flash wiz's bootmenu, then boot to recovery from there.
two things: first, abandon xda. your best bet is rootzwiki, which is still somewhat active.
second, work on your grammar. that run-on sentence barely makes sense

[Q] Cant install applications anymore, TBH help?

So, I rooted my phone via Z4Root, bought and downloaded Bootrstrap (awesome) then i installed the Tranquility 3.6 rom.. hopefully P3Droid looks here.
When i went to market to download Bootstrap again, because I wasnt feeling the rom too much.. It would download, then as it was installing, the phone restart, making it so the app was in an endless loop of "installing"
I rebooted the phone, and nothing.. so i used RSD LITE to do the SBF thing.. and it didnt fix it.. Tranquility F'd my shiz up. What do i do?
do a factory reset from the phone settings/privacy/data factory reset. I had the same problem. Apps would download then it would soft reboot during install. Evertime.
your gonna lose the tranq toolbox app after the reset. FYI.
whatd you do to fix the soft reset issue?
The factory reset should fix that. Well, it fixed for me at least.
Well, i cant bring up clockworkmod recovery, what would i have to do?
Loading the SBF does not automatically erase the current ROM. SBF to the latest OTA, and then do a factory reset using Motorola's recovery. After booting back up you will be able to start the whole rooting process over.

Well i rooted again, and loaded tranquility 3.6 again, but i STILL cant access Clockworkmod Recovery from TranqBox or w/e its called (phone isnt near me to look at it, sorry dudes!)
When i go there to 'reboot to clockwork' it just sticks at the Moto logo (i changed it from the tranq one) and doesnt move.. do i just reinstall bootstrap ?

You definitely need to have the Droid X Bootstrap installed. You will not be able to boot into Clockwork without it.

[Q] Need Help With Recovery

So this is what happened...
I was helping my buddy install a Rom on his Droid X, and after wiping everything and installing the rom, i rebooted the phone and it got stuck on the "M" screen.
So i figured i would go into recovery and either restore a back-uped session or just wipe everything and reboot again.
But in recovery, he doesnt have an option to restore sessions or anything. and when i try to wipe data and clear cache partitions, he still gets stuck at the "M" screen when i reboot.
Also, in recovery, it gives me a message that says,
"E:cant open /cache/recovery/command"
and after googling this and looking for solutions, none have helped. It says try pulling battery for 5 minutes, or deleting the "update.zip" file (which i cant because i cant boot the phone up), and even pulling the SD card (which doesnt make sense, but nonetheless didnt work anyway).
Any help would be appreciated. I feel real bad for putting his phone on a soft brick haha so please help a brotha out.
Thanks in advance

What ROM? What was the Android version before hand? At this point it's not going to matter, you're going to need to SBF (factory restore). Check google for guides, or look @ the site in my signature.
Yeah, seems from you described you got your hands on a bad file; maybe the file didn't get downloaded completely. In any case, your best bet is to sbf your phone (restoring to stock using software). There is a ton of info on that, do you shouldn't have a problem on how to do that. If you need help or direction, please let us know.

you have encountered my one gripe about my X. You can't get to recovery if you get stuck in a boot loop.
Your only option is to sbf back to stock and go again. I just had this happen today while I was at work. I decided I want to run Apex 2.0 alpha 3 and messed up. I was stuck at work all day without my toy.
im having the exact same problem and i tried to sdf back to stock using rsd lite as explained in another section and it goes thru the whole process reboots itself, says 100% done and tells me to "power up this phone" only i cant because when it rebooted it got stuck on the M screen ands stays there and i cant power it up.....Any suggestions appreciated THANX
Get into stock recovery and wipe

Possibly bricked my droid X, help!

Hello,
I recently installed the gingerbread OTA rooted ROM, and had a glitch with the market being stuck regardless of the phone being rebooted. I tried to reflash the ROM, but installation kept being aborted.
Now, my phone is just stuck on the motorola logo. I can go to the android with the "!" sign next to it, but i cant access the menu (pressing the search button).
Any suggestions? Or is my phone doomed?

yeah, had to SBF, thanks
edit:
Quick question, If I'm on black hat's gingerbread root OTA rom, how would I go on to wiping and reflashing it? I tried to reflash the 2 part rom, but that didnt work , so I had to SBF and work my way back to gingerbread.

MIui Question

I cant post in the thread because I am "new" so I am asking here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1181486
Post 1 says:
NOTES:
You MUST be on CyanogenMod 7 or .340 Froyo to flash this rom!
Remember to wipe before flash!
On 1.7.22.1: It is on Rom Manager, Click Check for Updates!
You must go into settings and change resolution of MIUI Camera to get it to work.
Do not wipe to install it.
Market apps are fixed!
Post 2 says:
If you haven't heard about this ROM yet then check out the videos in the 2nd post to see it in action!
This is an excellent ROM if for no other reason than it introduces the first non-CyanogenMod/carrier/manufacturer framework overhaul of Android 2.3.4 and boy what an overhaul.
So what version should I have to install it?
I don't want to install and end up in a boot loop because we all know how hard it is to fix a Droid X when that happens
You must be on either CyanogenMod 7 or 340 Froyo. You must flash 1.7.22, not 1.7.22.1, it can be flashed later.
Also, it's not that difficult to fix a bootloop lol.

