I own a Note 2 (vzw) and really enjoy the floating multiwindow feature so it got me thinking ,, is the a rom for the nexus 7 that has some sorta multi-floating feature. the ability to run any app in a window would be awesome.

Thats all touchwiz so unless someone can successfully build a N7 rom with tw framework its not happening. moon rom is really cool though
Supposedly someone got it working over in the Galaxy Nexus forums and several devs are testing it out right now.
Maybe well have it on our N7s soon.

What's the best ROM currently with tablet UI? I know it's a matter of opinion, but I still want to hear it.
Google Wallet should also work as well.

So far paranoid android is smooth for me...

I'm curious about this as well. Been looking at Paranoid Android mainly.
Paranoid is the best way to go.

I am very happy about Paranoid
Definitely paranoid because some apps look really wonky with tablet ui at 720px, but with PA you can customize the layout of each individual app which is awesome.

Paranoid is amazing though I wish i could use other ROMs with paranoid features

Paranoid working fine for me. Like the per-app customization.
Stock works fine too.
IMUI has a really different and beautiful UI then all other ROM
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
MIUI is terrible for the Nexus 7. I love it on my S2 but too many phone features are still present in the Nexus 7 MIUI build. It feels half-done.
Paranoid Android is very slow but the UI customization is good.
I'm tempted to go back to stock though because it has been the smoothest and best battery performance rom for me.
PA 2.1 is good for me
Team Bamf
I'm using team bamf paradigm v2.2. Seems to work really well get really nice battery life out of it.
TeamEOS
The TeamEOS ROM works quite good for me.. I would recommend it to everyone!

The AOKP nightly ROM is pretty awesome.
Just ordered my Nexus 7 today, this have been sort of helpful...lol.
EOS has a dead simple Tablet UI option. Just check and forget. It uses the same DPI as stock so you dont have any comparability issues like other methods. I haven't had a single problem running in tablet mode regarding apps and games. PA gets good rep too but EOS simply just works so good I can't come off of it.
Battery is also simply amazing. I unplug at 8 when I go to work and will still be at 100% when I get home if I dont use it. I unplugged the N7 like 20 minutes ago and on XDA and still at 100%. Absolutely no complaints.

Hey Guys
Was just wondering if it's possible to somehow implement touchwiz on the nexus 10?
Any insights appreciated
I'm gonna say no! The Google aosp Roms are about roughly between 120 to 250mb in size , as a touchwiz rom is at least on my galaxy note almost 600+mb, there's too much tw system files to port , it would be half broken and it would run like crap, someone would have to be very dedicated to spend days upon days working on something like this only to be a bad and slow ROM. Your best chance is to find a touchwiz ux launcher that works with cm10 Roms and install that.
Just my opinion
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium HD app
The Play Store has a TouchWiz theme, costs $2.00. I like it -- adds some nice subtle grays to the UI.
Can't be as bad as you say. They have touchwiz for the nexus 7, and that isn't even a Samsung product. It would just take some porting, and debugging/kernel modding to get it to work well.

Look at the amount of people involved in the development of that rom, it takes more than just some porting and debugging a kernel, I attempted to build a cm9 ROM for my galaxy note from source before official was out a while back and is no easy task, I know making touchwiz ROM work on a non tw device is not that simple. But that's just my opinion.

Alright so obviously I have the nexus 4. This really isnt a big problem for you guys I just need quick help.
You see I'm getting really bored. Maybe because its a developer phone and I'm obviously not a developer. I keep trying to sell it and since my birthday was today I almost got the galaxy s4.
I just keep thinking if there was something I could. do to this phone to make it as cool as the galaxy s4 I'm just not impressed.
I have rooted
I have over clocked.
Installed custom ROM
I just need Idk features that make the phone cool. Or something that'll keep me busy so I'm not bored.
Thanks

read around, maybe something will catch your interest. personally, i dont need the extra features. i look for something lean, and optimized, which usually means fast. the simplicity of android makes me happy, i dont need anything else.

rasbean jelly rom with the trinity kernel. but thats what i enjoy
Its basic human nature that they get bored after using the same thing again & again for many days. After a month of usage, I was bored with my S2, then I started trying out new ROMs, I used to change ROMs once every 2 weeks.
I got my Nexus 4, 3days ago.........
Try out different ROMs, try different software tweaks, or different apps from Play Store atleast. Otherwise just find something/someone other than your Nexus 4/10 to remove your boredom......

okay see because I over clocked and rooted my Nexus 4 and 10. Running pa with stock kernel. I literally took of Faux kernel does now because it was overheating my phone. I still have my Nexus 10 overclock and rooted. With same kernel. I just need something else to do with my phone. When I usually go hiking or trailing I do photosphere's and then add it to Google Plus but other than that there's nothing else to do

What you need is tasker!
That should be a really interesting project for you
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...EsIm5ldC5kaW5nbGlzY2guYW5kcm9pZC50YXNrZXJtIl0.
You can do anything with this app
What you need is to change the way you interact with your device. Remove the nav bar and use pie (learn to use gestures) , nova launcher (and many roms out there) have the option to remove the notificatiom bar. Use dashclock with the extentions as a homescreen widget. Use halo for notifications. Use icon packs to change the way your UI feels, change the wallpaper more often. If you're on google+ take a look at the communities, people are doing some crazy stuff customizations, try to replicate those themes.
Buying the s4 won't solve your problems.

Yeah the only thing Im not doing from what you said is using halo and pie. I did that with my nexus 10. The reason why I didn't on my nexus 4 is because I put tablet ui and made it transparent and made the app drawer transparent too

I'm still using stock ROM. Missing many features of my S2, so I'll root it after a week, install a good ROM.......
Hi there,
I recently purchased my nexus 7. I used to have an XDA account from years ago.
Basically, tonight I installed the AOSP ROM released for the nexus 7 on rootzwiki forums and I found that it had the normal launcher so it seemed like a jelly bean ROM with a white theme to it. Since then I discovered I was able to download and install Google Home and that enabled me to use the new UI with the transparent status bar and nav bar. So far I like it a lot. Its quite stable with a few bugs and it will get better.
And a video on YouTube of the ROM

I would add screenshots but the xda app doesn't let me

I believe it's the launcher. As you can see, the Search Bar is out of place too, I have the Google Experience launcher on my n4, and it doesn't look like that. I believe this launcher wasn't N7.2 ready.

Anyone using Omnirom on their n10? I didn't see any recent topics on it. I've grown use to the multi window feature on my Samsung products and would like to try the multi window feature of omnirom. My nexus 10 is still stock which I have no problems with. Thoughts?

A quick look through the Android development forums and you'll see, now, two OmniROM roms. The official one was just released yesterday and Tempest rom has been around for a very long time. Good luck.
Try it out! It's nice if you are accustomed to using it. I flashed Omni for that specific reason. I just find I have been using it less and less since I graduated; it was very useful in college but now I can't use it at work because the N10 is not company-issued ("secure") and when I'm just browsing the Internet or playing a game, I have no need for it. If you will find it useful definitely check it out.
