Be patient. Be sure to click "Thanks" when you are done.
System Settings --> ROM Control (the AOKP interface) --> General UI --> Display/Show Menu UI Overflow

you are number 1 in xda

I like to have HALO on the left and PIE Controls on the right. I use it with KTManta and a slight CPU underclock with GPU overclock, but then I also do a lot of video watching and games on it.
Um... Dark Rootbox looks nice, other than that, real tips, just read the changelogs before updating. Some don't really add much. If you have specific questions, feel free to ask. I use RootBox with Apex Launcher for added functionality.

i dont know what is it a luncher acctualy...

Its an alternative to the launcher program RootBox uses. I BELIEVE, but am not 100% sure, RB uses "Trebuchet". This one allows overlapping of widgets, extra app drawer tabs, stuff like that.

What ROM/OS are you using.....
Once I click on Advanced/Resolution....it shows the current setting, then at the bottom there is a page scroll to view the settings and I can successfully select to my desire. If that does not work I take it you are on a custom rom maybe...possible bug

Default homescreen

Is there anyway to change your default homescreen? I really love touchwiz's customizability and app drawer but really dislike the fact that the defualt home screen is the first one.
Can anyone help?

I know it's not what you asked but stick your finger on the little numbers before the bottom layer of apps (drawer, phone, etc) and drag left and right. It'll make switching quicker and so the fact it's first won't be as annoying.
This may sound stupid, leave the default homescreen as 1 and just change what 1 is?
menu->edit or pinch to get the homescreens up and just press and hold then move the one you want as default to the 1st spot?

Not possible without rooting the device!
It's one of the reasons why I ditched TouchWiz from the first day on. I use launcher pro now because I really like the dock with three pages for all my important apps.
If you root, you can edit default.prop to change this to another default screen
Download : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=775154&highlight=homescreen&page=37
open SGS tools and go to .prop Editor and edit default.prop
#sets TouchWiz Launcher default screen
ro.csc.homescreen.defaultscreen=4
press menu and save I rebooted and it worked
(forgot to try if it's gonna work without rebooting )
enjoy

# ro.com.google.clientidbase
# defined in gms.mk

i am sure that would help alot of people, so if possible then i wouldent mind
better figure out this root then.
oh also, how do you start a new launcher, on my desire you just had to hold down the menu, and you would be able to chose it. On the samsung you just get search, if you hold down menu, so how do i launch adw launcher ? (or any other launcher)

Menu, settings, applications, manage applications. Find the TW one, and do a "clear defaults". Now tap home and it will ask you which you want.

Cm10.1 performance settings

Just flashed cm10.1 from cm10 and noticed that the performance tab in settings is no longer there... Am I missing something??? Did it get moved or removed?
Had a hard time finding it as wel after updating, but this worked for me!
Tyler83 said:
Yes, it's integrated as of the last updates. It switches directly by touching the icon and it doesn't bring you to the settings
Quick settings works and you can also change the i/o scheduler, I just did it. If you don't see the performance section under "System Settings" you have to enable it by touching 7 times in a row the "build number", which is the last item in the "Phone Info" settings.

I see this is a month old thread, but it was the first hit on Google but the answer wasn't clear. Performance settings are unlocked the same way as Developer settings. Open settings, scroll down and select About phone, then scroll to the bottom and click on the Build number several times. After clicking it a few times you'll get a message that says you're only a few clicks away from being a developer. Keep clicking.
That worked... Sweet thanks for the tip!!!!

Paranoid Android 3 screen calibration

Hey guys,
Sorry for asking what is probably a very straight forward question but is the screen calibration feature of PA3 a built in sort of preset setting or is configurable? Its just that I can't see the settings anywhere...

Settings --> Scroll all the way down --> Hybrid properties --> Select options --> Want more? --> Swipe left--> More options.
For Pie settings
Settings --> Scroll all the way down --> Toolbars --> Scroll down
its built in. kernels are so diverse i really dont feel like stepping into that bucket trying to befriend them with one another. i think the way it should be is you get the kernel that you like and support your kernel developer. or get trickstermod instead. if you dont want to worry about this stuff at all but you do have an idea how your screen should look like, then try one of the stock-forked kernels i compiled: http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/mako
i personally think a kernel has to shut up and do its job, i dont want to think about it much. i use the contrasty revision. but you will know what fits you best.

I like how you are giving non-existant directions. There is nothing called "want more?" anywhere.

man he was just trying to tell you: if you want more options then swipe left, it's not that hard to comprehend
