The outcome was a little disappointing
So after 1 month of waiting, I received the flex cable+ usb connector + circuit board (all in one).
Disassemble/Reassemble.
* Phone still says (when plugged in): charging. But battery% goes slowly down. *
For months, the phone have been having problem with charging (or says charging but the battery doesn't really get charged).
Charging while phone off, charging with different chargers, charging with USB, charging with wall AC, charging with different batteries, charging after reset battery status, charging after CM10.1, charging after CM7.
Nothing works. Only putting batteries in an external charger works of course.
All hope for an internal charging was lost.
PS: As before, USB files transfer is fine, before and after repair.

I think there's a problem in the hardware
not in the software

Get ur phones usb port checked

that is a mainboard issue. i had the same one about an year ago. i've sent the phone to samsung bulgaria for service, they said it's the mainboard of the phone. they've replaced it, saved me 80$ for a new one, and the phone has been working like a charm for over an year. if your phone is still under warranty, restore its original firmware, remove any traces of root and send it for service. if you restore to its original firm and you get a charging paused. voltage too high notification then it's deffinetly a MB issue

Charging issue

Last night at 12% I plugged in next to the bed with stock charger. The phone spazzed and started trying to open the desk dock. It was like plugging in and unplugging over and over again...fast. on top of that I've never used the desk dock so I don't think I triggered any settings.
I rebooted and changed outlets. Its still doing some strange things on the charger this morning. Plugging in, screen off the red charge light stays on for a sec then blinks off and repeats.
Not rooted.
Anyone got any ideas.

It could be your connecting pins in the phone. Did you try a different cable? If it wasn't the cable, then have you ever had to wiggle the phone around before the cable/dock connected?

Should've tried it already but ill switch cables and try again. I tried jiggling the cable. The connection to the phone doesn't seem as tight as the day out of the box that's for sure. Ill post back with findings.
Edit: upon further investigation I was too tired to realize that my daughters new puppy may be the culprit. Thought my awesome new phone had turrets for a sec, phew

Yup. That'd be your problem lol. But for future reference, try to line up the cable and the port and push it in once. When you can't put it in, you start wiggling it around which breaks the connecting pins. I've messed up a few phones like that lol.

[Q] Device Charges Only From USB Port, Not From Wall Charger!

Hello guys,
I have a weird problem with me device, it does not charge with the wall adapter (rated 0.7A) and rather discharges while showing the lightning bolt charging icon. Right now, I am trying to charge it with USB port with some success. It is very slow though.

A couple of hours ago, my battery had dropped to 1%. I plugged in the charger, and I tried to switch on the device (which I usually do, and it has worked with no issues until now) so I could use it simultaneously. The device started and turned off, and refused to accept and recognize the wall charger. After trying all sorts of things, I plugged it into my laptop's USB port and it finally started charging. I charged upto 3% with USB and then tried switching to wall charger, it didn't work. SO right now I'm charging the device with USB and it has reached up to 18%. The charger still doesn't work. Any idea what's gone wrong with the wall charger?
Please help me out.
Try to charge with a 2A charger.

I charged it via USB till 50% and then switched to wall charger, it worked!

Plugged to AC , bricked the phone

so , i have a G6 i was using a samsung aftermarket fast charger QC3.0 , just when plugged it in the phone vibrated couple times (like of plugging and unplugging the cable) then turned off completely , and won’t turn on tried hard reset .. etc
when i plugged it to the car 12v charger the light of the 12v charger turns off when i just plug the chable in the phone , and turns back on when i take it of the phone (like the phone stopping the electricity )
so i want to know whats faulty , is it the charging port , or the whole Motherboard ,
PS: the electricty in that room is not good at all , after the incident i knew that i burned 2 phones charging port !
probably your cable was damaged, thats the thing who make the circuit to get overcharged and maybe the plug and unplug make the motherboard blow...

Looks like a sm schottky or TVS diode. You should replace it.
Further thought: You should bridge it and see if the phone will power up - just don't plug it in while it is bridged.

USB Port issue

Bought this phone as a secondary phone 8 month ago,,
And the USB Port has loosen up...
I bought the phone unofficially so no official service will offer service for me,
Can't I just change the USB C port to a new one?
All the available USB Logic board here are without the fast charging IC
I had this phone and swapped THREE charging boards. It keeps having the same issue and nothing will work. Tried different chargers too. I think this is just a flaw in the design of charging board. I unfortunately had to recycle the device.

The replacement charging board I received was different from the original.
And this is how I charged phone overnight for the contact with the board to keep charging the phone, otherwise it wouldn't charge at all even if the cable was jammed all the way in.

The available charging board here isn't good quality by looking,
I didn't opened the phone yet and I guess it's the USB female socket's issue, will changing this help a bit?

bypass battery and run directly using charger

I've used this phone for a very long time now, since 2018
My current use case is using it as a hotspot and running some server and torrent apps on the phone, it works well, 24x7, connected to the charger all the time.
There are times when the battery does not charge for some reason and the phone needs to be restarted after the battery fully drains, especially when dowloading torrents.
I remember an older phone I had long ago, Lenovo Zuk Z2 plus, it used to work without the battery connected, directly connected to the charger.
I have a inverter in place so I don't really need the battery in the phone for my use case, I would like to use the phone like a computer connected to the charger 24x7, I was wondering if anyone knows if the Nokia 6.1 plus would work this way i.e without the battery connected?
I would like to save myself the trouble of opening it and disconnecting the battery just to find out.
Thanks.
anyone?
So, I opened the phone and disconnected the battery...
and...
It does not boot up without the battery connected with the phone connected to the charger.
Probably a jumper is required, anyone know how?
So, I visited a mobile repair technician, and
He tried direct soldering to the battery connector port, which didnt work
He removed the strip from the battery and connected the charging port to it and it didnt work
He finally, put it all ack together and removed the IC on the charging board, that controls the battery charging, now the battery is always charged at 100%
Just thought I'd share with the community
Ps- What he didn't try was a using a diode, but he said that wouldn't work either
