Yes, I did, I have tried about everything that I could find on google, and that one gives me data, but mms wont send.

hum,
try APN Type: default,supl,MMS
or try setting the MMSC, MMS Proxy, and MMS Port to the non-smart phone?
Sorry if you already did this, I am looking to see if I can find anything else but I want to check to make sure the basics are covered.
Can you post your APN settings here? Just so I know where to start lol

I have default, supl,MMS set what are the non-smartphone APN, I have tried a lot, lol.

you see this part?
Find below the values needed to update your device data settings to be able to send MMS* and connect to the Internet via your Browser:
1
Create a new APN (Access Point Name). Enter only the settings listed below:
name Net10
APN tfdata
port 80
MMSC http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy mms3.tracfone.com
MMS Port 80
Youll need 2 APNs with that one.
First one from top of page, APN type would only be default, supl
Second one bottom of page, APN Type MMS
Field Settings Name net10 APN tfdata Port 80 MMSC http://mms-tf.net MMS Proxy mms3.tracfone.com MMS Port 80

That gives data just no MMS.

Nope....give me a min. Ill write up each one.
Here you go:
FIELD SETTING
Name net10
APN wap.tracfone
PORT 8080
MMSC http://mms.tracfone.com
APN Type default,supl
Name net10
APN tfdata
PORT 80
MMSC http://mms-tf.net
MMS Proxy mms3.tracfone.com
MMS PORT 80
APN Type MMS

I have to swap the APN type to get data, trying to send MMS now, with the above wap.tracfone as APN type mms.
Doesn't work.

I know these apns on net 10 can be phone specific from all of my research, but here is the apn I set up with my girlfriends nexus 4 that got data and mms working. Btw I feel for you cause I know how frustrating it can be to figureor apn settings on net 10!
Apn name: Net10
APN: tfdata
Port: 80
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS proxy: mms2.tracfone.com
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
All others were unchanged. Also, be sure that data roaming is *checked* I hope this gets you data and mms, if not gl in your search!

Had similar problem on my new S4 after fumbling around trying to get best 4G/AWS on Net10/TMo for my ATT i337. Checked the APN settings I did on my wife's just rooted S3, and saw that her MMSC was http colon //mms.tracfone.com, mine was http colon //mms.tracfone.net. Made the change and presto, I've got 2-way MMS. Hope this helps you. (I'm so new I cant post anything looks like a link).
Suggests there's a need for a key, at least for a noob like me to understand what the differences are between various settings for MMSC: mms, mms3, tracfone, tf, .net and .com because it seems I've see all variations from time to time.

OK, trying this post again hope not a dupl...1st attempt went bonkers. Anyway screen shows 3G when I have WiFi on, and once I shut WiFi off, 3G remains until I start a data transfer, then shows H+. 14.3M is pretty good, better actually than my DSL via WiFi.

It's been a long process, some of which was learning curve, some of which was due to noob status Android puzzelments. And I still do not have short code SMS, which was not a problem using Net10/ATT, but is still out of reach with Net10/TMo. Otherwise I'm happy with the service.

Can't send/recieve MMS in CM7

As title above states, I cannt send nor receive any sort of picture message in CM7. The problem was always there I would just tend to ignore it since I can't find a fix ANYWHERE! But now I'm getting fed up with the fact that my phone can do just about everything except send/receive MMS messages. I've never had any problems with sending SMS messages. Here's the thing, ever since I flashed MIUI.us, my MMS messaging works both ways (sending/receiving) like there was never even a problem. But, after flashing back to CM7 (always will go back to vanilla android ) I once again cannot send/receive MMS! This is very frustrating and I cannot find a solution anywhere on the web. Any help on the matter is appreciated!

Midwest owners

Wondering if anyone here live in Minnesota mainly but i also want to get a general idea for att customers using the international note in the Midwest and what data speeds you get and apn configuration? I can never really pass 1.5 down and 1up ... whether default apn or the ones from the att apn thread.
Thanks

[Q] Speedtest.net and Nexus 4 problem

I have the Speedtest.net app on my Nexus 4 and ever since I got the phone I can't properly run a test my ATT speeds. On Wifi it works great but when I turn off Wifi, Speedtest freaks out and it either gives me a very high ping around 260ms and the download is ALWAYS 0.01Mbps and upload stays around 0.5Mbps or sometimes it won't even connect and gives me error but I do get an IP and I can surf the web so it's not a connection issue.
I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like.
My main question is why can't it pick up a regular download speed? I never had this problem with my Galaxy Nexus.
Thanks
Probably the proxy settings in your APN. Remove those and you should be good. Post up the settings from the APN you're using if you're not sure what to edit.

Delete everything out of the Proxy setting. [Edit - you can delete the data out of the Port entry directly below Proxy as well]
I would guess that AT&T probably blocks or throttles this on their side to control bandwidth.
Yup, that did it, but wow I'm getting some really crappy results.. under 1Mbps
If your account is provisioned for HSPA+ you'll probably get better speeds using the phone or pta APN. There are a couple recent threads discussing this. I'll link later if you can't find anything.

you should get around 5-7 mbps, and MMS works correctly (both sending and receiving)
If these settings DO NOT work, then you need to call AT&T and have them upgrade your data plan to allow 4G! This will be free of charge.

No no no, don't do this or use those settings.
OP, you didn't mention that you are on a MEdia Net plan (dumb phone plan) and that is confusing the people trying to help you. Any time you mention cellular issues, you should specify the plan you are using.
Now, OP I can tell from your APN that you ARE on a MEdia Net plan. Next time, I would recommend you search the subforum for MEdia Net it will bring you to this thread, where the issue has been identified and resolved.
I posted on page 3 regarding the issue, which uses the same resolution that bedoig prescribed: delete the entry for proxy.
Now, being that you are on the MEdia Net plan, you won't be able to get speeds above 875KB/s down (7Mbps), even on HSPA+:15. AT&T apparently caps all dumb phone plans to that bandwidth. You won't get LTE and the phone/PTA APNs will not work for you. Those are smartphone APNs, so you should only use the default APN (which was automagically selected for you) but you can delete proxy to use bandwidth tests.
You could switch to a more expensive DataPro plan to get marginally faster speeds, but you'll be capped at 2GB/month and there's a chance you'll be caught tethering. I don't recommend you switch to DataPro for the very slight and unnoticeable upgrade in speed. AT&T doesn't monitor data use on MEdia Net plans so you can use well over 2GB on your current plan without issue. As I've mentioned in that thread and in several of my posts, I've once used over 12GB in a month; tethering for myself, my roommate, as our many guests because Comcast was being sheisty.
Now you've got all the info you need, and see that it was already available in another thread. I would recommend this thread for deletion because it adds clutter, not value. If people search for this answer, they will be linked to both threads.
Thats not necessarily true, my apn was originally the wap cingular one as well because I was using a nexus one prior, upon changing to the 'phone' apn, everything worked.
Depends how much the op is currently paying for data plan I guess if those settings don't work.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Well if it is going by plan, I have the grandfathered 'unlimited' plan and the APN settings seemed to work for me. Yup, 12Mbps down here!
I got another problem. Once I do a test and the speedtest uses GPS. GPS doesn't switch off and kills my battery unless I do a reboot.
I'm running AOKP, so it could be a problem related to that.
That's insane
