Anything recent? no AOSP Roms please.
Are there any touchwiz 4.4.2 roms made specifically for users of the old bootloader?

I recommend this one, based on stock TW 4.4.2, works on the old boot loader no problem. Updated all the time with newer firmware and plenty of add-ons to choose from.

I've been doing that, but being on the old bootloader means allot of the TW roms don't work quite right and I end up wasting allot of time flashing and reading through pages and pages of reply's..
Thread closed as its basically a Best ROM thread.
If I were to replace the systemui.apk with another, would that rom now have all the visuals of the other? I'm trying to take all the visuals and certain apk's of one rom, and combine them with the functions of another. Is that possible without building an entirely new rom? They're both TW based roms.
Even better... If some brave soul would port this rom for us sprint users, it would be much appreciated. These are the visuals I want to put in a sprint rom...

There are just no custom roms better than stock in Note 4 case. That was the point.

Disagree. FireKat and DynamicKat in TMobile thread for Note 4 have great reviews (improved battery and performance over basic stock). True, these roms are still based on stock but they do offer more than pure stock alone. Agree that stock (or custom stock) is better than CM on our Note 4 though.
New user of s5 here. Just flashed a aosp 5.0 rom.however the battery doesnt seem to be very good compared to my last phone nxs5 with code blue kernel. Not to mention the performance was awesome!
I was hoping i could be directed towards some compatible kernels with lollipop ( tw or aosp). Thanks.

No apparently there is not yet. This is because all of the 5.0 Touchwiz rom releases are only leaks. Which means there is no kernel source code out for ktoonsez to modify.

oh.ok. thanks again
Meanwhile there are Kernel for TW made by Ktoonsez.
In my mind, the latest beta Kernel works best (01/16)

Plz guys help to find good Rom for my S4 without more problems
you should say more about what you're looking for in a rom. do you want Samsung features and touchwiz or a pure Android AOSP or something more modified like cyanogenmod ?
only a Samsung based rom will give you full features in the camera or MHL support. AOSP and CM will be usually faster and give more free internal space. no rom is going to be perfect though as that is also a measure of personal preference and custom roms often have tiny bugs in them.
usually talk of which rom is the best is discouraged here, we are urged to try some for ourselves and make our own choice...

Lol. Seriously?
What harm does root access and debloated roms do?
It is like blaming the gun and not the person who pulled the trigger when someone is killed. :/
And FYI due to the heavy amounts of bloatware and other unwanted stuff, the performance is slow in stock roms and also not all of them are stable.

Just stay on debloated stock ROMs with stock or close-to-stock kernel. That's it.
