I have a Nexus 4 Stock without root.

cannot download apps from playstore

I tried to look for this problem, but couldn't find anything relevant...
finally got my unlocked nexus 4 in the mail today!
was super excited, cut my existing t-mobile sim card (I'm on a contract with them) and was able to connect to their network.
the problem is that no matter what network i am on (wifi, 4g, 2g) i cannot download any apps from the play store. I click on 'install', it brings up the permissions window, i click on 'accept and download' and it tells me "[app_name] could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]."
Also can't update any apps...
I am extremely confused.. has anyone encountered this problem?
Remove your Google account and re-add it

Google Plus Updates Only On Wifi

Hi everyone
Noticed my Google plus app updates posts only when I'm on WiFi, not when I'm using my data connection. What could be the problem? I'm on the 4.2.1 ota but the problem was there before too.

I think there is a setting when you setup G+. Don't know if you can change it. Try resting the app through apps in the phones settings and set it up again.

It is your nexus saying screw Facebook...if I was a nexus 4 I wouldn't want Facebook on me either.

I am with djwyman. Don't install FB app on your phone please. It is a piece of ****e software. Instead use your browser, chrome or Firefox. Works rather well.

OP, I do not know the source of that error, but from the screenshot it looks like you are using a custom rom. Try deleting some cwm backups. If that fails, do a factory reset and start over.

WiFi Problem

With stock ROM rooted the WiFi will just cut off but the icon will say it has full connection. Will this be solved if I changed the ROM? It only cuts off for the browser.

Maybe you would want to check the wifi sleep policy again.
See if it is getting off with screen lock.

depends,
the scope of the issue is wide,
better just get the wifi drivers,
search in the development section for the drivers
OK thanks

Thanks for all the help. I managed to fix it by doing a full wipe.

Bump..no luck with clearing download manager data

How large are the games? I had the issue with an update to "Angry Birds Space Premium" which is 46.07 MB, so I moved closer to the WiFi AP and retried again, which worked. You could also try disabling "Wi-Fi optimization" in "Advanced Wi-Fi" settings.
Kinda like that apps that are 40mb up..will try and report back

Are you trying to update an existing app?
Log into your Playstore account on a PC and make sure your N4 is set as active and then try and push the install from the PC.
