Most decent slow motion recording software will nto work on our nexus, at least not int he way you expect, the s4 has hardware designed to do this, the nexus 4 does not. Hardware makes all the difference.

Actually the galaxy s3 and note2 have slow and fast motion mods since stock 4.1.2
As for nexus4, i'm sorry, not gonna happen

I think what he's saying is that this feature exists in ICS for the Galaxy Nexus but not for the Nexus S....

Is there any news on a port for touch to focus?

I am missing this feature too.
Any idea why no third-party camera app does this? Is it OS level stuff so it can not be enabled simply by app?

Dropbox gallery intergration illusion of extra 50gb

Anyone know how we can do this.
Would like dropbox files to be in stock gallery without having to copy to sd card giving the illusion of having an extra 50 gb.

Bump folks. I think this could solve a big issue

This was built into the galaxy note 2 for the couple days that I had it. I have been looking for a way to do this ever since. This would be very much appreciated if someone could figure it out.
So note 2 gallery app supports this? Wonder if it works on the i9300 port

Yeah I'm not sure if it was the gallery app itself or in guessing part of touch wiz. I have a titanium backup of every gn2 app. I'll install it on nexus and see what happens
I just tried the port of the note 2 gallery and camera for the sgs3 and it didnt have this feature

Video camera (auto)focus not available

Hey again XDA,
I know the nexus 4 is capable of focusing the camcorder for macro and other shots. However, for some reason, on cm 10.1.2 and .33 radio I don't get this option. Does anyone have any success on other radios/bootloaders or has dealt with this issue? Thanks very much.

You mean't Camera, Camcorder records video.
This could be either an issue with the camera application or it is missing from the application.

I meant video. S3 has a feature to actively focus on whatever is happening (automatic focus).

Well the Nexus 4 doesn't have such thing but you can attempt to get the S3 Camera but it may cause issues (gallery is joined to camera).

Oh OK. Does it have regular focus on the camcorder then? For me its just infinite focus, not controllable at all.

Unfortunately the user really has no control unless you record when the device is in the best focus.

This can't be right..

Use lgcamera app. The camcorder recording gives you touch to focus control. I read someone say it reduces the quality but i didnt notice any frame drop or reduction in quality.

GALAXY S4 Camera App

Hey there,
I'm using samsung galaxy s4 i9505 with 4.3 AOSP
I was woundering if there is any possibilty to flash the original galaxy s4 camera app
Thank you

Unfortunately, not at the moment.
I believe the camera relies on TouchWiz framework for it to work.
Someone was able to somewhat port the S3 camera to 4.2.2 (Found this Google searching) but other than that, nothing..
Man, Galaxy S4 Camera is WAAAAAY better the thE AOSP camera app

Yep I agree which is why I can't move to aosp /CM roms. Currently I'm using a hybrid rom called blackbox, it's TW base with aosp features and styling.

Hi.
I was wondering if anyone has come across a camera app similar in functionality to the stock s4 camera?
I'm looking to jump to aosp and this is the only thing holding me back....