How do you get out of a boot loop with the Droid X?
I can't get into recovery unless I am in a Rom and run Droid 2 Bootstrapper
Well since I can't post in the real thread I will post here all the bugs I find.
1. Lot's off apps in the market don't work. I am talking a good 40-60 at least. There are a few important ones I use like Noom and Cardio Trainer.
Market shows that the app is incompatible with my device. Ti Backup tries to restore but either says it is successful or fails, it works neither time.
2. When I check Settings>System>About Phone and then click Systems Updates it force closes settings.
Reason I was checking this was because I tried to update using ROM manager but that didnt work.
3. ROM manager works, however it does nothing when I click "Check for ROM Updates"
4. Google Maps was said to be installed, maybe on the next version but since I cant install that I had to install it myself
5. Tethering and hotspots. No hotspot option shown. Also USB tethering did not seem to work. I tried the 4 different settings you can have the phone in when connected to USB but the status says USB not connected (obviously not true since I am able to connect and view my SD card through my computer)
6. ROM fails to load after a reboot. Happened to me twice and I had to SBF it back to stock for it to boot up. This happened when I just did a normal reboot
So for now I am done as I am looking at the Motorola logo even after a wipe of data and cache

I experienced a bootloop when I was flashing back to froyo 340 (droid logo, droid eye, droid logo, droid eye, and so on).
Here's what worked for me:
1. Power down the phone (battery pull)
2. Put battery back in
3. Hold home key, then hold the power key until the phone turns back on (you should see the M logo)
4. Press the search key when you see the Android next to the triangle
5. Using the volume up/down keys on the side of your phone and the camera button to select, wipe the data and cache (please note: you only need to push the camera button half way to select)
6. Reboot the phone and it should work, at least it did for me.

Yeah I tried that and it works sometimes but not usually.
How did you flash miui? Did you flash it over CM7 or froyo 340?
SBF to stock 2.3.34
Wipe data and cache
Reboot
Install Z4Root and run (reboots on its own)
Install Droid 2 Bootstrapper (Flash recovery/Reboot recovery)
Install MIUI from zip
Reboot
It works fine for a while but after install some apps and fixing settings it wont get passed the Motorola screen.
This happened twice. I miss the OG Droid because if that happened you could just boot into recovery and load your last save and you are good to go

how are you installing the apps? manually from the market? or titanium backup?
Are you referring to post 4? If so I tried both ways. Market won't let me install the ones that I cant get installed. They just don't show up in the search. If I go onto the market website they are there but once I choose my phone it disappears.
Titanium fails when i try to install the apps
It's as if the phone is not broadcasting what model it actually is. So the apps that do work are just "works on any old Android" while the others ones say these devices only

Oh, I see where I mentioned installing apps in the last post. I did the same thing as i mentioned above. A combination of Ti and market installs

White Triagle w/Exclamation point

Yesterday I lost root. I had been on the original SuperOneClick. I've never received an OTA and had previously flashed unsecured 6.2.2 from the forums. Anyway, I re-rooted with Burritoroot3, flashed CWM and did a backup. Since yesterday afternoon, my Fire has been crashing with a screen that shows a white triangle with an exclamation point and a green android man symbol. After a few times yesterday, I went into recovery, cleared cache and davik-cache and it seemed to be fine. Now, today, almost 24 hours later it's happening again, but after doing a hard reboot, it loads, then starts to shut down again and the white triangle screen again. Seems to be in a loop. Any ideas?
Edit: Restored my backup from yesterday, so far, it's not rebooting, but I'm watching it like a hawk
Update: For the last two days, about 24 hours apart, it still goes into a reboot loop. The only way out of the loop is to go into ClockworkMod Recovery and clear the cache, but the following day, it did it again. Does anyone have a clue what could be causing this and a possible fix?
Bumping the post to bring it current. Thanks
try to flash the default 6.2.2 rom from amazon then root again there was probably just a problem dont worry

I've been thinking about doing that, will it leave all my installed programs intact, or reset to factory defaults?

Flashing the rom will make your device look like new. Might leave contents on the SDcard but if you don't have a way to back it up, you are in a position where it doesn't matter much.
Make sure the device is charged up first though.
i would say to flash the default rom, you can easily redownload all of your apps, books, and music that you got from amazon. Once you do that make sure everything is up and running then in a few days you should reroot or just stay as a default user. Btw you dont need burrito root 3 if you arnt planning to flash roms
I know this isn't constructive, but...
Am I the only one that laughed at "White triangle w/ explanation point" ?
EDIT: There we go...Ninja OP title edit. Lol.
Comment deleted by OP
Was a solution ever found? I also have this same problem. Stock 6.2.2 rooted, after roughly 24 hours it goes to a white triangle with a orange exclamation point, and android man. I go to the CM recovery, and do a "factory reset", then reboot, and all is fine for roughly 24 hours.
