When google says something, we'll know, and we'll likely be one of the first to get it being a Nexus device and all.

You'll have to wait until the new GE edition phones are launched. Also 4.3 will have to be made for those phones which will delay the release.

I also read somewhere that it's coming out on the 20th. Will we need to flash back to stock kernel if we update to 4.3? I'm guessing that it'll flash a new kernel along with the rom, but I just wanted to make sure.

Hmm the GE phones when will be relased?

I am from India. Just traded back my Note and got Blue S3 on 14th July. This is the second update I had in 2 days. First one was around 9MB.
whats th euse of flashing LFB modem over LF3 ..any advantage?
Newer modem, it's DD not XX. Old modems don't work on LFB and it's better than the LFB modem

Are you sure you're actually on Samsung-Stock and not some carrier-branded ROM? It might be hard to notice, but please provide your CSC/Modem/ROM info.
Just flash the newer ROM through Odin and welcome to the next generation
I've given up waiting for official releases a long time ago.
probebly shipped firmware to LF2 with 9 mb update, and LF2 to LFB with 74 mb update.
OP is literate to open a thread but cant he just write down his firmware version here, after updating.
I have attached the screenshot after update. Let me know if you need more information.
This is official ROM & no modifications done.

This all means Jelly bean is not close to being released if samsung are still updating ics 4.04.
Yes it confirmed 4.0.4 ICS, but it is more stable with strong WIFI Signa ( get full page of round WIFI). and Bluetooth sensivity.
i can give + plus 4 on this I9300XXBLG8_I9300DBTBLG6_I9300XXLG8.

Running the li5 leak suggests Samsung have pretty much nailed a stable jellybean Rom, maybe some minor things to fix I haven't noticed, but they are close.

Changes I noticed so far:
exfat SD cards work now
snotes has vertical scroll bar (can't say with certainty I didn't have it before)
snotes has a landscape template (can't say with certainty I didn't have it before)
the bug when you hit home button and the keyboard would open ip along with a folder on your desktop seems to be gone

There's really no such thing as "the" update. Samsung's update naming and regional release schedule is screwy. "New" updates in one region can have build dates that are older than updates released earlier in other regions. I have a Brazilian Note and it's on the original shipping s/w built in July while some regions in the EU are on their third update. Don't try and figure it out it'll only give you a headache.

"Samsung and Verizon Wireless is pleased to announce a new software update, SU1 SW Version, I915VRBMA3, for your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. This update includes an upgrade to the Android Operating System 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).

This update will address the following:
OS upgrade to Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)"

How can we get the OTA link to download it manually ourselves?
brilliant! Will start on getting a rooted stock ROM out tonight!
i just checked for the update on my device and it's not finding it. do i have to be on wifi?
I'm on lte and found it. Downloading it now. Best bet would be wait for a rooted version so we don't have people getting re-locked.
Im having some issues. Gonn bring beanstown in on it

shouldnt be too hard.. we just need to be purely stock with root and unlocked bootloader.. also need twrp.. if anyone can get me the update.zip it would be fantastic.. and also do we have a pure stock ics tar file.. not the leaked one
if someone on pure stock can wait to take the ota it would help immensely and we wont have all the problems they had the last time.. unless i can get it to work

im going to go with you got that message due to flashing a 4.4.3 rom then going back to a 4.4.2. rom. im pretty sure when you get a real update it always says are you ready to update to kit kat 4.4.3 or something like that. but i could be wrong. this is just going off of memory, and the fact that you look like you have a custom rom on the phone.

But since i have been going from AOSP custom roms almost every week I never got this until now. I did read about this bug in CM though. Sorry guys false alarm.
