So i wanted to know is:
-Someone else is having this issue?
-How did you got the scratch?
-Should I buy screen and back protectors?
-Why is this hapening?

People have to understand that Gorilla Glass does not mean your screen will never be scratch. You screen can still be scratch from dust and sand. If I was you I would buy a screen protector and case to protect the phone and protect the possible resale value of the phone.
I take care of my phones but I do set them down on tables and desks a lot so I'm gonna buy a clear cover for the back plus it'll give more grip as I don't think ill get a case. Not gonna use a sp

I admit I am kind of paranoid when I get new things, so I haven't taken off the factory screen protectors that came with the phones :silly:
I'm waiting for my SGP screen protector to come, so the front doesn't have to look ghetto. I might just keep the back one on until they make protectors for the back and the bumper goes back on sale.
So my suggestion is yes screen protector! You paid hundreds of dollars for a device, might as well protect it's beauty!
But I ve used Gorila Glass on my SGS2 and no scratches. And the competition on the GN and no scratches either, even aften a fall of a moving car (the phone)!
So why should CGG2 get scratched!?
My Nexus four already has two distinct scratches on the glass areas -- one on the front, one on the back. They're very noticeable.
So, I'd be the first to say I don't treat my devices the best -- almost all my phones have a short lifetime for one reason or another. I've had the Nexus 4 though about a month, and I didn't even have a SIM card for it until yesterday. That being said, I'd still carry it on my person to get used to it. The cat has pulled it from it's charging station a couple times, making it fall about 3 feet to a concrete floor (damn cat). Other then that, use has been pretty sub-normal. When I put it in my pockets, I make it a point to not put it in the same pocket as my keys. My wallet (it generally goes in this pocket) is leather and has no metals. Sometimes it'll go in my pocket with my Galaxy Nexus -- which never once has incurred a scratch ever -- no matter how many times I put it in the keys pocket by accident over the years.
I had Invisible shield for my Galaxy Nexus, and it was so annoying because of the friction it adds and it really messed with the contrast -- I took it off -- I thought it was Gorilla Glass and never would get scratched -- I was right!
The Nexus 4 -- I took it by Invisible Shield and they didn't even have the pattern yet -- so I figured I'd wait, but this is Gorilla Glass 2, and I'm super disappointed it's already got scratches. I don't know what to do, so I guess the best thing to do is to let you guys know. I'll probably be calling Google come Monday to see if they have any options. I think I'm 3 days out of return -- I just noticed the big one on the front of my screen yesterday. Ugh.

Second - how can you be sure that the drops did not result in the scratches
third - I believe the first people to receive the N4 were 17th Nov 2012 so how is it that you have been using it for a month
Fourth - if your wallet has a dust particle on it, you can get scratches on the phone
mine already came with a stock front screen protector, thats normal right? not sure if the back has one either its hard to tell i have bad eyesight:silly:
Gorilla Glass is all marketing, it might be slightly stronger than normal glass but it's more prone to scratching than other screens. And drop videos show the glass will break no matter what if you drop it 5-6 feet. Only idiots at Apple would think of covering its phones with glass and only morons follow in copying such a design on their phones. LG made a poor decision on this aspect. Most cases, most people going to buy a back cover and all that shiny glass back is going to be covered anyways. So whats the point?

Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, Samsung Focus, Blackberry Bold 9000 not a single scratch, none of them used gorilla glass.
So when people say their gorilla glass screens got scratched, I believe them.
I just hope my Nexus 4 will remain scratch-less in 6 months.
I work in construction and had my phone since 14th of Nov well got a new one again a week and a half later from tmobile and neither have any scratches. U have to really be doing something to get scratches on it. Sand will scratch this glass. Keys and change won't only metal that is kind of hard enough to do that is nickel. Also dropping it a few times like op said will definitely do it. These phones are not scratch proof but it is hard to get scratches with normal use and in pockets. That is of course like I stated u have sand in your pockets!
Gorilla Glass (1 and 2) do not protect against ALL scratches:

Where are you getting the information that GG2 is more prone to scratches? This is bull ****. Out of many thousands of phones sold a few people complained about scratches.
The truth is that the majority of them scratched the screens and do not want to admit it. So calculate the percentiles and I think it is fairly low. So how does this translate into gg2 being easier to scratch?
I have had my phone since Thursday. I have no case or screen protector but I am careful and I clean the screen often using a cloth shami meant for glasses. I have no scratches and often carry the phone in my sweat shirt pocket.
I am not saying that I have tested the durability top much but I surely would not consider this glass easy to scratch.
Btw- I placed this phone next to 2 other devices i have both of which have fairly poor quality glass. You can easily tell this glass is much harder even just by tapping with your finger nail.

