I installed a Google Play Edition ROM on my i9505, but the carrier (Globe Telecom, Philippines) I'm using is using the 1800 MHz band.
Is it possible to modify the modem to use the other LTE bands as well?
Just use a different modem

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has found a way to flash GT-I9505G modem with any international GT-I9505 Lte? The reason is to get other lte bands support such as 2600, 1800 etc
Is that possible? Or it is a hardware that is incompatible?
Thanks allot

The GT-I9505G modem isn't compatible with the 2600 band

I will warm this up. Yes, the i9505g modem isn't compatible with 800, 1800, 2600.
But is it somehow possible to activate these bands somehow, as the hardware
would be supporting these bands (a normal i9505 modem is compatible with 800, 1800, 2600).
Anyone has flashed i9505G modem on i9505 with GPEdition ROM? Is it safe?
Hi,
I took my I337 AT&T S4 (GE45, boatloader MDL, baseband NI1) to Taiwan and is currently running on Chunghwa Telecom 4G TLE network. But I am not getting the LTE speed because CHT uses band 2 1800mhz while AT&T uses all these other bands beside the 1800mhz.
I want to flash an international version modem like the latest XXUGNG2 so I can get the 1800mhz frequency. Is this doable?
Someone said it's a bad idea to use a modem from a different variant. So would it be better if I flash an I9505 custom rom like Omega or Echo first, and then flash a AT&T suitable kernel than flash the I9505 variant's modem?
Me too but noone help us.
Hello, I have a SGH-i337 (I337UCUAMDL) with Goldeneye 49 ROM sim unlocked
My model has a 4G LTE 700/1700/2100 band/frequency.
But here in my country (Brazil) we use 2.5~2.6MHZ frequency for 4G
The international version (I9505) have the brazilian frequency, so my question is: Can I somehow change the frequency or flash the i9505 modem to my cell phone in order to be able to use my country's frequency?
Thanks!

Sorry, but there's hardware differences between the i337 and i9505. It's not as easy as flashing a modem.

Thanks for your reply man
Some countries in Latin America are now using carrier aggregation of LTE bands 4 and 28. Have anyone tried using it with the international S7 Edge (SM-G935F or SM-G935FD) and which firmware did you use?
I'm using a nordic SM-G935F firmware (with SM-G935FD hardware) and it would be easiest if I don't have to flash another firmware to be able to use 4 + 28 carrier aggregation.
Anyone knows if all the SM-G935F firmwares support the same LTE CA profiles or if it differs by operator and region?
To answer myself: Yes, carrier aggregation of bands 4+28 works and so does 7+28.
Hi guys,
I recently flashed my SM-G930P over to SM-G930U firmware using the how-to here.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s7/help/bloat-free-firmware-930u-tried-t3428974
Would that mean my phone now supports the expanded LTE bands of the SM-G930U phone? I would assume flashing the CP part would include the new modem frequencies.

If your phone is carrier unlocked, it will use the bands used by your carrier. So yes, it supports all the LTE bands that come with the S7.
