Keyboard. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hello. I read some where about getting the sony keyboard on the samsung galaxy s4 but you had to be rooted. And I don't want to root my phone. I love the stock google keyboard but it started acting up on my phone. And I love the samsung keyboard but the auto correct is terrible.

So...what exactly is your question here because all i see are a bunch of affirmations

I read the same comment in this thread you replied in.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=874015
And I believe the person who made the Sony comment did not say they used the Sony keyboard just that they liked it better and they use Swype keyboard instead. I understood that as they previously used a Sony phone and currently use Swype over the Samsung keyboard.

Ohh... That's what you meant, the software keyboard. I have no idea, that or swype are good ones.
Seeing how the xperia play is basically the x10 with physical controls and the x10 has cm7 then it can't be too long till you can rock aosp to include stock android keyboard.
I'd just sit tight for a while
yeah, the keyboard sucks balls...coming from someone who has always had a hardware keyboard it is quite an inconvenience, so much so that it deters me from text input wherever possible.
Just get swype. It works so well with the phone.
The HTC_ime keyboard is what I'm using right now. I was using swype on my last phone but this this app is something that I could probably get used to.

Swype works so much better on this bigger screen.

Has anyone seen this Samsung launcher yet?

Anyone see Samsung's bizarre "Pure Breeze" launcher yet? I'm sure it's a different division, but I'm glad to see they're working on bull**** like this instead of things like Gingerbread updates.

I have a feeling that developer has absolutely nothing to do with Samsung other than deciding to get a free ride by including the name in his own.
No, I think it's legit... I don't get it either. Galaxy S Support also RTed it.

Yeah I just don't see how Samsung could be affiliated with this horrid launcher.
Either someone threw the Samsung name in their author title, or Samsung needs better quality control in their Android development department.
EDIT: I saw the twitter post from Samsungjohn and I have to say I'm disappointed. :/

Yes but has anyone tried the paid version? I tried the free version and it does seem like crap but just wondering if the paid version unlocks the cool part of it.

The only thing that would make this awesome is if it came with a statement saying samsung is no longer placing custom skins on their android phones.

i9100 vs i9250

Hey guys, so I am just looking for your opinion here.
Which one do you honestly think is better? The i9100 (Galaxy S2) or it's twin the i9250 (Galaxy Nexus)?
Here's a feature comparison table from gsmarena.com: http ://bit. ly/nrhH02 (delete spaces)
Technically, the only thing the Nexus has going is the 720p resolution and bigger screen. But it's a Super AMOLED (no plus) which I read somewhere has an RGBG sub-pixel arrangement, therefore giving it a green tint.
Everything else is either matched or better on the GSII.
But then again, there's direct software updates from Google for the nexus, I mean, the Nexus S has ICS already and the GS2 just got leaks and CM9.
So what do you think? After all this, what's your opinion?

Sorry but;
OMG NOW WAY! How do you do that? I was just looking through every single page on these forums like a dumb ass!
I'm not an idiot. I might be new here but I'm not new to how forums work.
Neither the search bar at the top or Google directed at forums.xda gives anything.
I'd be grateful if you just post the link to that post.
Annnnd then again use the search tool.. i typed galaxy nexus vs galaxy s2 and this is what popped up http://www.google.com/cse?q=galaxy+...=0&gsc.q=galaxy nexus vs galaxy s2&gsc.page=1.. Why look for it page by page when you can type the keywords and it automaticaly finds it?
Edit: Also, wrong section of the forum.

@ephraim033
Why didn't they tag the model numbers. Try searching i9100 vs i9250 and you get nothing. Anyway, I'll make sure not to expect these sort of things from people. I'm usually good with Google.

Well, most users prefer saying galaxy nexus rather than i9250 because it is more well known than a bunch of numbers.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Oh, I prefer the numbers because you never know how the user will write i9100. Sii s ii s2 and its just generating so many searches to perform to make sure you find it its just annoying. i9100 is the definitive model number and you can't stray from that.
And I came to this thread thinking that I9250 was another Galaxy SII variant after I9100G, I9100P, I9100T, M250 and the latest I929.

There also not called sgsii , their called captivate amaze etc. If your looking for a fix or something you'd go for the international version. Since its international it just sort of suggests its got the most users. I'd explain more but I just sort of have to get you guys to try think ahead. I'm posting from my i9100.

Yeah, well, that's how people write it. They prefer the ones with words. And as the poster above said, i also thought this is one of the i9100 variants

Galaxy Nexus does not come with a Micro SD card slot. (N)
Therefore, my SGS2 is more suitable for my needs because gameloft games take up my internal 16gb and music and videos in my 32gb Micro SD.
I know. Its a huge deal breaker for so many.
Kinda makes you think, either Samsung was ahead of its time and released a phone that's still the top dog and can easily challenge the newest one for its title of best. Or maybe we reached the limit of innovation before we venture into 5" computers (due to debut next year windows 8)

Galaxy Note Gets Safe kernel on JB as on Galaxy note2!!!!

Test Rom Review shows galaxy note gets very much close to its successor SGN2.

Korean or japanese. But u can always use google translator n read in english.
It's Vietnamese.
Am I impressed or what? Almost every feature from S3 and Note 2 has been ported to the Original Note. I'm damn loyal to Samsung now. And another reason not to burn my wallet for Note 2
TS, your topic title seems too minor for such a huge update upcoming for Note.

Samsung style keyboard

Is there a samsung style type of keyboard of ASOP for LG G2? I really don't care for the stock android keyboard?
Sorry I didn't feel like searching, but I'm sure you can find one in the S3, S4, Note 2, or 3 forums. I think I've seen one in one of those.
