Yeah same here.. I tried the one of the European 423 last week when it was first released. Dislike the new lock screen & no screenshot shortcut on power menu. So you have to use the power button+ volume down key combo or small app clip manager.

Next unnecessary thread... Every unbranded 4.2.2 is the same. No need to make new thread for every country! It's sick for me. There will be hundred of threads!

Read the thread title properly. see it says Australian thread ? So if you got nothing to say related to Australian firmwares & releases move alone and troll some where else.. If you sick of it don't make useless comments, just ignore and let the moderators do their job

Also how the Call button during lock-screen is hidden by the Home button and Back button. Bah!

Yeah. No need to wipe. But you may end up with some apps like office suite doubled if you have standard version on Netherlands ROM

All phones that comes with 24month plan network locked and you have to manually unlock it. Ring Optus and unlock it. It should be free of charge. Vodafone users can usually do it through unlock.vodafone.com.au

I'm on holiday guys.. Will upload Optus .423 when I'm back in 2 weeks. Hopefully both Telstra & Vodafone releases their .423 by then so I can upload them as well

May be old bootloader (in new China rom) causing issue. Then flashing with mobile Odin may work.

Not gonna risk it
Indeed mobile Odin is much safer in this regards, it can't flash any sensitive partition. So even if you flash wrong way it's just soft brick. Two dangerous thing to flash are pit and bootloader, that mobile Odin never touch.

Might also want to update your Odin to 3.07. I don't think it's the reason for the failing but it doesn't hurt.
I also believe it's a bootloader problem.
im using the jamaican dmc1 rom since yesterday.. i flashed the one i got from the android development thread.. the thread that hosts odexed and deodexed stock rooted firmwares..
the jamaican firmware is branded.. digicel if i remember correctly.. though its branded, i didnt notice any carrier apps installed.. just the carrier boot animation.. so i just installed the stock boot animation and now i have an unbranded rom..

haven't really noticed anything drastic.. but when i was on dmb6, i have 6 shortcuts on the notification panel and it chugs/lags when scrolling to the left whenever i pull the tray down.. and here on dmc1 its not happening.. i didn't perform a wipe btw..

I'd installed Jamaican DMC1 from prerooted stock firmwares thread too, after that I've installed polish XEO CSC and the stock boot animations too , and everything works fine. It seems that Wi-Fi problem is fixed now, but I need more time to find it out.

Btw. there is another thread with firmwares.

Thanks for the heads up . I'll check it if my battery gone down to 29% and i,ll let you know.
When my phone was still on R5B i did tried to reboot at 29% and 58% but it only drop at 1%.
EDIT: After some few reboots using the power button and reboot apps and done battery reset at 20-30% (power+volup), battery still fine some times i get 1% less and some time none at all if i just rebooted a few seconds apart. maybe not all the xperia z owners are getting affected with this bug and hopefully or wishfully i wont get it in the near future.

Placebo effect. It's the same firmware, so nothing has changed to STAMINA mode. Only the customization package has been updated, which only contains region-specific bundled apps and settings.

yes you can use it, but i dont know if you get the o2 branding, maybe you get some preinstalled apps from o2 which you can delete easily with root

Oh that's cool man do you know how long until it will upload? So the difference between regions is just purely at an app level, i.e the actual 4.3 optimizations etc are the same?

Any 4.3 build with the same build number is the same Core OS, the branding is simply region/carrier specific. Any C6603 Stock FTF will work on any C6603 regardless of branding. So yes you can use an o2 DE branded version on a UK phone!

No no, that's the wrong line, the ro.somc.customerid=
Is separate from that and comes with 4 other numbers like this
ro.semc.version.cust=1270 4636
ro.semc.version.cust_revision=R1C
ro.somc.Customerid=xxxx???
But thanks for the quick reply!!

Already Changed most of the build.prop but haven't got the correct ro.somc.customerid=
Values.. It's from the commercial version that I've got.. Not from o2 Germany

You can download any of the two - but the generic one will not have any "singtel" stuff...(eg. icon for ideas, etc). Both will work equally well.
Downloading the Singtel one, thanks for the FTF.

SingTel variant seems to be a little laggier than M1/StarHub variant though. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Make sure that your device is C5303. I don't want to be blamed for flashing wrong device model and eventually bricked your phone...
Any chance someone can create a pre-root ROM that is flashable with cwm?
Thx working :laugh:
