1. SMS slan isn't needed in a forum.
2. Yes you can deinstall Telnet without loosign anything. But if you want todo something that might require it, you have to reinstall it.
Telnet isn't very big so why doyou want to deinstall it?
Just install the JF RC33 firmware and don't worry about losing root.

If you are going to get on the poor man for using SMS "slan"(g), at least spell check your response. Deinstall isn't even a word.
You are right about Telnet though, it and the terminal emulator come in handy for further hacks, so unless you are really low on space (which is really likely, and doesn't take long to do) then I would just keep them.

u can remoov telnet n terminal, but y wud u wnt 2? many uv the hacks will need u 2 do comnds n a term window. ull nd up needing thm evn2aly.

I started developing Android Applications a few days ago.
Now, I wrote a Program wich is about to call a new class/activity.
But always when I launch the Program and it want to call the new activity, the errormsg "Source not found" occurs in the debugger.
I created the class with a leftclick on the existing class-file -> new -> class.
I know, the Internet is full with informations about "Source not found" but i didn't find any informations about exactly this issue.
Would be nice, if someone could tell me, what I did wrong...

Please elaborate on what you are doing. Does your app start? Does this happen when you are debugging your app?
I imagine that you are debugiing and stepping through the code. If you try to go into a method from the framework you need to attach the source code for the framework otherwise you get the message "Source not found"

Sounds like the flash didn't work properly. Try doing a doc format then reflashing the ROM again. You must not disconnect while flashing and make sure device is not plugged into a hub but USB on PC.

Orb, don't know if you've seen the Wiki, most of it seems to be missing - at least in the Uni section. A lot of stuff I posted isn't there, and stuff I remember looking at is also gone. It's very hard now to find things like 'doc format' etc.
Anyway, 00gayan00, I have uploaded the doc format here.
Disable virus protection before unzipping mtty
1. Disable ActiveSync (and also USB connection) at PC
2. Set the device in BootLoader mode and connect the USB cable to the device
3. Run the MTTY tool and select the USB connection during start
You'll notice the prompt - USB> (may need to press ENTER)
4. Type the following command one by one (DO NOT use copy paste) and then press ENTER -
task 32 <press Enter>
task 28 55aa <press Enter>
5. Exit MTTY tool
6. Flash a good/working rom to your device
7. DO the Hard-Reset!!

What is step 8.. when you do the hard reset, do you press 0 or X? Or should I do something else, like take the battery out first? I'm missing something...
I have followed your instructions, but my phone still just sits there -- it doesn't boot up. I can see that it does still enter bootloader mode... but it doesn't seem to want to boot, no matter which ROM I use to flash it... I've tried three different ROM's now.

I kept trying ROM after ROM, until TML v8[1].7.1 21028 regular 64MB actually worked!
However, the phone won't connect to my AT&T provider... when I do a manual network search, the phone only finds a TMobile network. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks
First install ORBOT from market then when ORBOT is ready . install PANDORA apk that u can find on the internet (many places) and start it..
NOTE:
FIrst install of ORBOT takes time ..
sometimes PANDora might report wrong country then u have to "kill" it ..stop orbot and then start ORBot and then fire PANdora...It works and i love it !!!!!

guys sometimes PANDORA wont work following above steps but there is a fix follow the steps below IT WORKS HUNDRED PERCENT NOW !!!!
EDIT : as pointed out by juan in the thread exit nodes change overtime , using {us} in exit nodes field to make sure always node in US are used.
1. GO to orbot settings then go to the option "exit nodes"
2. Enter the FOLLOWING pick any four/five of these and enter there as shown in image attached
Amunet2, Amunet3, Amunet5, CCN2, peter, 1337Relay, 5tr3ckrava, akVidaliaTor, alecto, Amunet11, Aquillar
as shown in image below
3. Check the "strict nodes" option
4. Select Pandora for proxy as above if you have not done it before
5. Start orbot and once connected fire PAndora
6. Enjoy !!!

work pretty well for me, try to stop and init orbot again, and then start pandora.
If doesn't work then verify in the orbot conf that you have pandora app to route through tor.

same was with me, I already tried this earlier but with no luck.
I read that somebody could use it with orbot + asproxy, but I've no idea how asproxy works...
FIrst post updated!! Guys It works now ..No asproxy no other headaches..I love my phone just because it runs PANDORA !!
WTF it worked but when I skipped song it gave me that damn error...
Edit: I've restarted tor and now seems to work perfectly
U need to add those exit nodes..I havent had a single problem after that
Ran into this Pandora app that has a transparent widget. I installed it and placed the transparent widget in my homescreen. When I tried to run it though, I got the ff. error:

So I thought, oh maybe because it's a modded Pandora app. I'll try the original from the Market. I did. Got the same error.
Next I thought, maybe it detected that I'm not from the US (I'm from the Philippines). I followed the instructions shown here in this thread, which worked for me before. But now, I still got the same error.
Any ideas, guys???

I'm deployed overseas and this makes my life! I did have to check "use default iptables" or else it would give me a warning and fail to start up.
Another simpler way is to install droidvpn and then use pandora

Droidvpn is another way to do it but I wouldn't say its easier. With orbot you just enter working nodes and you are good to go. It doesn't have bandwidth limit or need and account like droidvnp.

I tried orbot but it always gives me error : error configuring transparent proxy.

Nodes change over time, I use {us} on exit nodes, and still working.

1.there is nothing much to do with super user app it just help in granting or denying the root permission.
2.Use of rom manager is up to u look in the application its very easy to use.there is a very helpful tool in that start up manager use that it help in clearing ram space.
3.use link2sd search it in Google its guide it is very helpfull app.

You can install apps that allows Root Access In moving apps to SD CARD, you can use Link2SD. It's free in play store.
