[Q] CM7.2 Games - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

When i was using stock rom with cm7 elg drivers, some games given pixel problems (in subway surfers no lag version it gaves pixeled colourful screen). If i flash cm7.2, it will give those problems again?

To remind u...cm7 and cm7.2 are not perfect and stable builds yet...
There are bugs in both the versions....so u can play gsmes but u have to bare the pixel problems...
I recommend shifting to evox rom
Or Monochromatic roms....for better gaming...in my opinion
Hope this helped

The drivers that were release by broadcom were test and not fully functional...
I would suggest you to use Stock based roms until we get the drivers right in CM7/9

I'm looking for stable 2.3 rom to games

Hello. I have problem with 'frozing' phone on 2.3.4/5. If I have phone turned-on about 24h, and I turn on Asphalt 6, other Gameloft's game or Lane splitter - phone's 'frozed' and I must restart it. Do anyone rom's stable and not frozes?
Sorry for my bad bad english, I think you'll understand it anyway ;-).
Greetings.

try use custom rom in android developement page.
there's a lot of roms
currently using amestris v3.6.1
I used F1 gs2 on JVP, Juwe's on JVR and now I'm using Revolution on JVS. I used stock JVR, too. All with root (cfroot, dark core, semaphore and galaxian). On every one it's unstable and frozes. Do 2.3.3 make it? Do your 2.3.4/5 makes it? Do not reboot phone in 2 days and use it, then open gameloft's game.

Thanks. I'll try it. But today everythinhg's ok

i was using cyanogenmod7 a month ago. games like splinter cell, fifa 11, avatar, asphalt 5 etc worked perfect for me. no freezing, nothing. But if your a noob then be carefull while flashing cm7.
I'm using CM for a month. It's mega stable. But I'll probably flash rom with TouchWiz4 cause CM is boting for me now xD.

[Q] best miui GB ROM?

which is the best miui gingerbread rom available right now for our blade.
plzz tell me or post the link here. i love the miui look.
I think there is only 1 miui gingerbread rom presently available. It is by andalulu and is a bit laggy in UI.
Sent from my Blade using XDA
yes i have installed it. it is nice but there are some noticeable issues with it
1. system.apk is in chinese
2. instead of play store as default marketplace it uses its own market which is all in chinese and when a app want to redirect to play store it get redirected to the other market(which is not by google) and in chinese
3.it creates a swap file that's why not able to mount sd card when connected to pc.
4. more smoothness should be imparted
and a bit minor issues if all these are corrected then it is a nice rom.
The miui rom for the zte blade needs some fixes until then the best choise would be miui v4 which is based on ics that version also needs some work but i am sure that it will be much more smoother than the gb version
Sent from my Nexus One using xda premium
is the video playback on ICS MIUI is smooth or not and i have also installed coldfusionX i have played a video but its not smooth.... with both s/w accel. and h/w accel. after appling the given video patch also.
plzzz help
dont expect it to be smooth in ics miui till it is fixed in its rom base (which is coldfusion ics).

