Galaxy S4 stuck at ATT logo after restore to stock ROM?
It has been on there for 5+ minutes... Is this normal for initial boot up after restored
Pull battery. wait thirty seconds. hold volume up put battery back in to get into recovery. wipe cache. Reboot.

Do a factory reset in recovery. Works every time.

This has happened to me a few times. A quick reboot into recovery with Wipe Cache/Davlick should fix your problem

factory reset, they are all correct.
Thank You !
Love yo guys i was ****ting bricks! totally worked thank you
I have tried everything to fix this issue on my s4 active through at&t and nothing that these people have said has fixed it.
The first logical explaination is to factory reset it but that doesnt always work like in me and OP case.
Ill let you know if i find anything that works as a fix for this.

Hello,
I wanted to update my Note to official german ICS (N7000XXLPY) using Odin. After going through th whole process:
extracting, wiping, putting in download mode, chosing N7000XXLPY in PDA and starting, it took some 5 to 8 minutes until odin finished with
"REMOVED!" and the phone restarted with new ICS boot animation.
Now it's stucked on SAMSUNG logo. I've tried to reboot a few times but nothing changes. ANy help would be apreciated.
Thanks,
BruXav
ps: the rookie I am forgot to enable debug mode before going through this :-(

Tried to flash 2.3.6 and it worked fine, then reflash with 4.0.3 but it did not work, still same problem, factory reset / wipe cache does not help
Go to cwm
Do full wipe
Wipe dalvik
Wipe cache

I never got update of rom MEA. I had MDM and then I got update 3 days ago and it's MGA. But this no service issue was before this update too. Any suggestions?
I have the bell galaxy s4 i337m.
I tried to unroot my phone and after restarting my phone its stuck on a boot loop.
I tried entering recovery and it shows the blue writing "recovery booting...." but nothing loads.
What should I do?
Wipe data and wipe cache
Sent from my GT-I9100G using xda app-developers app
What recovery, and what version.
if you are using twrp version 2.6.0.0 then that is your problem, if the above solution does not work, it would easier to odin back to stock and start the process agian, ie, root, recovery and so on....hope this helps...
Good luck
and Thanks
how would I wipe data and wipe cache?
I cant access anything on my phone, when I turn it on its stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy S4" startup and doesnt change and when I turn on my phone while holding the volume up and power button it says recovery booting but just stays stuck like that.
I cant really do anything on it.

Why are you doing things to your phone if you don't know what you are doing?
Read this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2413746
and then go to the "General" section and read all of the "pinned" threads.
You should have done at least this much before you did anything to your phone to start with, but if you do it now maybe you won't mess your phone up any more. Good luck.
knock it off with the scolding

Hey this brings a big question to my mind... was there an over-the-airwaves update to our friends in the Great White North? Is there now the un-chop-able Harley taking it's place in the land of Canucks? I thought their phones didn't have a locked bootloader?
I just got my nexus today and i was willing to root it, so i followed this guide http://www.androidrootz.com/2012/11/how-to-root-nexus-4-on-windows.html?m=1 . did you wipe the system?
boot into fastboot, and flash stock image.
Yes that will help... What I've learned from my previous phone, i.e. Sony Ericsson Walkman W8 is never wipe data/ factory reset your phone until you have a ROM ready for it...!! I had the same issue with it but I could pull out the memory card and put a custom ROM into it... So then I flashed the ROM.. And had no problem booting! So... I downloaded a ROM for my nexus 4 before rooting it!!
Just shared my experience... Someone might benefit from it!

Doing a factory reset doesn't affect the ROM.
Anyway, flash the factory system image and you'll be good.

First of all dont panic! Nexus its not easy to brick.
Just concentrate and read carefully.
Check this tool here for easy rooting /flashing etc and follow all instructions.

Well it happended with my vwalkman. And also with my brother's xperia ion while rooting. I put CWM on it. And by mistake after the factory reset I rebooted the system and it got stuck on the sony logo... Even the recovery was gone... I had to fix it by pushing a custom kernel with a recovery in it.. Also it happened with my friend's htc explorer... It was stuck on the htc logo.. Cz he wiped the system after flashing the supersu file and then rebooted.. But he still had the recovery..! But that was fixed by simply inhaling a ROM!! I never posted this anywhere as I couldnt find any similar threads...
