{Question} Nexus 7 subfolders - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When browsing around my root explorer I noticed I have 9 subfolders marked "O". How I guess is from flashing roms. It's pretty imperative that I free up space on my tablet, but I don't not know how to determine which subfolders the rom is running on. Most all have program data and a twrp folder. When I go to my twrp recovery to restore a backup after flashing a new rom, twrp cannot find the backup files. How can I eliminate some of theses subfolders without compromising the integrity of the rom. I'm running Paranoidandroid 3.57.

What's your twrp version? I think you have to update it...

Yeah, you're several months behind the power curve on the recovery side of the house. Update, and then copy everything from the last nested 0 folder to data/media/0. You can then delete the 0 folders nested therein.

Updated. We'll see what happens.

[Q] Can I use my Nexus 7 to flash boot.img to my One X?

As some of you probably know thanks to the crap way in which htcdev unlocks your bootloader and with no s-off for the One X, in order to flash custom ROMs/Kernels the boot.img must be flashed outside of recovery in fastboot.
I've been doing this with my laptop but when I can be away and on the move for extended periods I could really be doing without keeping my laptop on me for doing this process everytime my ROM gets updated.
Therefore I was wondering if there was any way in which my Nexus 7 could be utlized to perform the command:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
I've a feeling I'm thinking waaay too far out the box on this one but thought I'd ask anyway.
Hmmm... interesting idea... I think the only option, truly contained within those two devices, would be if you could get Ubuntu running on the N7.
Good luck,
Billy

[MOD-CM10.1] Lockscreen PinCode Bug Remover

Hi all, all users find the bug in CM10.1 in the loockscreen with pin code annoying.
I have created patch for the CM10.1 20130412 by Mardon
____________________________________________________________________________________
How to install it:
1. Download the file attached in this post.2. Copy it into the sdcard.3. Go in recovery mode and flash it.Note: The first boot can take a while.
____________________________________________________________________________________
Flash at your own risk. I'm not responsible for any damage or brick.
When I see that there is new release I add new patch.

You are right. I have changed the numbers size in the layout.
Has anyone tried this with other builds from OldDroid, Erickas, and Biel? And does this affect other lockscreen security elements like the pattern lock?

I installed Pacman ROM but for some reason, I still have an old wallpaper showing up.

I installed the Pacman ROM via TWRP; did a full wipe, delvik, etc... and for some reason upon reboot, I see an old wallpaper that I used to use. Where is that information coming from? Why didnt it install the default wallpaper from the new ROM? Its like the phone is remembering old settings. I thought the full wipe got rid of any hint of older files. No?>

Wrong place to post this.
Probably didn't wipe data in recovery. But wrong section indeed.

If the ROM you had flashed is KitKat, then you need radios higher than .84. It sounds you need to flash the radio as well.
