Anyone interested in porting Ubuntu touch to the GS4?

id give it a shot as well.
Same here. I would at least check it out. I use Ubuntu ringtail for my primary desktop, and I haven't had any experience with Ubuntu touch yet. I would probably nandroid back to my normal rom after messing with it though.
I would like to test this

Any News on Ubuntu Touch for i337 ? In my understanding it can be installed on Google Edition and only problem we have with i337 is locked bootloader ?
it's not listed at all on ubuntu wiki.
i'd like to try it as well if it pops up

Yes, please port. The kindle needs more roms. If you are in need of help or a tester let me know I'd be glad to help could you post a link to the rasbean I wanna see what this is. And if it's ok, to make a PERSONAL port for me and if I succeed and you have problems I could give you a hand. Cheers

Ooh hopefully there's a 4.1.2 release... This is 4.2.1--KFire Kernel isn't updated enough for that. I tried and I got the Netd 1.0 starting boot loop

Thai is what it will be. Hash code gave me permission to use his aosp ROM as a base, so it will be a hybrid between his and rascarlos basically

It is aosp based, with a blue and black theme.

Tell us how it goes when you're done I only got a partial build to boot, then I stopped for a bit
Porting may be easier with the release of hashcode's aosp 4.2.1_r1

Razr M these days has been lacking in terms of development and roms so I would love it if someone had the guts to port PA to the M. I'm sure the community as a whole would appreciate it and we will donate 4sho.

Go for it.
Recent PACman builds require ParanoidPrefernces.apk moved to /system/app/ in order for it to show up in the settings. You can grab it from any other PA ROM.

Any should do. The application makes adjustments based on the DPI in your build.prop.

Thank you ANTP121 for even an attempt at porting the rom. My hats off to you and to the community, please donate with me once the build is out because I'm sick of just leeching off these devs with by giving nothing in return. Im sure even $1 dollar goes a long a way. Thanks, and Im availible as a tester

Hi! Main reason for me to upgrade my trusty old Htc desire (running CM jelly) was to run Ubuntu Touch OS on this great piece of hardware.

Any news yet? I think that since Ubuntu Touch builds upon CM as interface for hardware, there should be good possibilities due to the S4 google edition coming soon.

Ubuntu TOuch GT-I9505
hi, I would love to be a tester, if anyone has managed to port the rom to the galaxy S4 I9505. I have played with it *(alpha) on the S3, and it's amazing in terms of design. Just hope someone will port it soon ^^.
Would be great
Yeah i'd love to test it too,, i've been running my S4 I9505 on early CyanogenMod since the day I got it but i'd totally love to have Ubuntu on it,, (I use ubuntu on my desktop and laptop, too)
but I guess around the time there's a official CM10.1 Stable build out, there will be someone who made a port of ubuntu touch
Yet another +1...
Could be a great alternative to TW / CM... Dev' needed
Did anyone tried to fetch the code and "merge" / port some job from AOSP to it, early "alpha" unofficial builds?
I'm in for testing too this sounds great and I'm willing to help in development

Trust me your not the only one, given our handsets exceed the minimum requirements it just requires a dev or two to jump onboard aswell. I know sod all about "porting" do I can dream. Hopefully given time well have a port. Or even a official. (dreaming right?) Finger's crossed :beer:
