[Q] Most stable ICS or JB ROM? - Droid Pro General

I have an old Droid Pro laying around and right now I'm using it strictly as a WIFI business line. It's working great for that, but I wouldn't mind installing a STABLE version of ICS or JB on it. I have been out of the loop for the Droid Pro for some time now so I am curious what people's opinions are on what a good and STABLE version of ICS or JB is out for this phone.. Any links to the roms you suggest with detailed instructions for my uninformed self would be awesome.

[Q] Which Android rom do you use?

Lets face it...MDJ isn't coming back anytime soon (If ever!) and frankly he has left quite a few people that use his ROMS in the cold.
So, in my unsuccessful quest to find a replacement ROM, does anyone have any suggestions on a Android NAND ROM as a replacement for MDJs Gingerbread CM7 Roms?
If its not listed in the POLL, just post below and I will add it.
Never tried gingerbread roms for real before so I wouldn't know sorry. However from my past experience with JDMS Ultimate Droid, I would recommend you trying crawlingcity's Ultimate Droid 3.1
The build i'm using now is gauner's desire z build. Just sticking to Froyo until enough apps get updated to gingerbread.
I would suggest Ultimate Droid 3.01.
Fast clean and reliable I have not encountered anything that does not work.
Fast boot time takes about 1 minute.
Cheers..
For me this rom is allmost close to perfect:
skink Clean Desire v1.2
Stable, fast and nice . I like Sense. Thank you
MDJs_CyanogenMod7_v.2.6_NAND_A2SD+.

ICS. Should I?

Hey guys!
I am running CM7 Typhoon atm.. but I want to try ICS. Wondering if the builds are good/stable enough to be a daily driver? Is it worth upgrading now or wait till later?
Cheers
I think yes, but just for try it. ICS right now for HD2 is very unstable.
Yersterday we had got new version of Typhoon. I've been using it since I bought my HD2.
IMHO
i too am running the newest typhoon and am slightly interested in the new ICS builds. besides it being currently unstable, what other issues are there with ICS? I'M under the assumption that not all apps are compatible with it, or they dont fully function.
i'm all for waiting until everything is a little smoother, and i do follow the progress to an extent. i was just wondering about the current status of where is it now before i'd update.
Already on ICS
There are a few good options...
My requirement was a working camera. This took a little while but the Devs are great and I now have a good camera and working ICS CM9
I decided to try it with the SD build for TyTungs port of CM9.
Is it perfect, not yet, but I have not booted back to CM7 since I booted up CM9.
I am going to wait for one or two updated before going in with the NAND build but the SD build is great if you are using MAGLDR and can run the dual boot options.
Check out this forum for NAND details:

Big Thanks to CyanogenMod and TyTung for all their work
Note: TyTung also was working on a AOSP version of ICS. I am note sure but it looks like he may have droped the AOSP in favour of CM9.
I relly like the CMx OS's and like CM7, CM9 has added CM functionality and options. You can see that CM9 is still being worked on in the menus in that there are a number of place holders in the menu, that do not yet have functionality, but the core ICS4.0.3 is working.
Good luck All,
To my mind there is no good enough ics rom(for today) for everyday's using.
Best was miui 4 works smooth, battery life is good but in my region rom doesn't see sim card...
Dev's have much work to do.
I would definitely suggest trying a SD rom first to get an idea of what it's like.

[Q]advise on a good ROM SGT 7.7

Hi, just rooted my tab , and now wondering if I should flash a custom ROM. Any advice selecting a stable ROM? Having a hard time to figure out which one to choose. A lot more easy with a HTC Sensation because of more to choose from. I like CM9 with ICS, but can't find it to the 7.7
Tnx
Stick with the stock ROM, and install Go Launcher HD if you feel like TouchWiz is slow.
The ROMs in the development section at best are only fractionally better than stock, and there is no ICS build, stable or unstable, for the 7.7 as of yet.
Seams like the devs are waiting for the ics update first to make custom roms off that.(i have the P6810)

Hey guys, many ROMs for u8800 are stable
Don't
Like the kind people above have said, don't get it.
Even though it has official ICS update, the chances of huawei fixing the bugs in the official update is very slim. While with U8800, you have Aurora ICS. And, I must say, it is an amazing ROM and DZO will be back to start developing it again (read the last few pages of the Aurora ICS thread).
Thanks.
I've had my u8800 pro for about 4 months now and I haven't had absolutely any issues or bugs with the phone. First I used the official gingerbread (which worked flawlessly) and then installed kalo's 2.3.6 rom just to get some extra customization and smoothness.
I'm still happy about getting this phone and it is excellent for it's price. I recommend.

[Q] What's the current latest and greatest?

I'm sure there's a million other threads like this, but the Iconia development world moves too fast for me to keep up, and for those older threads to maintain relevance. So I'm wondering what the latest and greatest ROMs are for the Iconia A500, and better yet a good guide on how to get it going.
Here's what I have going on right now:
1. It's running stock ICS (4.0.3, image Acer_AV041_A500_RV05RC01_PA_CUS1) applied through the OTA update.
2. It is rooted.
3. It has stock recovery, stock everything besides being rooted.
I do have experience flashing ROMs on Androids, rooting, ClockWorkMod, ADB, etc. but I have never flashed anything on an Acer before. Ideally, I'd like to throw CWM on there and a (mostly stable) JellyBean ROM. Can anyone hook me up with some threads?
Thanks!
EDIT: You know, from the looks of it, that CUS1 kinda screams that something isn't stock. The only explanation I have is it changed when I rooted it.
In Developement section I noticed JB 4.2.1 beta3 is most current if your going on JB numbers (over 4.1.x) not all works (but is getting better each version), read thread
if you goto any JB ROM , it will based on another BASE... ACER A500 STOCK ROM only has gotten to 4.0.3 so far (NO JB)
A good MOD or addon, I like is "Google NOW by Civato MOD" it adds Google NOW to 4.0.3. (ICS)
Lightspeed 4.8 is a great ROM (older ICS 4.0.3 based) but nice how it is stripped of bloatware) and you can add OC kernel and have @ 1504 Mhz
Civato, has made a few ics 4.0.4 ICS roms with A700 mixed in, better screens, etc.
I Like sticking with STOCK Acer_AV041_A500_1.054.00_WW_GEN1. It's the most current STOCK version.
Then I strip out a lot of Bloatware, add in Civato's Google NOW mod. another MOD AD Blocker (etc\"hosts" file)
I tried JB on Another based ROM, couldn't get into it, I'd try 4.2.1 in few weeks when more is working.
*** MOST important to get onto ICS UNLOCKED Bootloader, and before that, GET CPUID before u do any other CHANGES
Hope this has been helpful.
So... Where do I start? What software should I use? Do I fix the bootloader first or flash CWM, or what?
