my bro. have galaxy y.. I rooted it.. there r too many custom ROMs available. on development section .. I don't know which one is stable and smooth. .. can anyone help me to select stable rom . ? give me link also... thanx in advance
1.) There are many available roms which are candidates for "stable".
2.) READ, READ, and READ, the OP, user comments, and feedbacks from users about the ROM. <- (Missing this step is the #1 reason why people's phones get bricked then whine and blame developers for their fault of not reading instructions)
As simple as that.
There is no 'most stable', 'best' rom/kernel ever since we have our own perceptions.
Well you can try Hyperion 8 build 02.It's fast and stable or if you want rom with pure ICS looks,go for Evo X-4 and yeah please read the forum rules.

Since I cannot post in the development section, I will post this here.
I've been crawling the forums for some time now and I really appreciate kyrillos and Lestatios custom roms.
You guys are doing a really good job.
But one request for all the people active in the respected custom roms' threads:
Please stop spamming requests about what app shound be included in the rom and what launcher and so on...
Both Kyrillos and Lestat seem to tend trying to incorporate all suggestions that one raises in the threats.
Especially now, that the new froyo sources are available there are more important things to be done for our "rom heros".
incorporating "useless" apps to please 2 people just bloats the custom rom and keeps the devs from creating custom roms that are really "custom" on a much lower level, instead of just random pre-installed-app roms.
Kyrillos and Lestat: You need to be more arrogant!
You should be straight then it comes to developing your custom roms!

Now that there is a clean XXJLP on the lose, is it still better to install Krillios ROM or Lestagious ROM or to go with the new and shiny JPL?

Can you provide the link for the shiny new JPL...? I wouldnt mind taking a look and seeing how good/bad it is compared to KYrillos n Lestat ROMs....

I am new here, I just have 3 Months with my G3, I updated with samfirmware Rom I5800XXJP4 but I want to try a Cyanogen ROM because I understand is So much better, and have the best battery life (my ROM drain my bat very fast) But I don't know were find Cyanogen ROM or how to install.
Right now I am looking and reading, but I'll apreciate any help...
right now its in alpha stage. as u know alpha stage rom is not bug free, so its not recommended to flash it now. if u want u can test it. Its being developed by Marcellusbe sir, apollo5801 and other developers. u can find the thread about it in development section

oh pirhatas u r talking about cynogenmod for froyo.....yeothts what i wonder y didnt all devs take up cynogen froyo instead of makin so many customfroyo roms......i very well knowits not at all an easy job but still tht cud be gr8 for g3 community's development.
I am just simply lost. I want to try out a 4.1.1 JB version but there are just so many to choose from.
Are there main differences between all the ROMS out there ? How do I go about choosing a good one without having to try one after the other and spending hours flashing, wiping, reflashing, etc... ?
First check changelogs and see what has the most functionality and is most stable, then from your shortlist flash some to see which you prefer, also best Rom threads are not allowed on XDA so this will prolly get nuked, just fyi.

I really don't like to make commercial , but try my rom "CroJB" (link in my signature)

But you need to try which you like the best! There are so many good roms as you said. You have to try and please don't make that kind of threads again

And where is Horse ROM, CM7.2, MIUI v2/v4, Aurora, Mokee OS? I think that this info is just from you're opinion. If you started this already, so publish links to all stock/custom ROM's and to info with root/cwm instructions. Everyone must decide to themselves abaut witch ROM is worst, good, better, best. Don't put you're own opinion to others! So everybody can make the same thread with they're opinion witch is best for them.
With this info that you writed this thread must be not in development, but in general section. So if you started to do so, make it good or delete it if you can't do it in right way.

well yes this is my opinion and i thought i should share it here. i will update it with more info anyway.but if you saw in my thread i say BEST so people can choose them. it would be useless if i provided all of them since anyone can see them from the u8800 pro forum.

According to me , the only one full functional rom , plus tvout operation , is Horsemageddon.
So you're not objective but subjective ( as i am right now).

i kinda agree with the aboves.Ice pika and sendu are not even final roms,they are under development.Plus they are based on Huawei ICS which they have done it (Huawei's developers) really quickly and sketchy and have all kind of bugs..You should definately add cm7.2 its an excellent rom

If you intend to open a ROM resource thread, you need to be impartial and include all ROMs. Otherwise its just a list of your favourite ROMs, that shows little respect for the other hard working devs that you choose not to include in your list. Personal opinions are not need in the dev section, let users make there own informed decisions based on fact.

Thanx for the roms nd your hard work... its my request for u guys to work on kitkat based roms for our i9500... because lollipop update which we received recently has many bugs... the major bug is ram management and over heating issues which causes our fone to respond very slow... i knw graphically lollipop update is jst awesome... but performance wise it really sucks... so please developers work on kitkat based roms like porting note 4,s6,alpha,s5,A7 roms etc... let samsung fix issues in lollipop.. till then work on kitkat roms please.. its a humble request... i personally enjoyed ozcan rom, hassan rom, aurora roms etc... hope u guys look forward to my suggestion... Thanks!
