still impossible to use S Voice with audio response and the error messages will still pop.
One option, would be flash the stock ROM: but this would be killing a fly with a shotgun. Second option, get Titanium Backup Pro, then go to the app "Samsung text-to-speech engine" click and hold on it and select "Convert to user app"; then wait for the app to be converted to a user app.
Restart your phone; and go reset the TTS to Samsung engine and voila you've got a happy droid.
PS. after selecting the Samsung engine it'll prompt you to download the high quality TTS voices (Eng(UK) is around 110mb).
I would suggest you freeze next time and not delete. I'm a noob too. I think I read that deleting them frees up no more space because of the odexing as well.

Wise words right there. Freeze let's you experience deletion but keep a fallback. And if you dirty flash rom updates, you get to keep the stuff frozen that would have been replaced.
Freezing is the way to go but maybe delete if you're staying with the rom for the long term and see no ill effects after long term freezing...
.
if problem still persists. try safestrap and install mdob rom. pretty much stock tw without the crap from att or samsung. use that until stock is flashable. you not even want to go back its very battery efficient.

"Unfortunately, Remote controls has stopped"

Ever since i got on the 4.4 bootloader, every rom gives me this message pretty much every 5 minutes i am on the phone:
"Unfortunately remote controls has stopped". What does this even mean? Google or XDA search doesn't seem to bring up anything useful.
Any suggestions? The reason I posted this here is because it doesn't seem to me like a rom specific issue. This happens on both touchwiz and aosp roms Ive tried.
Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have the same trouble.. "Remote controls has stopped working" window being a pain in my *ss I have to close the windows at light speed around 200 times before get to the right window inside apps manager/all/remote controls and then clear cache data, force stop and then appears again after a while with no apparent reason. What I can tell this REMOTE CONTROLS looks like a part of a security function of samsung crapware.
I have a galaxy s5 SM-900H and now I'm tempted to smash it against the wall. please help.
This issue remains unresolved?
I have the same issue on my Galaxy note 3.. how do we ask for help, it is so annoying
