Download the baseband radio here:

Problem with 4.2.2 and the .33 baseband

I'm on stock 4.2.2 and stock kernel.
I noticed that when I'm on the .33 baseband, I can make phone calls but there is no call volume. (Not able to hear anything as if the in-call volume is muted)
When on .48 this problem doesn't exist.
Had anybody found a solution to this? I would like to retain LTE functionality.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
Maybe .33 baseband is not compatible with 4.2.2?
I am on Rogers in Canada and do not have this issue.
I am on 4.2.2 Stock with the .33 radio and I just tested this out.
LTE is working and I just made and received a call and we had no problems hearing each other.
Your post greatly concerns me but I can't back it up.
Have you tried it with the old bootloader as well?
Flash back to the 4.2.1 radio
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
The .33 radio is the 4.2.1 radio.
Anyone else have this issue before I go back to .33?

"Official"? LOL.
The whole point of having an entire "Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting" sub-forum is to be able to post distinct threads for each issue so that no one has to wade through hundreds of unrelated posts in a single thread looking for an answer to their question.
Trying to decrease the usefulness of XDA in order to karmawhore is not cool.

I have only tried the radios. .48 (it works but breaks lte) and .33.
Where can I find the .33 matching boot loader?

I should have been more specific. Is the boot loader from 4.2.1 the boot.IMG file? Or is there a different file I'm looking to extract and push?

It'll be the one with the mostly gibberish name. I can't check exactly at the moment though.

Only the .48 radio atm causes no problem with 4.2.2 afaik. This is how Google/LG intended it to prevent LTE trafficing. So you either have LTE and a lot of issues or no LTE and no problems, your choice
You can always roll back to 4.2.1 to keep LTE.
Is LTE selection in the hidden menu controlled by the kernel or the boot loader?
I ask because it would be nice if kernel developers could re enable that feature on the .48 kernel.

Unable to hear anything in a phone call.

Hi all,
love my Nexus 4 to bits but in the past few days I have not been able to hear anything whether I am making or receiving a phone call.
thought it might be a hardware issue but Viber and other apps is working...
i factory resetted the phone but it has not resolved the issue since...
add to the pain LG is refusing to have it serviced in Singapore.
could it be the update to 4.2.2 from 4.2.1 that is causing the problem?
have googled but no one seems to having same issues like me.

What does kitkat baseband means?

I tryed google but still didn't got clear answer and problam is i flashed my rom before flashing it, but instructions said to flash kk baseband first then rom.
Sorry I'm noob.

So far as i know you can also flash after the rom baseband but there would be some issues then, modem is like your modem in your home it receives data and also sends it for sensors, wifi, cellular etc.
Kk baseband download link: download the d802 one
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=12880
Doesn't matter that you are a noob, after a long time in android and forums here you will not be an noob anymore but an experienced user
Thanks for help

Hello everyone
Sorry if this mentioned before, but I've tried everything, and still can't connect to WiFi..
Grand 2 G7102, running 4.4.2
Tried factory reset, flashing different stock roms, flashing 4 files ROM.
Also tried flashing fix files in AP.
Tried flashing another modem CP file.
Tried root and erasing efs.
All didn't work, it connects sometimes, but most of time don't.
Please can you tell me about solution?

'K bro let me figure out what's the situation. Tell me how & when exactly did this happen. After you flashed a new rom or some update or something. Also which rom and all you've flashed in the past before and after wifi issues started????
Sent from my SM-G800H using Tapatalk
Actually I can't tell cause I got it used, it was with stock official 4.4.2
It worked sometimes, most of time not, or just gave a fake WiFi Signal..like it says it's connected, but actually no Internet.
So I Flashed another stock official rom via Odin, got same results, then I tried flashing some fixes I found around the Internet, the ones you put in PDA and flash, it worked for sometime then stopped..
Rooted and tried deleting efs, no luck.
Lastly I Flashed 4 Files factory ROM 4.4.2 with its pit file.. It didn't work.
Of course I've tried it on other routers..
So no matter what I do it stays on "Saved, Secure"
It's really weird thing as Bluetooth and Hotspot are both working..
Sent from my SM-N910H using XDA-Developers mobile app
Don't get me wrong but in your first post you said "different stock ROMs" later you said "another official stock ROM", dude as far as I know there's only one stock ROM for every device, it may have different Android versions like 4.3 or 4.4

Okay so let me tell you what happened with me was something similar issue.
I flashed the GeNxt N4 rom and after that it is instructed to flash Deds kernel but cwm is buggy and it behaves weirdly so you cannot return to recovery to flash kernel and rom withing the same boot into recovery without reboot.
So i changed roms but to my surprise i had wifi issues in all of 'em. So i used philz recovery and flashed N4 rom with the Deds kernel and finally fixed.
So maybe yours the same case. The previous owner did something similar and wifi issue could'nt fix so he gave to you.

Do on Gennxt. Cuz what i think is the problem is previously this rom was maybe flashed on your device without Deds kernel as you say someone else used it before and the bug is showing up on every rom since it was not fixed.
Again i am just trying to guess what the problem is. Hope it helps
