Hello everyone,
Sorry if this is a stupid question. Did quite a bit of searching and can't seem to find the answer.
Is there a way to determine what the stock modem is (potentially in *#0011#?), and where to download that modem so I can re-flash it?
Thanks,
Brett

My apologies... that's my fault.
I have the I337 (AT&T), 32gb if it matters. I did see that thread... but what confused me was the CWM in the file name, which made me think it was a modified modem for clockwork recovery mod.
My device is completely stock... not even rooted. I flashed it with ODIN to the most recent PDA revision (L). Played around with the network unlock and what not, but my OCD is taking over and I just want to flash the modem back to stock with ODIN.

My apologies. I more so focused on not posting in one of the developer threads and completely overlooked the 'question' one.
Looks like the modem wasn't what I was after, nor did I realized the modem was automatically flashed with reflashing the firmware. I reflashed the 'L' revision of our firmware via Odin and say 'modem.bin' flashed as one of the steps automatically.
I guess what I was trying to restore to default was what I changed with the SIM unlock and enabling the AWS, but I know all I changed with the SIM unlock was the one 'off' setting and NV restore as per golden backup. Then I simply reflashed the (QCC or NV) file I backed up as per one of the steps in the AWS enable thread... and that's good enough for me.
Thanks everyone for your help.

Hi mate have you tried flashing the stock firmware back to you'r tab ?
you ment to post this thread here.
forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=752
you could of read the guide before posting this
GUIDE] Recover your IMEI in 9 steps.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1264021
this worked for me
What i did to get my IMEI back was to get the ATT or T mobile modem and just use ODIN (boot into that downloading screen) and install it in the PDA section (the modem zip file)
and it was good too cgo
I was even having some issues with stalled screens and so and that cleared up as well
If I had done this before attempting to flash the stock rom I might of been able to save friend files
But oh well

No, no, thank you for bumping a thread from July 2012 to give misguided advice about an irrelevant device.

Misguided to you? and irrelevant to whom?

I used this method to unlock the bootloader. What can I do now? Are there any recommended mods? Also, what is this about google roms and aosp?
Mods? help me out here, what rom are you running? I think you are talking roms correct?
So you have loki installed, and you are rooted. Are you wanting to try a custom rom.
I am lost here, talk to us.

okay, i read the noob guide. thanks for the link. What does a ROM do if you install it?
Hello all,
Have been reading this forum for a long time and it has helped me out many times in the past and for that I am grateful to you all. I am relatively new to the s4 but I have a galaxy tab and am comfortable with flashing and using command line utilities and all the goodies that come along with them. (Toooo comfortable lol).
My dilemma is as follows. I stupidly moved some "bloat" apps from system to user and forgot before I was forced to do a factory restore. Now certain items such as optical reader and other apps are gone. I have looked for the carrier specific rom from fido but can not find it. Could someone please point me in the proper direction?
Also what's the most stable and functional rom that can dual boot for the sgh-i337m.?
Thanks in advance.
R

Thanks for your reply. Any ideas on where to get the files for fido for odin? Or am I missing something. Still relatively new to this world, ios was my main domain still figuring things out here.

Go to sammobile.com. You have to register but it's free. They'll have the stock firmware specific to your device and carrier.

Thanks for the help. Exactly what i was looking for. How do I thank you on the forum?
Also which rom is the most stable with working components(wifi, camera, etc), can dual boot and that has a kernel that supports force ac charge.

There is a thanks button. IDK the answer to your other question. I don't have an s4.
I've done a search and the threads that came up were a bit old and did not provide an answer.
I have a AT&T S4 and looking to sell it and would like to put everything back to stock. Currently when it boots up, you get the unlocked padlock icon on the splash screen. I am looking to get rid of that. Can anyone point me to a method or thread to cover that?
Thank you and sorry if I missed it already listed.
I do not know the answer but I do know that there is a subforum specifically for questions.
That being said, don't you just flash stock firmware with Odin?

Hi!:fingers-crossed:
1 Whats better, flash modem with bootloader or without bootloader?
2 All must be same number? number of bootloader and number of the modem? because i have a mdc baseband and my build have a custom name, i dont know my real build and i dont know my bootloader is.
3 Wich kind of android version i need to flash, what i need to think first? example.....If im in version 4.4.2 with nae baseband...
4 Wich rom you recomend me if i come from 4.4.2 with nae baseband?
Thanks in advance for your answers!

Have either of you read any of the forum rules. Researching your own before along questions that are already answered will always be ignored. First you need to know what a modem is. It's your baseband. Bootloader comes with the stock rom. You can choose to have different bootloader and baseband and rom all in one. You can have mdc baseband on mf9 bootloader on nae rom. Get a phone info app from the store to learn what your phone has.
That is the problem, i read first BUT always have some questions. If you go to the university you need a Profesor right? Anyway you have allllllll books in your hands. I have a NAE baseband but when try to downgrade to MK2 The volumen die. I read what that is impossible to downgrade NAE to any other modem in whatever rom version but i want stay sure. Also find and read the coments in so many roms and im not sure what is better for me.....if you know wich rom is better for my device thanks for advance! AGAIN thanks for teach this ignorant student in all!

Wow. Keep your flame suits on. You're going to need then. Literally EVERY question asked here is answered in these forums. Every single one. Including the one you're told NOT to ask. Google is your friend too. Being snarky about people not spoon feeding you probably won't help either.
