[Q] Can't connect to Camera Error - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need some help.
Have a Droid Razr M
Rooted and bootloader unlocked
Running CM 10.0
gapps 2012
Whenever I try to use the camera, I get an error, "Can't connect to Camera".
I've tried downloading different camera apps, and nothing helps.
Interesting, the barcode reader app has the same issue. So that leads me to believe that the error isn't from the actual camera app, but at a lower level in the ROM or Firmware.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

I got an error message 'unable to open /recovery/ last log' during flashing but installation completed anyway. now Google play forcecloses perpetually. av tried clearing data, reflashing the rom, uninstalling and reinstalling Google play, fixing permissions nothing works. av tried turning log switch off in huawei menu but it tells me not done. anyone has. a fix to this situation

Try other ROM and then flash cm7.2.

A501 won't download from Google Play or install other ROMs

Hi,
I have an Acer A501 on which I installed CWM and a custom rooted 3.2 ROM shortly after purchasing it in order to use a certain app that required root permissions. I noticed that after the root, the device would give me a "server error" when trying to download apps from Google Play, but I didn't really pay much attention to it, since I didn't download new apps very often and I figured I could just get APKs from other sources. Recently, though, I have been trying to give the tablet a new life by getting Google Play back to work (since searching for APKs on dodgy sites isn't exactly the most reliable way of getting new apps) and maybe installing ICS. I flashed a stock 3.2 ROM and got rid of CWM, since I assumed it was the reason for Google Play not working, but apparently I was wrong, since I am still getting that error. I have also been trying to flash a stock ICS ROM, but every single one I've tried so far shows an error (the Android robot with the yellow warning sign) almost immediately after starting to flash. Does anyone know the solution to these problems? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Bump... Anyone?

Yeah, I remembered I had the same error.
Anyway, pls try to check this link...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733038
In my case, I just removed the existing account. Then, add the same account & it is working OK.
Thanks for the link. As for removing and re-adding the account, I have done that multiple times, to no avail. I have tried force-stopping and clearing the cache of Google Services Framework, as suggested in the thread, but now, I get a connection error merely trying to add a Google account to the device... I even did a factory reset, but I still can't add a Google account, as if the Google Services settings hadn't been reset at all.
EDIT: I just realized that the reason I got a connection error after the factory reset was not being connected to Wi-Fi. However, after clearing the cache and data of Market, Google Services Framework and Download Manager, I get the same connection error while trying to add a Google Account, even while connected to a Wi-Fi network.
EDIT 2: I have rebooted the device, and now I'm back where I started. The error code is RPC:S-7:AEC-0 LOWQ-XYAM-M7MTS.
Any Luck? Same problem here with a stock A500 after a factory reset. I've tried two good google accounts. Getting "Google Talk Authentication Failed" and " Error retrieving data from server"

[ISSUE] Galaxy S4 Cannot Connect to Camera

Hey there,
I just installed the latest CM 12.1 Nightly release on my Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 and the camera doesn't seem to work. It just pops up a message saying "Cannot connect to camera." and the app closes. I tried downloading other camera apps such as Cymera, Google Camera, etc. but it doesn't seem to help. I also tried the CM 12 Camera fix application over the PlayStore but that doesn't seem to help either. I tried using another rom by the name "Euphoria" for my phone and the camera seemed to be working fine there but with other major issues in the rom itself.
I'd appreciate any help on the topic.
Camera issues are a well-known problem with Cyanogenmod, due to incomplete driver support. Reboot your device to reenable the camera, and download an app like CameraMX that includes its own binaries to control the camera. Try not to use the stock camera.

Thank you for the reply.
I did try installing the 'CameraMX' and also 'Camera Ultimate 360' but both of them don't seem to work either. I don't get any camera error pop-ups and it is the only difference, I could witness from the stock camera app but, the camera is just a black screen in those apps. I guess I will have to stick with the nightly updates in hope for a camera fix.
EDIT : Rebooting my phone doesn't help either.
me 2 i installed android 7.1.2 and some while she stopped work and also the flash camera

Anyone have any luck with the Google Camera 3.x?

Anyone have luck running the Google Camera App (v 3.x) on the X Pure? I keep getting a "Cannot connect to camera" when switching to video.
I've been waiting for the update but it has never come. I could download the APK but not sure if I care about it to try it.
same...video doesn't work...hopefully and update will fix that.

[Q] After update: Camera Error: Media Server Error when opening camera

Hi guys
I just updated to the latest Nougat B25. Now when I open my camera, it pops an error and closes. The error is "Camera Error: Media Server Error".
I have force closed the camera app, cleared the data and cache for the app, rebooted, and tried force closing "Media Storage" system app.
Another camera app from the playstore works OK.
Any suggestions appreciated!

Nope. I'm stock except for root, but nothing has changed in that respect, except taking the update (then re-rooting, etc)