HTC Desire Fanboy wants to boost girlfriends Galaxy S - need advices

Hi guys,
i know that Thread is kind of lazy but my girlfriends Galaxy S1 (Stock 2.3 ROM not rooted) is soooo damn slow and i wanna help her with a new ROM,Kernel etc...
Myself is using the newest ICS Release on my HTC Desire but i readed and informed me everyday for best performance.
At the HTC Desire topic im very well-informed but the Samsung topic is extremly new for me...so only thing i did : Stock 2.2 to Stock 2.3
(Kies is bull**** xD ?!?!)
I would like to root my girlfriends Droid but i dont know which ROM or Kernel should i chose...there are sooo much.
Because of that...guys: Whats the best, smoothest and especially stable ROM (especially for girls^^) whatever Gingerbread or ICS...i think JB is not smooth enough like on Desire :/ (too much issues etc)
It would be pretty if someone could help me so that i can boost the performance of my girlfriends phone on the best and stable way.
THX
Try stock android 2.3.6 ZSJW4. Root it with CF Root and she will be fine. Very stable and smooth with no bugs. Yoy can find it on Sammobile.com
For Gingerbread I recommend the Samsung stock roms, which are pretty stable.
See this thread for official GB firmwares from Samsung (includes also a guide for flashing stock roms with Odin).
See this thread for CF-Root, a basic rooted kernel for stock GB roms (it's the stock kernel with added su binary, SuperUser app and CWM recovery).
See this thread for Semaphore, an extended kernel for stock GB roms.
I only tried Cyanogenmod 9 as ICS rom so I can't recommend any other ICS rom, but CM9 is pretty stable (I'm using RC2 atm and have no big problems). To install CM9 or other ICS based roms, you need to install CF-Root or Semaphore first (through Odin), to get CWM recovery.
thx guys, but
@ c_codrut: i don't think that TouchWiz is a good choice...because its still boring and slowly
@stbenz: thanks for your informations, i will look at this. But im intrest about the CM9 Stuff on Galaxy S
I also use CM9 for my desire but its not officially supported...its an ROM from xda (DK-Zero) and its know very stable and without any big issues.
But i used it since 2012/04..and at this time it was very buggy...no mic no camera etc...for me no problem but for her xD not acceptable^^
But my problem is that myself can fix problems on my device and can live with it...but i dont want that my girlfriend need help with every update or something else...she should use the ROM as an almost stable and for daily-usable ROM.
I know that i should or could test it but its not my device and i couldn't walk all day with it^^ (hope you understand this )
It would be cool, if see could use ICS by CM or what about the AOKP ? (i missed that for my desire :/)
So best thing would be a almost stable ICS ROM....i/she dont need that Samsung UI i guess.
CM9 RC2 (from 2012-07-19) or the Nightly (from 2012-08-07) ?
or what about AOKP (Milestone 6) ?
cm9 + latest devil kernel :highfive:
AOKP milestone 6, semaphore 1.3.0s kernel. Fast, stable and she‘ll have unicorns.

Try Cm9 Rc2 very stable
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
With cm9 all hardware works except for fm radio. Some are reporting, that the latest nightlies are more stable than rc2, but thats most likely because bugfixes for bugs reported for rc2 are already merged to the nightlies. But I also think we are not far away from the next rc/final version, so if you don't want to flash too often, you could wait for the next rc/final version.

This guy knows what he is saying. Use CM9 RC2 and Devil Kernel and you got yourself a blazingly fast winner!
ok, guys THX!!!
i will start with CM9RC2...was my favorite anyway
And when i update the ROM ...does it works like on Desire (wiping cache and dalvik) installing newest RC or Nightly?
Or the Kernels needs often to be update?
Hey, I am using this ROM and I can only say it is extremely good, a real revelation after using Froyo and GB. I had some issues with CM9 but it was also great and superfast. i9000 with ICS is like a completely new phone!
Hope this helped a bit.

The kernel gets flashed every time you install an update, so if you have an alternative kernel, you have to flash it again every time you flash a new CM9 version. You also have to flash gapps after every update.
Girls will like MIUI ROM. Its beautiful and have custom theme... try it out.

Eww iPhone look
Cm9 and aokp have themes engine too

Hi guys...im back and finished my work
I rooted with Odin and hopefully with the correct Kernel. After that i made a NAND-Backup.
So i wiped everything and flashed CM9 RC2 and the Gapps...and everything was smooth and cool
But so far i didn't flashed the devilkernel yet...the CM-kernel seems ok.
So my question whats the Pros and Cons of the Devil-kernel compared to the CM-builtin-Kernel?
I think batterylife is important than extreme power and high batteryloss, i guess for her ^^
BTW: To make CM more female, i installed a pink theme and a pink clock widget for my girlfriend, she's happy now
And again guys...THANKS...it was very interesting to flash and root an other device (brand) and i saw the differences, Pros and Cons!
In my opinion Rooting on desire was easier and not needed as much informations and readings ^^
I hope she get no big problems but i not averse to work on her device too^^
And im jealous that her ROM runs so stable...on Desire its also stable but the Videocam doesnt work ...damn :crying: (very choppy)
But there isn't a official CMsupport or 100% HWA
i don't know about the devils kernel, but i can definitely recommend the ICS semaphore kernel http://forum. xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468795
just remove the spaces.
using the smartassV2 govenor, etc, my phone's battery lasts about a day longer than it did on the cm9 kernel
Ok, i also use this governor on my desire and an extra sleep state governor
...the smartass v2 rocks !!!!

edit: CM9 stable is now out. So that's a no brainer.
http://get.cm/?device=galaxysmtd&type=stable
woooow nice THX...but lol...i finished my work 2 days before xD
So is it possible to flash the stable Version over the RC2?without any negative aspects?!
The update process is like desire? wiping Cache and dalvik an flash the New Version?
Sry for these noob question but i want a good running system for my girl and cannot test the system many days like on my device
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
You just flash the stable over RC2, flash the google apps, and that's it. No need to wipe anything. If in doubt, make a nandroid backup before flashing.