I'm still wary, but the following article mentions how the Edge's curved display should be able to withstand drops:

My biggest concern is micro scratches. Dry screen protectors and tempered glass seem unlikely with this phone.
I hate cases so the prospect of going "naked" with the edge seems full of potential despair.
I sure hope so.
I want this phone very bad. I'm coming from a note 3 and see it a better upgrade to the edge then the note 4.
I also hope some screen protectors are released day one.
I also am concerned about minor scratches as well. What I'm hoping is that there will be a company that releases a glass screen protector for the Edge which I plan to get and then place it in a sturdy case such as Urban Armor Gear(fingers crossed that they release a case for this phablet as well).
Btw to be clear the internals may survive but the outer glass would not. I imagine screen replacement being very costly since you can't cheaply make substitute glass no ?

I believe it would be the same as other phones.
I just replaced a s4 glass today. The guy got the glass from ebay for $5.
It's pretty much just glass . And the edge would just be curved.
I do hope there is some great bumper case made tho.

And btw: also a screen protector will likely not save the screen when e.g. dropping on a stone.

This helps confirm the nov release of the note egde.
Why would they release a screen protector way before the phone is out.
But Yea the plastic protectors don't stop the screen from cracking they just stop straches.
I would thing that the edge would chip before it just broke. But there is no telling till it comes out and people do some drop testes.
I also hope there are some good cases to protect that edge

O Yea it's not hard to make curved protectors. My htc sensation had a drip in the middle so the protector had a curve in the middle. It's pretty easy to make just vaccum forming.

I've received an answer from official Sony support staff over at the Sony Mobile support forums, on a thread regarding which type of glass is used for the Z3C. It turns out that for the display, both Gorilla Glass 3 AND Dragontrail X are used. Unfortunately, no info on the rear glass:
"For the display glass we use both Gorilla 3 and Dragontrail X but i'm afraid i don't have any detailed information about the rear glass."

If this is true I think I may have gotten the Dragontrail version because I have been pretty careful with the phone os far and already have a small scratch on the upper right. I think I would choose scratch protection over drop protection in the end because scratches are drive me ****ing nuts.
So if yours is a Dragontrail, use PET film. If Gorilla glass, use tempered glass. Problem solved!
Just need to know about the backside. To date, no one makes a tempered glass for the backside.
Why PET for Dragontrail?

Just received mine. If you squeeze the phone in the middle with your thumb and index finger, there is some flex. Almost feels hallow.

Godzilla Glass and Dragontrail sound good but give me GG3. Corning Gorilla Glass.
And give me a gel case with outer shell and I will add glass screen protectors front and back.
The Manager at Sony Store Miami which does not have Z3 or Z3 C yet mentioned " Tempered Glass " for the back as what Sony calls it.

They use Both but you won't know Which is on your phone, like the z1c had Both jdi display and another lowcost brand so by chance you could get a superbright display or a not-so-good one.
Or they use none of both and Sony support just has no clue whatsoever
After 5 days I have absolutely no microscratches. I still put it in my pocket with other things (not keys though). In addition GG 3 also gets scratched by harder materials like sand, glass, concrete. If you have sand in your pocket or mineral dust it will be scratched if it's not made of sapphire glass (which would be scratched by diamond)...
I've had my phone for 7 days now and I checked under the bright lights at work and I have a bunch of micro scratches on the back, very disappointing. My phone is carried in my pocket by itself, or set on my desk so I have no idea where such scratches could come from. It's only on the back though, the front looks fine, so maybe they're using some inferior glass for the rear.
I think gorilla glass 2/3 or dragon tail doesn't really make that much difference....
I read somewhere the key is the strength retention after the glass has been scratched. I think Gorilla 3 perform better to retain that strength. All of the glass has very similar spec.

