Dear All,
Recently got my nexus 4, and everthing works fine other than the front camera.
When i select the circle icon i can see the HDR, Flash,Settings and the exposure icons , but the camera swap icon is missing.
Because of this able to use only the back camera and it becomes very annoying when using skype for video calling as you can understand that the back camera is not much of use for the same.
Can anyone help regarding the same.
PS-
The phone is NOT rooted
When i got the phone last week , the display stopped within 15 minutes of use, got it to the service of LG and they claimed to have replaced the motherboard.
It is working fine otherwise and really like the phone ...

try installing "GalleryGoogle.apk" manually, you may find the latest one which is ported in 4.3, here in XDA somewhere. It shall resolve your problem.

Thanks for the response, i have downloaded the APK from the link above, before i install the APK i have a few queries..
Does the Phone need to be rooted for the above APK to work ?
Are there any know issues that can crop up because of the installation
You don't need root and the only potential 'issue' is that it will completely replace the stock camera.

It did replace the Stock Camera and still no front camera...
Help Please
To out it in perspective you do not have the icon in the pic in red that I have circled in red ? Another idea I'll say is to reload the most current factory image for the Nexus 4 and see if that does the trick

samsung touchwiz and keypad.hmmm this indicates that you are running a stock rom and a stock kernel..i think you should try a custom kernel and a custom rom(cyanogenmod preferable)...and please do a backup of your build.prop before doing any alterations...it worked perfectly fine for me and t3er..please DO NOT ALTER ANYTHING EXCEPT ro.product.model.. AND REMEMBER,YOUR DEVICE MUST BE ROOTED!!!

Hi, I don't understand how to do it but, is it working with P3110 ?
Have just flashed Hyperdrive's R17, and flashed the modules.zip. I need to set APN, and can't figure it out. I have set it manually using some specs i see in another thread, but I still have no SMS capabilities even though it says 4G and I can make phone calls and use the internet...if someone can help me out that would be awesome!
edit: i can receive sms messages, but not send them....weird

still all attempt to send a text message from two different apps fail....doh
You might have flashed a bad module.zip let me see if I can provide you with a better one and remember to wipe the cache

you're a genius. I think I flashed from MK2 to NB1, and then when flashing Hyperdrive i forgot to wipe again. Texts sent!

Iv'e got a problem rooting my phone, already tried towelroot saying my phone isnt yet supported yet and ioroot neither worked..
Iv'e checked my build number and its weird, it doesn't match with any 3 ending characters of any version (D850 - 10D, D855- 10A\B\C and so).
I'll add a picture hope you guys can help me out, Thanks.

We both have the same version. I believe that is the asian version of g3 (im also thinking it is the Singaporean version because of the SEA suffix, but i might be wrong)
Purpledrake root method worked for me, so you might want to give a shot. Check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/root-root-lg-g3-easily-purpledrake-lite-t2821000
When i try using purpledrake on windows this comes up..

did you follow the steps correctly? Like changing your usb in adb/ptp mode? Did you also try manual method?

Managed to solve the problem and rooted my phone successfully, thanks!
I am looking to move my Pixel XL kernel to support the Pixel as well, I need some people with the device to test for me.

Thank you! I will say that I just updated my phone to build NDE63P I don't think it flashed properly but on build NDE63L it did. I won't be awake too much longer but I am def willing to keep testing when I wake up

I just try the N7 rom,its work ,just a screen color bug. Sometime the screen turn another color,someone have an idea to fix the screen bug??

I have a bug when using N7 build if i activate night clock or always on the colours all invert and everything goes dark but if do not use these features all is good a smooth fast rom any idea's why?

Is a kernel problem, keep aod and night clock off
