Hello all.
I have a LG Optimus L3 E400 v10g-NOV-16-2012 and I am trying to get root access to it in order to install CWM Recovery and Cyanogenmod on it.
I have tried the following methods:
Dan Rosenberg
SuperOneClick 2.3.3
For both methods, I install latest LG USB drivers for PC (Windows 8 64-bit), extract the SIM card and SDCard, plug in the USB cable and select "Software-PC", go to Settings-->Applications-->Development and turn on "USB debugging mode", and the either run the "run.bat" or the "SuperOneClick.exe" in administrator mode.
But after several reboots, the Dan Rosenberg method shows several fails on the screen, as it shows the picture:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And after runing the SuperOneClick, it gets the "Not responding" message after the second reboot in the line "Waiting for device" (I have left it for several hours):
Is there any other valid method I could try? Am I doing something wrong? Is the 10g firmware rootable on the E400?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Maybe I should try with a XP 32-bit OS? Or in other words, has anyone successfully rooted the E400 with a W7/W8 4-bit OS?
If so, I will try to do it via VMWare.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot! I will try it right now, and leave it a comment.
I tried the previous methods this evening with a Windows XP 32-bit with no success by the way.
It worked!
Now I have flashed CWM Recovery along with CM9-Nightly and flashing the rest of apps to it
Thanks a lot again!
No problem and thanks for confirmation.

Is SuperOneClick 1.7 working better than 2.3.3 for this device?
NOPE

I solved this crash problem with checking Windows XP on compatibility of KDZ Updater (right click and properties).
I flashed the phone, but got logo loop, impossible to start the phone, so i did a hard reset and it worked perfectly.
Thanks all for your support

How can i root my asus zenfone 5 tooj without pc
Firstly i am using this TOOL
I did a factory reset on my phone and settings > developer options > screen lock is off, enable oem unlock is on and USB debugging is on. When i go to the bootloader the "PHONE Locked" text is STILL green!
The tool shows this when i try to unlock the bootloader, the text "FRP Unlock" is red.
Try to unlock it via fastboot. Reboot your phone to bootloader mode, connect it to pc, open fastboot on pc and type in
fastboot oem unlock (and type here your unlock code without brackets)

Do you have the correct drivers installed? Is it at least recognised in windows device manager?

It seems that it's installed correctly. Even if you type "fastboot devices" in fastboot, it isn't recognised?

Your problem isn't in adb mode. It is in fastboot mode that probably you have corrupted drivers. (like kedacom usb device).
So you need to correct it, look these pictures and try to update software drivers manually (don't reed text cause in italian but it's the same process):
1) http://prnt.sc/d0t8m1
2) http://prnt.sc/d0t9ui
3) http://prnt.sc/d0ta8h
4) http://prnt.sc/d0tatf
It looks like this now https://imgur.com/a/oRzoO, when i type fastboot into CMD it comes up with a bunch of stuff so its correctly installed. fastboot isnt recognising my phone.

Hi folks,
Did LGUP flashing stopped midway and left your device soft bricked? Using this simple tip you can revive your device.
Here is the procedure,
Download and install LG drivers and LG BRIDGE
Boot your phone in download mode while connecting to PC
LG Bridge should detect your phone
Now goto "Software update" section
Right hand side to the bottom of the UI, you will find "update error recovery", click on it
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Follow the instructions, it will do the rest and restore your phone to working condition.
Hope this simple technique helps you to revive your soft bricked LG G5.
i try to make this today, after i got the nougat update i try to rollback with LGUP and i got the brick it does not boot just load to firmware upgrade all the time try to boot to bootloader could not make anything there since i have the h830. the LG Bridge detect the device true USB but does not make any changes.... after few sec it desconnected says remove the usb and plug again. in the botton dont to the left says no device connected , i am in the firmeware update and not possible to stop loading this if i reboot the device. any idea how to stop booting to the firmware update...
"antirollback is activated" so its impossible to return back to android 6 MM.

This is probably driver issue, remove LGUP, drivers and all the LG software including registery entries. Then install LG driver and LG Bridge, your device should get detected by LG Bridge.

my internal memory I formatted but LG Bridge say Your Phone is up to date.
thx for help
I have not touched this phone in a year, so forgive me if im rusty.
I embarked on a project of compiling slimroms 7.1.2 for this device a year ago, and made a rom that made it onto the device. Now, Here is my mistake. At the time when i built the rom, the nougat bootloader for this device was not out yet(i think, as my bootloader is on a0.4d aka dated 2016-11-30) Giddy that i had finally built a custom rom that worked, i hurriedly flashed the device through the recovery(twrp at the time) and thats when the issues happened. The device will not charge past 1 percent, and in an effort to fix, without knowing that my outdated bootloader was the issue, i decided that installing stock recovery was the best option. BIG MISTAKE. as i now cannot flash anything in recovery. i keep getting signature verification failures and what not.
With that backstory out of the way, here is my issue. I cannot flash anything in fastboot, because when i connect the device to windows i get
Code:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed.
Yes i have updated the drivers and when i install the motorola drivers manually i get this:
Code:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed.
this is the single most thing that is keeping me from reviving this device. I have tried using linux, but the device just doesnt show up. I have tried multiple usb cables. so i know thats not the issue. any help would be very appreciated.
UPDATE: i have done some digging around and no loader files are working. (using a 32gig class 10 microsd). Also, It is on stock recovery so i cannot flash anything other than stock images, which if i am correct, none are recovery flashable, only the otas are. When i try to flash an ota it doesnt work because it is expecting stock apps in system, which are not there since i am on a slimrom rom.
TLDR: i have stock bootloader and recovery, (24.49-18-8/4) but have a non rooted slimrom 7.1.2 which shows up in windows as get device descriptor failed(unknown device). if there was a way to root slimrom 7.1 without usb and with stock recovery that would help alot.

I don't know what happened to your PC. But it is successfully installed here. The worst problem we (mosy of us) had met was error 9008. If your phone cannot be solved by this way, I'm sorry that I can't help much!

its quite alright. i think that i bricked the phone while trying to use an unsupported bootloader, therefore bricking the mainboard
Its noones fault but my own, so i will chalk this one up to a loss lol