Don't know if this deserved a separate thread but will post here as well.
Today I woke up and realized that my screen is broken. One think line. My guess that is happened yesterday cause phone touch was acting up in the evening but it's hard to see without much light.
My phone is in case, has a stock screen protector and was never dropped or impacted.
My guess that this is low quality from zony's side. Reminds me the crack that reviewers had on their back plate in one of the first review videos.

It's a smudge magnet. But my finger glides very smoothly on it and it's easy to clean. Usually it "cleans itself" in my pocket so when I take it out after having a walked around for a while, the screen is usually relatively clean.
My Z008 has got scratches out of nowhere. I always check before placing my phone under pant pockets. Still don't know how come these scratches are appearing. Now looking for a screen guard.
It's the gorilla glass 3 problem, I had the same scratches on my galaxy s5,so I got a tempered glass which is allot better in terms of micro scratches.
But fear not it's not the actual glass that is being scratched but the nano coating on top of the glass which is used to give a soft slide feeling, that's why you only see then with the screen off and from an angle.
The camera lens also gets scratched pretty easily, ad the glossy black plastic frame around the screen also develops small dents even if my phone is in a Ringke case.
I guess they really had to cut corners to give good specs at a cheap price.

Same here. the black bezel is easy scratched . I already have alot of scratches on my screen and almost 70 % on my camera lens. I only have my phone for 2 months . And got a case for it after 2 weeks.

With original zen cover no scratches, both zcreen and camera lens. Only a little scratch from wife's dimond earring near front cam, she forget to close cover before phone call, so for me filmscreen is waste of money and touch felling, useless
Apparently all material very soft. Frame around screen really soft.

I have had my phone since mid July and no scratches, black bezel around camera lens still perfect. Phone goes into my pocket every day. I use a dedicated pocket ie: nothing else goes in that pocket.
With the inexpensive Ringke case Impossible to scratch camera bezel or lens when placing phone on its back as it is then inset. For people that carry stuff in pocket with the phone I am sure a case would help prevent scratches. $200 or $300 for the phone spend $10.99 for a case. Lots of people must be buying the case as price has gone up several dollars since I got it.
Tempered Glass protector
If you all are experiencing these micro scratches, it's sort of an inevitable thing. Gorilla glass scratches with grains of sand or little things from your pocket. If you're really worried about your phone, you can purchase a tempered glass screen protector, and a case to fully protect your device!
Case and tempered glass screen protector are a must. Added them as soon as I took my zen out the box
Tempered glass save my screen from crack also.
Even glass broken, but my phone screen is protected.
I've had no issues other then dropping and breaking the screen but the repair guys told me this phone for the cost is really well built with easy repairability

I quit using a case months ago (cheap crappy pleather wallet case I bought for it just irritates me, and my wife pinched my clear soft gel case). No scratches on screen, one or two minor dents on the black plastic edges but you'd need a magnifying glass to notice them. Very pleased - my previous phone (black slate iPhone 5) got scratches on it if you as much as looked at it, and silver scratches on slate iodised aluminium looked bloody awful.

Have quie a few phones and tablets, every one since the Samsung Galaxy S3 has had a tempered glass screen protector installed.
I know this phone is supposed to be cheap in comparison with say, the note 5, but I don't have around $500AUD to throw away just because I cracked the screen, even $200 to repair is a kick in the nuts....
Those glass protectors have helped a lot of my phones survive intact.
I don't care if I don't notice the scratches when the screen is on.
For those hoping miracles on gorilla glass:
Diamonds only can be scratched by diamonds
Sapphire only can be scratched by sapphire or diamonds
Gorrillaglass can be scratched by the diamonds, sapphire or whatever is harder than GorillaGlass, this is the rule.
Where you can find things harder than gorilla glass?
a Jewelry ? sure,
the floor? - maybe, some dirt particles actually are are sand, in some places sand is composed by limestone someties harder than gorillaglass.
your pockets? very likely specially if you have two cellphones, the sapphire cover on the lens camera easy can scratch the gorillaglass on other phone, also some pencils have diamond particles on its graphite, further DIAMONDS PARTICLES ARE VERY COMMON, SINCE SiNTETIC DIAMONDS ARE USE AS ABRASIVE ON MANY DRILLING TOOLS.
So, protect your gorillaglass if you hate scratches, harder is not warranty to be invulnerable.
