Any way to get Quickoffice back? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed PA a while ago and I guess Quickoffice wasn't included in the gapps pack I flashed. Is there any way to get it back?
Thanks

Download a stock rooted rom, navigate to system/app, extract the quickoffice app, and install it on PA

Where would I find a ROM like that? I downloaded a stock update.zip package, and went to /system/apps and it wasn't there. How else would I find the app I need?

Custom rom/recovery

Okay so like many of you cwm isn't sticking and when I go into recovery I just have the Google logo, I want to flash ROMs so installed ROM manger and found that if you boot into recovery through that app you can get into cwm.
Would like some advice on which is the best and safest method you have used! Thanks

My cwm didn't stick and when I manually go into recovery it hangs on the boot screen. ROM manager seems to work

i assume so, since i use it over and over and over again. anyways, theres a file you have to remove or rename in the /system/ fs that causes the recovery to not stick. most custom roms already have it removed, stock rom you have to remove it. the file is recovery-from-boot.p, rename it or remove it and your recovery will stick(at least twrp, cwm should also).

Deleted clock app and it won't install

Not sure how but I deleted the app when I flashed Omega 3.1. I still have the zip and unzipped it. Tried to download the ClockPackage.apk but it keeps failing.

Flashing new rom

Hey guys quick question. J am unlocked, rooted with s off. I have aman recovery. When i go to recovery, flash zip from card it doesnt show any images, just some folders. I am assuming i want the one that says boot.img from when i extracted to the root of the sd but it isnt showing up. Do i need to rename it?
Sent from my LG-MS770 using xda app-developers app
If you are flashing a ROM you want to copy the zip file to your card.
From what you have written it sounds like you unzipped the ROM and copied the .img files to the root.
So if that is the case erase the files/folders you extracted and placed on your sdcard and then copy the zip file to the root. After that go back to recovery and select the zip you copied over.

Damn xda app I was trying to quote not thank. Could you give a link to the scripts you are talking about. Most times they are flashable from recovery but without knowing which ones you are talking about I really can not suggest what to do.

That script will only work on a sense Rom and only on the 5.0.7 base. Is that the Rom you are flashing?

Stock rom

Hi everyone, is there a stock 4.3 ROM.zip anywhere? I could only find downloads for the original stock Google images that needed a computer and couldn't be flashed through a recovery. Cheers

Is this touchwiz only?
There's no need to flash a custom ROM. You can add almost any widget from stock uprooted...... Here's what I use
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.citc.weather
To get it transparent just edit the settings to your liking.
Does not work on my note 2 upgraded to 4.3. ruem9, flashed with twrp. Tried clearing the cashe, no joy.

Yes sir. I know that. What I am not sure about is should I use note 3 mods after the upgrade to 4.3 or note 2 mods modded for 4.3? Thought I would give this mod a try. Did not work so I said so. No one seems to know which way to go after I ask this question.
hmm I would go to the note 2 thread and see if there's mods for your note 2 from the note 3

Works on my MJE Note 3. I unzipped the apk, backed up my original AccuweatherPhone2013.apk & odex files, copied the new apk to /system/app, rebooted and it works perfectly.
Looks fantastic with Roman Nurik's Muzei Live Wallpaper app, btw.
Thanks for the link, Menardo

I use this. Its Transparent Clock and Weather.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droid27.transparentclockweather
now that Weather & Clock Widget offer a paid ad free version I havent found a better widget with a transparent settings as well. I have paid for at least 10+ widgets and this one in my opinion is the best.
I downloaded and flashed this zip and now I want the original weather widget back. Anyone have the .zip file that can please share it
