Isn't the first one SDXC, and not MICRO sdxc?
I'm not sure about the Sandisk card. I read alot of forum and people complain about sandisk card being fried and all that. I'm using Samsung brand.

All of the one's i posted were SDXC.

SDXC is SD Xtended Capacity). SDXC cards come in sizes of 32GB or higher higher,
While the class 2 , 4 , 6, 8, 10 gives diffnt speed while reading and writing on the card
other way higher the class faster the transfer speed and best for higher video resolution and data transfer
Hope this helps

Of course they are. All microSD cards with capacity larger than 4GB are SDHC (those with capacity larger than 32 GB are SDXC). Since i5800 supports microSD cards with cappacity greater than 4GB (up to 32GB if I am not wrong) it implies that i5800 supports SDHC (and besides that it is written in specs ).
Since the communication protocol for SD,SDHC,SDXC,SDIO are different from each other, i just wanted to check before spending some bucks to buy it Thanks Tom!

SDIO is something different. It is protocol for "non-memory" devices using SDCARD format (like modems, ethernet adapters). I dont know of any such device in microSD size, only "full SD".
SDXC, SDHC and SD are verticaly compatible, meaning that SDXC capable device may read/write SDHC and SD also, and SDHC capable device may read/write SD.
Warning: i5800 is compatible with SDHC, but it is not compatible with SDXC!
So if you find 32 GB microSD(HC/XC) check first that it is SDHC, not SDXC! SDXC cards are usually from 64GB above, but I think that there is 32GB versions on the market too.

I have a 16gb sd card. I recommend 16 gb because 32 gb are just too expensive, and I don't even know what you would do with 32 gb on a g3, except for lossless audio playback. Watch out for their class tho, bigger cards are almost always slower.

fault is caused by SanDisk memory cards ... for every one with sandisk sdcards!

Hi
This is some thing I have found not sure if its been posted but if not all should read if you have a sandisk card in you note or any Samsung device.
This maybe s reason to strange problems.

" The problem affects "a very small percentage of 32GB and 64GB SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSD cards," says the memory card manufacturer. Various forums have reported the problem, including the*official SanDisk forum."Under certain circumstances the cards may lock up and the card becomes inaccessible," SanDisk continues, adding, "the issue has been identified and a manufacturing fix has already been put in place."

Yeah, move along- nothing to see here.
I've got 3 each of the SanDisk 32 and 64GB SD-Card and have yet to have any of them fail; as others have pointed out, I guess the OP didn't see the words "small percentage of ... cards".
I don't have an issue with my 32gb micro sdhc ultra but I do have issues with 2 sandisk flash drives note being recognized in windows 7 x64 when Kies is running.

In the linked thread on CNet there are almost as many posts "complaining" about cards from other manufacturers - the most of these about Samsung cards!!
FWIW I have two Sandisk 64gb cards and they both work fine. I just take care that they have been formatted correctly.
Makes sense. I had 2 32gb class 10 SanDisk cards die in my Note 2. Switched to a 64gb Samsung class 10 & no issues.

That is exactly what happens when people don't do the research . There is 2 different cards ( I forgot exactly how to tell them apart I think one Has little I sign on the card and one don't ) One of them is Specifically designed with digital cameras in mind and another one is Specifically designed for smartphones . And people don't look at that , they look at price . Oh and don't get me started on class . People buy class 2 card because it's cheaper and they wonder why it's not recording high-def video . DOH !!

... and too bad that doesn't matter in the least for our purposes.
Sorry, but that distinction has to do with speed and power usage; ALL Micro-SD cards have to perform according to (E)MMC specs and all Linux kernels are designed to handle all versions of the spec.
brought a 32gb sandisk 3 months ago and its been fine so far, i would buy a samsung micro sd but they are much more expensive than sandisk and never in stock when i want to buy one (they must be good cards if they are always out of stock)

I bought that one and a USB 3.0 microsdxc card reader that supports UHS-1 speeds. While, the s4 will supposedly work with their own card, you won't get the higher read/write speeds on the s4, but you will on your pc.
Sort of a pain to take the card out and stick it in the usb 3 card reader, but for 64gb and you're trying to transfer large video files - may be easier, I suppose

Class number indicates how fast the read and write is. The larger the number the better.
SDHC is your standard micro sd card up to 32gb. While the SDXC can go up to 2 TB i think? Its format will also be exFat meaning it can read/store single file greater then 4gb. Not sure if SDXC exFat format is supported for S4? since S4 can read up to 64gb i assume it can read the 64gb class 10 SDXC cards. if not then you can convert it to FAT32 but it wont read a file which is greater than 4gb

Yes... unless that type is not supported by S4, i havent researched the S4 side yet. Currently im using a SDXC Class 10 64gb exFat format on my Nokia 808.
I think the packaging has the Green android robot guy with a label of Supports Android or something. I threw away my packaging but im using a Sandisk Ultra if that helps.
I cant vouch for S4 personally since i havent tried inserting it yet. Hope someone here has tried.
Thanks
Is there anyone that know for sure what is the best memory card for the s4 I9500?
I got a samsung 64gb pro class 10 sdxc. Works perfectly in my s4. Formatted the card within the phone and am able to transfer files larger than 4gb in it, so am assuming the phone formatted it to exfat.
Yea it's an option but I think I will take the 32gb, but for the 32gb I didn't find the xc model.
How is sdhc hc-1? Will it work or is there a better one that will work?

From my understanding, the Galaxy S4 will only read up to 64gb. anything higher, phone won't read it. Also, some say to be careful with the Sandisk cards as they could be difficult to work with on the S4. I have a Samsung 32gb card and it works flawessly.

Hi Guys,
I just got a Samsung 32GB plus (UHS-i) card from HK.
The read/write speed with my I9505 is 19.8MB/12.6MB, tested from SD tools.

Maybe those cards are a newer rev. or something... Wherever i check the Samsung 32gb plus UHS-1 they look like the first picture attached and the one i have is like in 2nd picture ( has an U with a 1 inside above the I marking)
The other 16gb cards i had , on the back was written designed by samsung, on this one has only some codes...
Maybe is someone here to clear this out for us, why is like this and whats the difference cause the speeds are acceptable and doesn't seem to be fake...

I just try my card on my colleague's S4 (China Unicom version, i9502).
I test three times and the result are attached. You can see that speed is much more higher. Will it be our i9505 problem itself?
