Will the Galaxy S3 browser work on this phone? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

I ask this because when I installed flash player apk on my S3 it worked but on the GS4 browser it don't work. So I'm wondering if I download the gs3 browser will it work on this phone? Yes I'm aware of 3rd party browsers but I'm a stock browser dude

Using flash to play Amazon Prime works great.
I used CM10.1 with AOSP browser but you can do it on the stock ROM too, I imagine.

Flash Player on Galaxy Note 8.0

For general information the stock web browser will still support Flash. You can sideload Flash to the device and play videos and view other sites requiring Flash. I was searching the internet and wanted to see a clip but it required Flash. I downloaded the latest Flash Player and installed. Worked fine with the stock browser.

Just curious about where do you download the flash player.
Just google Adobe Flash Player 11.1_11.1.115.34-1.apk you should find somewhere to download it

Download from adobe:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.54/install_flash_player_ics.apk
Dolphin Browser works best with flash player, but you need to root the phone and hack the settings.
Use Root Explorer or similar app to edit mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser_preferences.xml from data/data/mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser
change the line string name="plugin_state" from OFF to ON or ON_DEMAND and save

It works 100% with mine.
I understood that Dolphin removed flash support, so it will not work with the current revision of either Dolphin or Dolphin beta. However Boat browser still supports it. I understand there is a work around hack, but its not worth my time when another browser works just as well.

For those who want to stream video via Amazon Prime, experiences have been generally negative. I had no luck with stock or xscope and others have had little luck with other browsers. Other than that, Flash experience has been OK for me.

Flash working fine here on stock browser, but even better, on this tab stock browser also supports smart text reflow, something sadly missing on stock browsers since gingerbread.

"mingkee" Thanks for sharing link for downloading adobe player.
You can also use dolphin browser with user agent set to ipad. Flash type files seem to work fine.

The stock browser already support flash player. Beside, you may try Boat Browser, but have to purchase the pro license keys. Another choice is Lightning Browser.
However, I am searching for the compatible version of the adobe flash player, the latest and last version is 11.1.115.69, but it does not seems to be stable as I thought the latest should be bugs fixed and stability. I have tried to roll back to 11.1.115.54 and is more stabilise.
Flash archives straight from the source.

Flash player

Are there any apps that will give flash support on jelly bean or are we just screwed?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Flash works perfectly for me. I'm rooted and replaced the default browser (Chrome) by renaming the BrowserProviderProxy.apk and BrowserProviderProxy.odex and copying in the Browser.apk from the AOSP Nexus browser. Side-loaded flash for mobile from the Adobe site. Search a little and you'll find lots more info about this. Other users claim Flash support on other browsers, but I haven't used them.
People like to use Firefox and install the flash apk. I have honestly never needed to use flash player though.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
I sideloaded the flash player that I backed up from another device and use it with Firefox Beta (no root required).

I've attached the latest flash player. It worked fro me with Firefox. Mine is rooted. But if you are not you can give it a shot. Let me know if it works.

Works great on boat and maxthon browsers.

Dolphin works. Even newest versions. You need to delete or change some tunny browser file. I forget exactly, just search dolphin and flash. And no....you don't have to use version 8.5.xxx. that will crash if you full screen a video.

I just tried UC browser with flash and it worked. So far it's the only one that hasn't crashed when playing flash videos. Firefox crashes occasionally, boat crashes EVERY time I try to play a flash video.

Many thanks. always want to use newest versions of Dolphin with flash support and now my dream just came true.
After read your comment and google that finally I has found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933179 thread and it work!!
Ok, but I'm not rooted (yet)
Just got my nexus 7 recently, maybe in the future I'll root it.
I would recommend puffin browser or boat browser, both support flash without any extra app. Just download one and 'ur ready to go!

Here is the thread from themes n apps

If your rooted dolphin browser beta works 100% amazing. Basic dolphin works very well too.
If your rooted use dolphin browser. Goto data/data/mobile.mgeek/tunybrowser/shared_prefs. Delete his file mobile.mgeek.tunybrowser_preferences. XML then open dolphin and adobe flash will be enabled. Will have to turn on desktop view.
You may really like dolphin its quite refined. Just another option out there. Ive had few hiccups with firefox/boat.

note3 and adobe flash

hello
I have note2 and note3 and I tried to install adobe flash 11.1. it works perfectly with note2 in all browsers. but with note3 its not running any flash website.
after many tests I realize its not working with normal browser or the chrom. but it works fine with firefox
any one was able to make note3 normal browser to run adobe flash ?
thanks
I think it's Android 4.3, not so much the Note 2. If you get your Note 2 upgraded to 4.3 you'll have the same issues.
yeah, I have the same problem with my Note 3. Please anyone has solution?

Try this:
http://galaxynote3root.com/galaxy-note-3-tutorials/how-to-install-flash-player-on-galaxy-note-3/
Try Dolphin or Dolphin Mini.
FireFox works, but it is hit or miss
Forget about Chrome and Opera because they won't work at all.

Did you set firefox to always or on demand? On some devices you need to set it to on demand and then tap the flash container for it to work properly.