I recommend

Hi guys. To those of you who wants to shift from GB to ICS I want to recommend this set up. Nothing fancy but has less to no bugs and with an awsome performance.
This set up is for R800i.
1.) Firmware
Use ftf .62
2.) Custom Kernel
Flash Lupus ICS (ICS beta based)
3.) Custom Rom
Flash Sechko_JJ's Hybrid Rom
(stable, clean and amazingly fast)
Touchpads and Games run well on this rom too
That' all LOL. I've tried most of the popular roms for R800i and got fed up with the bugs and low ram availability. Try these out =) you guys wont regret it.

Very nice, not sure if it would help R800x users like me but I trust your recommendation!
Yeah sorry I can't recommend any set up for the other versions of the Play. Just wanted to share this and maybe someone might find this helpful. I just got tired of switching between roms. I've tried MIUI, Mark's roms and all of Sechkos ports. For the record all the roms that I mentioned are nice and they work well, but my current set up works great for me. I hope someone will try this and like this set up like I do. =)
Btw im new to all this rooting, flashing and all that hehe. I'm still learning. I think im already hooked to the forums and modding my play now LOL.

Want to install custom rom. plz help

i want to install custom ginger bread or ics rom on my xperia x10. i want stable rom. can anyone help me with this...
Begin with rooting your device, its pretty easygoing.. there are ample guides for.it! And then get a custom recovery once u do all this the rock solid rom is to be chosen, for me its wolfbreak if you are absolutely sure about safeplay and if some tweaks and real cool rom is that you want i would suggest feralab V 20! Do a bit of searching! And ya for fera rom you might need to unlock bootloader for this too.... Ohh ya begin with installing flashtool on your pc and just follow few guides you will rock in few days! Do search!!
Sent from my Xperia X10 using xda app-developers app
"Flashtool". It is all you need!
And a Rom... If you only want a faster rom that looks like stock gb.... head over for leaf rom.
If you want something new, try a dixperia (7 or 8, but 7 seems to me to be the better one), for performance and a lot to play around try m&m team cm7.2, for gaming wolfs gaming rom and for th Ultimate Over kill bombastic Rom choose Feralab ICS v2! By the way its cm9.2 and i use it right now .
But i recommend to start on a gingerbread rom.
At last if your keen on style and looks try cosmicUI, a MIUI port, its unbeatable in looks and theming.

If you dont care about garanty than the easiest way is to download and install flashtool, download doomkernel to "firmwares" folder of flashtool. Then enable "usb debugging" in your phone (settings- apps- development) and put it on your pc, wait till flashtool recohnizes your phone, then click on "plugins" in flashtool and "unlock bootloader", wait till it finished and click flash, choose flashmode and then the doomkernel. After that youll have Root, X- and clockwordmodrecovery and a custom kernel on that you can flash any stock based rom, e.g. dixperia 7 avenger

I find DonutHD to be the best of both worlds. Its smooth, stable, and shire as hell faster than CM 7.2. Oh and bro tip use doomkernel!
Sent from my X10i using xda app-developers app
ya, man, stay away from all, ya, iean all , ics rom. they cannot meet your criteria of stability.
just stick to gingerbread.
great gingerbread roms are:
donuthd
feralab JAF
focus on this 2.
for kernel, great kernels are:
ferakernel
doomkernel (medium overclocked one)
thats all you need for npw.
if you like some adventure later on, you could try flashing ics rom . as said before, ics roms are all not stable.
however, you could see some new features.
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
sorry bro but currently I am at feraICS v2.2 and its as stable as donut hd.... i tried both and so I can really say that, dunno what you did.
But forvthe first Timevit is really better to flash a gingerbread Rom and at the moment x10 doesnt really need ics brcause all one need is running on gingerbread as well, probably better, and it has more free ram too. but that doesnt mean at all that ics isnt stable.
