Disclaimer - I've tried running a few searches and haven't found the answer to the question so I apologize if it's stupid.
When looking at the Storage information under settings, it shows that my internal storage is partitioned into regular Internal Storage of 748 MB and Internal storage: /mnt/emmc of 6.46 GB. This is causing space issues for when I try to install some apps and I don't recall this originally being the case. Is there a way to combine those two partitions? If so, please point me into the right directon.
I'm rooted and running the latest CM7 nightlies build.
Thanks
OK... nevermind. I'm an idiot. Just ran a google search and discovered that it's not a bug, it's a feature.
Juat the way the phone is setup. My friends htc aria showed the same.
Hello members.
I just found a strange issue that I have started facing lately whenever I try to flash a custom ROM on my Defy.
Current stock ROM was 2.2.2
I rooted it and tried This ROM. After flashing it I realized my Proximity sensor stopped working after sometime and my memory card was out of space according to my cell though Astro and ES explorer could access it and I could play music too but my cell still said that Available memory was 0 ( It had 1GB free memory )
Then I changed the ROM to 2.3.7 posted by Quarx hoping it would solve my issue but I had same 2 issues again.
My stock ROM is working perfectly and is not showing any issues. Please tell me what do I do ?
I want to use custom ROMs real bad :3

1) after taking the nandroid backup of ur stock rom .. clear the cache from stock recovery..
2) then u come to custom recovery (via CWM) and wipe data/factory reset and than u install CM7 and flash Gapps .. then wipe cache & dalvik cache ...Reboot
i think u wont be having any problem after doing this..
Cheers
I have the sbf file of the Stock Rom so thats not an issue. I did try the steps you told me to follow but I had the same problems ! Dont know whats causing it.

HELP! My p5100 only shows 1.97 gb of Memory instead of 16gb
Before all of this happened I flashed a few aokp's but I wasn't impressed by the aokp so I returned to stock rom but when I tried to update my FIFA 12. It said that I need more space so when I checked my storage in settings it only showed 1.97 gb. Please reply and help me ASAP.
I'm just a 14 year old guy. Please Help me. :crying:
Well its because it leaves stuff behind what you'll have to do is format your SD but first backup your stock to and external SD card so you can return back to stock and have no problems

LuckyPatcher.apk , but you need to find someway to get it to your external SdCard, and install from a file manager with root permission.

maybe you have a 2gb sdcard and you swapped it .
and i'm a 12 years old guy.
Maybe u have so many apps...
And the downloaded aokp roms will consume memory so delete it if u dont wanna flash it..
And im 12 too
You should see the gallery and picasa app sync. Sometimes Picasa or other app like Drop box or other app, download all the photos and that`s why your internal memory it looks full.
Hello i use [JB][28-12-2012] CyanogenMod 10 for Motorola Milestone 2 (Android 4.1.2) this rom becomes slow milestone stock in a modern and fast!
but I have a problem, I noticed that the photos taken, it applications can be installed in the internal memory. It is not seen as memory archive. Why is that? Confirm?
Usually on the smartphone's internal memory is seen as external memory of the masses "sdcard" does not happen here and therefore does not create the folder "Android / App"; problem of the phone or the ROM?

I'm using the same rom too, and according to command "df" most of the 8g internal mermory is dedicated to /data. Guess there are some limitations on hardware for not allowing mount the internal memory as an internal "sdcard" directory. Some one can confirm this?
Good day bros,
I've just installed miui rom 2.3.7 and I noticed after installing few apps, low phone storage message showed up.
then I checked the internal storage it has 105 mb in total and 7 mb free.
I have tried moving some apps to SD but most of the apps I have cannot be moved.
Can someone please direct me to solve this problem?
Thanks a lot
Try using DataOnExt, flash after flashing a ROM.
