Hi all,
Is there a way to delete the call logs of one person faster than having to go through the person's contacts call history? I was hoping to long press the person's call and then delete all calls from the person. But that doesn't seem to be available.
Thanks

I've been getting a lot of calls lately from blocked numbers of people messing around. I know there are services out there, but is much rather pay for an app. Does anyone know of a good one on the market?

AFAIK, there isn't an app to do this. I was under the impression that when a private call comes in only the switch knows it's origin.
Is there an app to send block calls and even unknown numbers (people not on your contacts list) directly to voice mail?

I think Call Blocker or call blocker lite has the option to pickup then hang up instantly or send to voicemail. Check it out
Call me paranoid but I'm a bit distrustful of any app asking for call phone and full internet permission. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Lol i completely forgot If you're running DarchDroid i know you can goto Settings > Call Settings > scroll to the bottom > Blacklist
Edit: but its only for numbers you enter yourself tho, forgot about that aspect of what you were looking for :L
I just wasted an hour trying out various call log apps on the my phone and they all seem to suck.
There's not an app that actually bunches up your call log by contact name/phone number? I know the default dialer on my 2.1 stock based sense rom has basically that but it's a bit buggy when trying to delete the call history of a single number...
So I'm just hoping I overlooked a possible solution to my issue.
Thanks

TimeCatcher
The setting you are looking for is in menu>more>catch calls. Set by default. You then have to "catch calls" and set if you want all calls or just "clients"
Log 2 Calendar
Log 2 Calendar

When I first got my Epic, on an incoming phone call, there would be a voice announcement of either someone on my contact list or a phone number if not on my contact list. I don't remember if this came this way or if somehow a friend of mine set it up this way. Anyway, after I installed the leaked dk28 or sometime after, the phone now does not do voice announcement-is just rings. How can I get back the voice announcement?
Thanks in advance
Go into settings, accessibility and then check talk-back

Thanks for the reply. That program was not installed so I installed it. But now the Epic talks about everything. hahhahah. I just want the Epic to announce phone calls. Thank you again.
I know that its in the stock Tom by default. You could try Vlingo too. I know that you can configure it to read just calls, text, emails, or all of them. It doesn't announce EVERYTHING like talkback does

Go into settings...text to speech....and then speak incoming caller ID.

I tried this too but could not find the above and I really spent a lot of time looking at all the settings but to no avail. Maybe they left it out in Froyo 2.2 that I installed??

Perfect! That's the application I needed. I must have somehow put it on before and erased it??. Thank you very much!
My friend uses it on his laptop cuz he doesn't have a phone, so I figure I can give him my old hero to use gv on and have it as a little pmp when he's not in wifi spots.
It works using wifi, right?

No its not VOIP. if he wants to do that give him your hero and have him use skype. Google voice is another # that is just linked to your main cell #. When someone calls my Google voice it rings both my home phone, cell phone and my pc if its logged into google voice. whic ever I pick up gets the call. It can also do txt and voicemail. The main reason I use it is for work. I have that as my work # and give my true cell to friends. When I see a call coming in from GV I know its a work call.

Ohhhh that actually cleared it up for me! So gv would be like having dual sim cards lol nice!
so he should try skype? Isn't it $.10 a minute for skype calls? Or is that just for international calls?

Does a google voice call use our minutes? Or does it qualify for unlimited like a mobile to mobile call?

Yes it use's minutes and I doubt it counts for m2m. When I was on att I set my GV number as one of my free #'s to call so any out or incoming calls for GV got counted for m2m. I have yet to get a sprint bill but I doubt it will count as m2m

Ya, I can confirm the comment above. Any outgoing call with Google Voice, from your mobile to another number, is considered a Mobile to Landline call (and is not considered part of mobile to mobile).
I use sprint, however, and pay $5 extra a month, adding my GV number as my Sprint-to-Home number. Since I've had my GV# as my primary number that I give out for the past few years, I use the app (free or donate) GV Callback. Basically, any time I make an outgoing call, it dials my own GV number, and routes the outgoing call through there.
Google voice basically assigns a unique (within your account *only*) phone number for each of your contacts. If you call or send a text to that unique number, it shows up on their end as coming from your Google Voice number.
The PITA is, Google changes this number periodically. If you have people SMSing your Google Voice number, and your receive it in Handcent (for example), you'll see what each of your contacts' access numbers are.
Hi Guyz
I just bought an Atrix last week, coming from a captivate.
Where do i find the total call time in the Atrix.
I mean the place where it says
incoming call:
outgoing call:
total call:
In the captivate , all i had to do was hit the menu button in the recent call lists.
I could not find this anywhere on the Atrix.
Can anyone help!
It tells you right after you end the call, and you can also find it when you click on recent calls. It will be next to the phone number of the call.
