I have looked a little for an answer to this and am not finding too much. I have tmobile, running PA and when I attempt to respond to an mms with 15 recipients, the message fails and I receive a message that says "service not activated on network."
I can get the group texts, just can't reply. Is there a limit on the number of recipients? If so is there a workaround short of editing the system files?

This may or may not be an obvious question, but I do have MMS included in my plan, however today was the first time i've tried to recieve them on the 8125 and when I go to the message it says 'Downloading message', and I could also hit the 'Download' button but where does it download them to? I can't find any pictures, and I don't see a picture on the message, and the size of the message is about 32k, any ideas??

Hello everyone. I apologize if this question has been asked already.
On my "dumb" phones like LG etc. in Verizon network, I can send text message by 1,000 characters w/ extended text message. I think it sends multiple messages encoded in a special way to get past the 160 character SMS limit.
But, on my Windows Mobile devices, I can only send/receive 160 char messages, and when I receive 161+ char message, I receive a notice saying that the text message has been modified to be compatible with this device.
Why is "dumb phone" so much better to handle extended text messages but Windows Mobile cannot receive? It's a little bit oxymoronic, don't you think? Is there any way to enable extended text messaging functionality to windows mobile devices? Thanks in advance!
odd when i go over 160 it tells me that 2 sms's will be sendt maybe it's a setting
or something in your rom
I can send, but it doesn't compile them all into one single extended text message. So recipient receive many text message all at one time... they say it's annoying.
Then, if they send me extended text message, I receive 160 char, and after that.. it break away and say "extended message has been truncated due to a lack of support for enhanced messaging on this device."

Somehow I just cannot send Text (SMS) from my HTC cell.
I have configured the Web GPRS setting & the internet works, I can send MMS messages but cannot send SMS msgs. Though I can receive SMS msgs sent to me. Wierd uh..... I inserted my SIM card into another phone & I can send & receive msgs. So I know it has to do with some setting on my new HTC cell.
Can someone please shed some light on this

go to phone ,options ,services,select voicemail and text services,hit get settings...,infront of text messages service center u should c :
+1(514)993-1123 then hit ok

i did same thing but when i press Get Setting an error camout saying:
Cannot readsetting from the network.try view setting later,or disconnect data connection and try again.
retry cancel
I pressed retry many time but no way ,still coudnt send sms.
is there any manual setting we can do?????

when i try to send sms a message comput saying:
your text message cannot be sent.be certain that your service center address is correct
in settings and then try sending the message again.
any idea guys
I think it could be in some file or registry. Because wm's creators missed this option in GUI.
I have the same problem like guys above.
Maybe someone know where is this log to edit it manually. I mean SMS Service Center...

I am trying to get my TouchPro to send SMS instead of MMS. I have the phone 514 number for text message settings. I don't want to send a text and ppl who received it gets it like a MMS.

I've had my X1i for a few months now and I'm having trouble with my text messaging. When I recieve an incoming text message it displays the wrong time for some reason and when I change the order of the text messages to see the received texts first it doesn't work. When I send a text to myself it displays the correct information but it doesn't when others send me texts. Can anyone help me?

Ive had this problem for awhile now, on different roms, and its whenever i have a missed call and i receive the missed call text message from my provider (France SFR). The time in the actual message is correct but the time displayed just under the contacts name is 2hrs in advance. I dont get this same problem with normal texts.
Its annoying because then when i receive new texts, they dont show first because the aforementioned missed call sms has a timestamp which puts it as the latest received!
Ive tried changing region etc but that doesnt work. Any help is appreciated.
